The spam plugin of this forum needs to be rewritten. At this stage, Seun should be able to spare money to employ real programmers for Nairaland. Fake people pass through the nonsensical spambot and real people who are trying to help get banned all the time, and never get an apology for it! |

Please Dear SkyDancer and other Forumites, I would gladly like to know where in Lagos I can buy a replacement for my Toshiba Satellite Laptop battery. It is an L300 series, and the Li-ion battery is model No: PA3534U-1BRS. Since I have a limited time here in Lagos (less than 2wks) I would be glad if anyone with information on where to buy, or perhaps even has the product itself helps me out as soon as possible. My attempts to locate any Toshiba service centre here in Nigeria has failed. The Laptop is now about 2yrs+. Initially, the battery life was about 3 hrs, but now once i unplug, the juice runs down in less than 15mins! Thanks a lot in advance PS: Skydancer, coolu temper for Seun. |

Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by denzel2009: 7:51pm On Sep 03, 2011 |
Deji I don't think you can restore a formatted drive. He needs a sophisticated data recovery software to get his files back. Right now, I suggest he takes it on the chin and start on a fresh page and also consider it as lessons learnt. If you are going to do anything, as in ANYTHING at all on any of your drives, make sure you have a ready made back up before you start. I have lost a about 100Gb of data by just trying to extend a drive, thank God for pc cloning/imaging I wouldn't have been able to get the files back. |

Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by Nobody: 8:26pm On Sep 03, 2011 |
@ denzel2009 That's the reason why you have to remain silent here sometime. He said he didn't want to lose 83gb of drive I (not the data)and didn't post back his result after my recommendation than say I didn't see anything and chooses to ignore my last questions. Some guys are very funny! I am very suspicious of him though. 1. Either he deleted the drive in question. 2. If it was a separate HD, it might be signal cable problem or cyclical redundancy related. 3. He didn't follow closely what I told him to do. Well, it is up to him to either accept what we told him here or take it to a reputable technician. |
