My compaq starter refuses to instal firefox 6. It stops installing after showing pop up saying 'extracting' |

3kay945: go to program file and see if there is a mozilla/firefox folder if its there delete it and restart your pc then download firefox again |

I replace my laptop battery but if i remove the power from the source it goes of immediately, just like d previews one i replaced again but the problem persist.pls what shld i do to correct this problem and what is d possible cause? |

my system hang when in home screen i.e when i power on after the welcome messages it will write(application fail to initialize properly 0x80000003 click ok to terminate the application ) after clicking ok it will get to the home screen and hang have taken it to some acclaim computer engineer who formatted it for me but the problem still persist pls help me out the system is Compaq desktop p4 ram 512 Hd 80g thanks in advance |

3kay945: 1st is your wireless ON on your pc ? if it sometimes you have to restart the wireless router then your pc should be able to pick it, then configure and restart your pc or both pc and router |

ZIM DRILL:That's not a nice way to reply ZIM @melotech: You should specify the title of the Window so we can know the application that encounters this error when you boot. From the way you sound, it might be might be your userinit. Once we find out the culprit, we will be in a better position to determine the next step |

Pls help me out, my compaq presario nx 7000 report error *smart hard drive detect imminent failure in line 05*. i have tried to replace the hard drive & connector believing that one of them is failty, yet the system still report error each time i power it on. i'm using windows Xp, 80Gb, 512 ram. ZIM DRILL:Yeah, I know, but on taking a closer look at his case, you would have realized it's not something that can be solved with Google. It's an internal application problem and he doesn't even know the application giving the problem yet. It's not that simple and besides, don't expect everyone can easily find solutions like you on the Internet. |

melotech: ZIM DRILL: Go back to the technician. Engineer To do the following List On getting there tell the engineer you like to click run and type in msconfig press enter click start up and remove all the ticks except those that start with Microsoft co operation. click apply and ok restart then test to see if error would appear. Engineer should propose another 512MB to make it 1GB .Engineer should run cc leaner to remove junks Tell engineer to run cmd as an administrator and type fsutil dirty query c: then press enter c stands for your hard drive letter if still no joy tell engineer to visit bios and run a memory test. If possible list all the programmes you have installed on your computer by going to control panel add remove program |

^^^^ You installed the OS twice. One of them has the problem. Click on your battery icon and make some adjustment - when you want your system to hibernate ,etc. |
