mbulela: Meanwhile, Mukhtar Dan’Iyan, the editor-in-chief of the 15Past8 Media Group based in New York City, who is also an expert on Africa and Middle East policy and security gave his opinion on the matter in a tweet he posted. This government in particular seem to have lots of goodwill, but are unbelievably inept when it comes to managing perception, or any kind of information. Even when the soldiers were running things, the official confusion was never this palpable. 1 Like |

SA is a very transparent country....if your country wanted to do things unlawfully thinking that they will get away with murder unfortunately they fell in the wrong country...surely SA would not hesitate to sell arms to her sister country Nigeria as long as things are done properly..SA publicly condemned the killings of innocent Palestinians particularly women and children by Israel,in stead of supporting SA call, some Africans lambasted on South Africans ...Jacob zuma was the only African leader who did not support the US and UK intention to strike Ukraine for using nuclear bombs to kill civilians..SA needs another African country to add her voice on brics and g20 countries, from the innovative and creative thinking point of view our Nigerian brothers are far from the plate.. major466: America lying since 1776. 2 Likes |

The details of the blocked weapons sale probably got mixed up because Israel does not use Boeing's CH-47 Chinook. List of Boeing CH-47 Chinook operators http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_CH-47_Chinook#Operators |

tinkinjow: There's truth in that story carried by thisday. The US knows how to cover their tracks well so you can never beat them especially in matters of this nature. Very soon you may likely hear the Israelis towing the same lines and those who don't understand these games will foolishly laugh at our military.my brother GOD bless u jare! unfortunately, i stand to be corrected, majority(up to 80%) of nigerians take these things at face value and will gobble up any nonsense spewed out by foreign media and diplomats because they are foreign and therefore trustworthy forgetting that all countries(esp western and middle eastern) have thier own agendas concerning Africa which don't conform with Africa's agenda for itself be it neo-colonialism,jihadism e.t.c and will use every tool at thier disposal to achieve this including the media and N.G.0's. Many Nigerians know but pretend to be unaware that the u.s has always wanted Nigeria to be a subservient vassal country to them but we have always been too big and too strong to allow that. At a time, russia and the U.K also had that attitude towards us but today to many intents and purposes, they have stopped that after seeing our "potential greatness" but unfortunately, america and americans consider themselves a class above the rest and have never stopped trying to undermine succesive Nigerian goverments because we are powerfull in Africa, don't tow thier line and we're non-aligned. They have been predicting doomsday scenarios for Nigeria including violent disintegration, al-quaeda style terrorist groups e.t.c for a long time and who is to say they don't go the extra mile to make thier predictions guaranteed? hmmm, just saying sha oh! Never the less, we have always and will continue to always dissapoint them. Also we need to unite as Nigerians because the forces pitched in battle against us(both overt and covert) are many and great. Nigeria. . . . . . . . . confounding the U.S, the west and thier think-tanks is 1800. 2 Likes |

What most people fail to realize is that countries rarely give away valuable things for free unless through non-profit organizations. When you have a country that does not need the money from an outright sale of equipment to you, they start attaching other conditions that money can't buy. For example, when Nigeria did not allow AFRICOM, do you think that made the U.S. happy? As a person, if you fail to help me in my time of need when I know you're capable of doing so, why should I help you when you need me? Why shouldn't I treat you with scorn? Why should I go out of my way to help you? Do you think you're the only ones with feelings? You cannot claim to be my friend only when you need me. Generally speaking, the U.S. Government controls exports of sensitive equipment, software and technology, and any company needs to make sure that they're not running afoul of the law because the penalties are severe even for dual-use items. You need a pre-license checks and post-shipment verification. If found in violation, you will be subjected to both criminal and civil penalties. For weapons export control violations, there's a maximum criminal penalty of $1 million per violation and, for an individual person, up to 10 years imprisonment. It can also result in civil fine of $500,000 per violation, as well as debarment from exporting defense articles or services. For dual-use export control violations, criminal penalties can be up to a maximum of $500,000 per violation and, for an individual person, up to 10 years imprisonment. Dual-use violations can also be subject to civil fines up to $12,000 per violation. |

I can not believe that many of you people believe this story, I'm with Nigeria on this one, Americans are the most cunning and deceitful bust*rds on Earth, the U.S is well known for saying one thing and then doing the exact opposite, and then they publicly deny doing it. If the U.S was really helping Nigeria, why would Nigerian officials claim that the Americans are refusing to share intel about Boko-Haram with that, if someone was helping you would you go as far as risking your countries reputation by telling journalist that the person who claims to be helping you is doing anything at all? 1 Like

BadBoy25: who gives a fvck about your opinions? the population of nigeria must be reduced from 170 million to 10 million by 2030. stop breeding like rabbits.our opinions don't matter? news flash pigshit! neither does yours. . . . . . America has a population of 300 million plus right? So, in the spirit of fairness ur population should be reduced to say 18 million by 2020 using the same means you advocated above + nile fever + plague + chemical and biological weapons stockpiles fail + nuclear weapons stockpiles and nuclear reactor fail and we'll gladly follow suit in 2040. abi how una see am? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The US are completely correct the Israeli Air force does not have a chinook in their fleet of heavy lifting helicopters you can go ahead and wiki it. So what the hell are we talking about. The Chinook is sole an American craft and used solely by them. 1 Like |

Stupid inference dumb analysis yes, govt might be telling lies but no where in this article did the insane gutter journalist even feebly state that any authorised US official denied blocking FG's purported desire to purchase war crafts. Extremely mischievous or brain-deprived fella the writer is ...anyways, it serves Goodluck right as he has decided to foolishly point to his none-interference with the judiciary as an alibi for unprecedented unpunished corruption under his watch we could all as well distort society with falsehood and criminality and expect to smile to the bank ....fucktards both |
