^^^This is just self-explanatory, and the US actually see Nigeria as having any benefit to America's strategic interests, they would've offered American weapons to Nigeria time ago. The fact that Nigeria has no heavy America weapons - apart from those little world war 2 era ships they were about to decommission, and decided to give Nigeria, to save cost - tells you all you need to know.

Also, I just checked, and the Mukhtar Dan’Iyan is right on the money. Israel doesn't use Chinook - it uses Sikorsky CH-53, and I believe they also use V-22 Osprey. So, where did the Israeli link come from? Nigerian leaders!!!
