Belong, I appreciate all your contributions so far, you are doing a great job here, God bless you Sir. Please kindly advise: I had a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, ATS Certificate(ICAN), and later M Sc Banking & Finance as I had most of my career in Banking. I first worked in Bank for 3 years as Cash Officer and was retrench end during the Tsunami. Thereafter, I worked with a private company as an Internal Auditor for solid 3 years after which I rejoined Banking again until now. I wish to do Assessment as an Internal Auditor, am I qualified? Do I have a little chance to apply as Internal Auditor with all of this I have said? The former bank I I worked before has been acquired by another Bank. Can I also claim my banking experience to add to the ones as Internal Auditor as banks do not usually write on the offer letter the position but GRADE? Also, will my certificates all together qualify me as an Internal Auditor? I wish to know all of this before I begin the process. I would very much appreciate your opinion. Thanks. |

Thanks Bellong, i really appreciate ur thoughts & will give it a shot. quote author=bellong post=52314712] What is your specifications ![]() ![]() ![]() I get them plenty, can dash you one. @Damoche64, If you have the experience, to avoid complicating issues, just assess it. Vinsmuft: I believe he applied for student visa when teleperformance was still handling the application processing to Pretoria. Teleperformance does only biometrics now for temporary visa applicants and no longer involved in the application. So your friend only told you part of the story. PR applicants don't do biometrics... Teleperformance don't handle any of the PR process. In essence, paying in Naira is not possible at this stage. @Canadianboy, If the occupantion is assessed by VETASSES, don't disturb yourself. Look for a similar Occupation assessed by another body and jettison VETASSES. Maybe external auditor with CA CC: Tyosho |

bellong:Thanks Belong for your response. However, if I may ask, with my ATS certificate together with my MSc Banking & Finance, and B.Sc Sociology, can I qualify as an External Auditor, because I would have preferred to choose External Auditor? Thanks. |

Good day house I really want to appreciate those (Bellong et al) who have created this thread and also contributed highly relevant information to educate people like me on the steps towards obtaining PR through skilled migration. I have taken time to go through the pages of this thread right from pg 1, and have really learnt a lot. i have kick-started and really want to move at an express speed if possible due to various reasons like, skill migration policies changing, occupation ceiling getting filled up (like electronic engr) and so on. Please, i need experts in the house (especially those already assessed by Engineer Australia) to help clear my doubt on if student's copy of an academic transcript or an official copy i got through a previous employer is accepted by EA?, as i very well know that some other assessing bodies don't accept, i equally know that requirement varies with different assessing bodies, hence the question as stated above. i have gone through the MSA booklet it only states that a complete and official transcript should be uploaded. Thank you all in anticipation for the response. |

Emmabogs: Haba!! But you said you have gone through the thread from page 1. Ok oo. EA accepts your student's copy, the original submitted to an employer is equally accepted (that's what I used) |

jamson: Lol. I have actually gone thru, i read a page where some one said student copy was rejected for Vetasses. Maybe i got it mixed up. Thanks so much. That was very valuable. 1 Like |

Emmabogs: VETASSESS is a very strict, bureaucratic and dogmatic body. I used Student Copy of bachelors transcript for EA.. , nobody complained... I submitted letter of enrollment for masters instead of certificate, and submitted partial transcript of only first semester.. Nobody complained.. 1 Like |

@Bnimz, mamajaz VETASSESS wahala is "four" much sef. ![]() During the holiday, I used the Nairaland "search" feature to check mentions for VETASSESS and it brought out 20 pages. Come and see lamentations upon lamentations. That body no try at all. However, reading through the entire 20 pages gave me some insights which would be useful should I go ahead with the assessment . |

Oga bellong and other amiable landlords on this group, i hail oo Thanks for all the support you have been giving people so far on this platform, may God bless you all abundantly amen. I went back to reading the thread again, this our profession is really giving tough time. All medical doctors here can relate. I saw where bellong advised someone, tony....., cant recall d name well about having to write the AMC first stage before getting a temporary work permit in australia. Toor, we are too broke for that, exam fee, flight and other expenses to SA or egypt where the exam can be taken. We decided to go with the primary health organisation manager, assessed by vetassess, no specialisation required, no minimum requirement required. Though we wld go with the skill assessment support first inorder not to waste precious money on the skill assessment proper. We wld do that by GOD's grace January. I wld need all the supports from you all . Work in a general hospital and also a private hospital (PP) simulttaneously(work in the private hospital 4pm - 10pm daily + weekends. Can i claim that the private hospital is a private primary health center/organisation/hospital? I have 4 years work experience ( including housemanship done in a teachung hospital, during my service year, worked as d only doctor in a newly built hralth center in that village, and then since den my present job) Please house, what are my chances? What are the likely challenges i can stumble upon in my journey? Age - 30 points I would definitely adjust my cv to be in line with that of the primary health organisation manager. In the private hospital where i work, we are just 2 doctors that work there and oversee all activities, the other doctor covers 8am-4pm I wish i can get a positive assesment so as to be a point of contact for medical doctors, just like the engineers in the house. Please help so i dont make any mistake. Thanks. 1 Like |

To my Oga in the house, I need clarification as regards the family information in the form 80, Parent and Sibling section. Is it necessary to fill in the information because i read somewhere where someone filled in the info and a request was made for parent medical examination. As regards my parent, both are deceased but i have siblings. Can i fill their details without incurring additional cost for medical examination because am only preparing for my immediate family. |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by bellong: 1:42am On Dec 29, 2016 |
@Bigfido Your wife only need English test if she can't get a letter from her university in support of language competence. If you have the required points, you don't need any point from her. @yody, Yes you can nominate PHM or Medical Administrator. However, you need to read VETASSES' instructions for the two occupations. I once attached a document from VETASSES here which has further information about all occupations assessed by the body. I am very sure, your degree will be assessed positively, where you may need to work on is how to convince them on the experience. Once you land, waste no time in passing the AMC exam. Practising as a doctor is a gold mine. Unfortunately, my brain is too active to go back and study medicine.. ![]() @bolaobby, In the form 80 and 1221, you must fill in the information of all your siblings. You wouldn't have to do their medicals except you want to add them as dependents. When I submitted my application, I added some family members as dependents not traveling with me but DIBP crossed them all out themselves. No medicals requested for any of them. |
