OK. 1. Do they require both transcript and statement of result? If one doesn't have a transcript, will that mean going to the school to get one? 2. By certified true copy, where or who can do this certifying of original copies. I read somewhere some people did it 100 per page. Does that work? Basically I'd do photocopy of each document and get it stamped ? 3. My husband is the principal applicant. He has worked in the bank for over 10 years and studied Computer science. He works as a network engineer . He def won't get a reference from the bank. So third party reference. Could you plz help with a sample of this reference letter? Does it have to be on company letter-head? I had plenty other questions and I can't rmbr them right now. Thank you. bolaobby: |

Happy New Year guys, please I need your quick take on this in order to make a well informed decision in this NEW YEAR. My wife has over five years experience as a Customer Service Representative with a Telecommunications firm but became a Quality assurance officer with the same company about three months ago. My question is is it possible to get a positive assessment if she nominates Call or Contact Centre Manager role? I earnestly await your kind responses. Cheers. |

Well done Bellong and all the ogas in the house! Please someone should come to aid I graduated in 2012 as Electrical/Electronics Engr. and am about completing my Masters degree in the same field hopefully around March 2017 without working experience except the usual 6months IT n 1yr NYSC which I did in 2011 n 2014 respectively. Moreso, I run a Printing/publishing office registered with CAC for 7yrs now where I personally handles the Graphics design of every job n it always puts food on my table. PTE: about to register Age: 31 NB: I wouldn't mind nominating either of the two (Electrical/Electronics related in SOL or Graphics designer in CSOL) Please kindly advice; with this info above do I stand a chance of getting positive assessment n necessary point required to migrate Thanx |

dynamickbreaker: Yeah, go for Electrical Engineer and assess with EA. You don't need work experience and can write your CDR based on IT, final year project etc. There's so much info on this thread for Engineers, so a quick run through will be beneficial. Cheers! |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by bolaobby: 11:15am On Jan 03, 2017 |
trastar: To your first question, ACS require both transcript and your certificate. The transcript is needed to know the level of computer related courses you were taught while in school in comparison to Australia standard. You have to get the transcript from your school else it will delay the assessment. 2. ACS require a certified true copy of all your documents. You have to make photocopy of your document and get it certified at High Court. As at the time i did mine in Nov 2016, the CTC was done N100 per page. It is the certified copy that you will scan and upload for the assessment. 3. If you can't get employment reference from your employer, do a statutory declaration which can be done at high court likewise. I will attach the copy posted on this forum by Bellong. That is the one used by him during his own processing. From my own experience, i did attached my Cisco CCNP and CCIE certificate along with some Microsoft certification. I publish my cisco certification so they can access it from my cisco portal but was not able to do the same for Microsoft because i lost my login credential, i was asked to send the transcript for my Microsoft certification which i can't access. I have to tell them to assess other credential and leave out the Microsoft certification because i couldn't produce the transcript. I hope this will help 2 Likes

Good morning everyone. May all our positive expectations for 2017 be fulfilled. Has anyone gotten an "upward" rescore on PTE-Academic? My wife wrote the test in December and got the following: Listening-80, Reading-74, Speaking-65, Writing-88 She prepared very vigorously and retook the test yesterday and got the following; Listening-90, Reading-76, Speaking-90, Writing-90 At this point, I find it very difficult to even ask her to write the test again. She even made me promise before the test not to push her to rewrite the test if it doesn't swing to ''Superior". She really pushed herself to the limits on this new test in spite of a very demanding job, so I can understand how she feels right now. Besides, we also expended a fortune on online preparation materials. The results would have been ok if it was merely to obtain 10 points i.e. Proficient English. She already had 10 points from IELTS-Academic; we explored this option to get additional 10 points and increase our chances of getting ITA in view of the stiff competition in her nominated occupation. Accountant (General) is on pro-rata, so the earlier one can get ITA, the better. No one knows what the position may be from July 1, 2017. I have ALL the documents required for a VETASSESS assessment. I know we can claim partner points (5 points) upon a positive outcome but we felt that PTE-Academic is a faster, cheaper and more productive (10 points) option. Suggestions and advice are welcome. God bless you all. cc: Bnimz, Mctowel01, bellong, mrsdee, NNBB2012, kubbiebrownie, Bimpsy99, Scrollmeout, Johnsontade, Izykvision01, Crestline, Pingu2k5, OmogeNG |

