An Open Letter by a Northerner to Northerners...

"The Northerners, we have been chasing a rat while our house is on fire. The North is already on fire,instead of making effort to extinguish the fire but we keep dissipating your energy and voices on accusing the South and Jonathan of igniting the fire for us while the fire is incessantly devouring you and destroying our house. If it is true that Jonathan and the South are the ones who kindled this fire on our house that means Jonathan and the South are your enemies

. Between us and our enemies who do you think should extinguish this fire? Are we expecting them to extinguish the fire for us? We have to extinguish the fire before pointing an accusing finger to anyone. Our Northern leaders have to put the North in order but they failed thereby continue apportioning the blame on Jonathan. I am not protecting Jonathan here but the truth must be told.

The Boko Haram exist since the Obasanjo's era and it keep growing through the Yar'adua's and it continues growing today. Our Northern leaders including the traditional rulers are the most selfish people I know. All what they care is their family and immediate relatives. The traditional rulers, ranging from the Sultan of Sokoto to Ward Head (Mai anguwa), are usually apportioning traditional titles to criminal politicians and richers with the expectation of contracts, employment opportunities and favours to their close ones. If the employment opportunity comes, they always give it to their close ones. They don't care about the youth in the region. They always hope that their children will be educated and rule the region forever. These three category of persons are the ones responsible for the Northern predicament.


They are:

the politicians of the region,

the traditional rulers and

religious preachers who answer the name "scholars".

Religion and politics and war in the north? Pls dont cry for argentina, the war will not stop... this is just d begining; a tip of d iceberg... it will continue no matter jonathan's effort. It will still continue when jonathan has left power... it has somthing to do with d ways of islam and the desires of d moslems... the division and d hatred is there, with a few adherents being sure and convinced they are serving God... op is right. They should help in quenching d fire in thier house. A southerner will never tolerate 'popular' chaos for so long in his region; like the militant thing; Killing innocent people and endangering the future of a southerner's child? He will sniff u out by any means! He will end u before u grow. Most notherners, no matter thier level of education, hav very little capabilty for ordinary discernment and are vulnerable to deep sitted religious bias that further compounds thier existing low sense of judgement... The world over, islamic enclaves are known for division, animosity and war and most of all, the weird crave for self destruction. You hold yur neck carelessly they yank it off; edge of the sit existence. They dont end once they start, till they become history by martyrdom. Itz a pathetic story. Forget d seemingly peaceful saudi arabia; thiers is in d offing about to start. Well, it has no cure. They must live with it or near it or both. What a life!