Good day everyone, am really new here and have been reading up on the general guides, the major challenge am having now is that my qualification does not tally with my work experience and on the VETASSESS site, it says your qualification has to be close to your work experience for it to be assessed. i studied a language and am working in the financial sector. please is there a way around this glitch? thank you. |

40manlappy: Yet to come across anyone with an upward review of scores after remark. As PTE-A is all computer-based, same computer would do the rescoring and well, give same output (previous score). Buy madam a gift and psych her to rewrite the final time. She don try- see 90's everywhere! Make she try one more time. Cost and time factors favour sitting for one more PTE-A test versus claiming partner points. 3 Likes |

Thank you so much. As for the statutory declaration, i have actually seen that copy here and saved it. what got me confused was reading the application checklist on ACS and them stating that they will not accept self statutory declarations. That its has to be a work colleague, preferably supervisor. Could you please clarify on that or the rule has changed? bolaobby: |

trastar: The rule of ACS hasn't change in regards to this. Ideally, statutory declaration is not to be written by you but you have to give guidance to the person as regards the information needed on it. As stated by ACS, it must be your superior or supervisor. The information should be clearly stated in the declaration as to who is writing the reference, his post and who the person is to you in the company. In this regards, it does not need to be on the company's letter headed paper after which you get it certified. 1 Like |

[quote author=occie3 post=52500711] I feel you can try medical administrator not sure of the title it will fit better since you worked mainly in the clinic/hospital setting. Give vetassess a try. The reason I said this is because I tried vetassess and although I used the anzosearch job description the main catch is to define what a primary health organisation is. If you are able to prove that, then go ahead. And they also wanted an organisation flow chart and evidence of business partnership with clients eg other gp centers, hospitals, ngo's etc. Note that a managerial position will require a minimum of 15 staff directly under you. I will try to recover the assessment from my bad laptop and upload it someday. For now the goal is to enter the country and write the exams. 1 Like |

40manlappy:Hard luck there. Like has been suggested, its advisable your wife takes it again. I know its not easy. One thing I remember doing in my 2nd attempt is that I just focused on key strategies to take. i didn't re-practise listening and writing since i already had the strategy. Since you ve made promises, convince your wife to go take it like a normal test. No deep practice except in reading. Normally, doing the test twice naturally familiarizes one with the test. So, don't be too hard with the practice. Do what they call soft work. Take the next test like a normal one, like after work, or on a free day and see it like you re visiting a friend with goodies(strategies) to ease off the pressure. Rather than going on rigid practices, just try to identify the weak areas, negative exam circumstances, and possible improvements which are proven to be efficient... The good thing is that there is a positive trend from the previous test. She is almost there..Goodluck 2 Likes |

Quick question ACS guys.. I have a friend who has a Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering... And a CCNA certification, currently working on CCNP.. Work experience is less than one year though... Can he get a positive assessment from ACS? I don't want to tell him anything about this process and raise his hopes if he can't make it... |

Dear Expats in the house, happy new year to you all. Still on the matter, i got a mail from CO (i noticed that my CO has been changed) and she is requesting for the following documents from my spouse; Form 80, form 1221, CV, certified copy of passport datapage, certified copy of birth certificate, proof of english language. All this document has previously been provided to them. For the form 80 and 1221, i made a mistake which i promptly corrected using notification of incorrect information. For the certified copies, i certified same at the oats commissioner. For the proof of english, i got a letter from the university stating that the course was taught in english language and also submitted transcript as well as the certificate. I also submitted CV. I uploaded all these documents in my ImmiAccount and clicked the information provided button. all this was done in October. I am quite confused as to what to do. I am of the opinion that the new CO didnt see these documents but i dont want to take chances. Please anyone that has experienced this can shed more light. Thanks |

I actually taught that maybe she was not satisfied with the provided info but then again, what is there not to be satisfied about? That is the true info of what was requested. |
