@Believer84,we're actually having almost the same issues,is there anything like an infection from the result of the first test your DH did?if there's any trace of infection,I'll advice it's properly looked into. In our case the 1st test DH did,it was a total count of 10,000...that was really a down casting moment for us,he was treated for an infection(injection shots and drugs).Even if we were to go for an IVF option then, the count was way too low.The count improved to 2million(after 4months) with better motility. He started a series of supplements thereafter(Zinc-50mg,vitamin A-10,000IU,vitamin E-1000IU ,vitamin C-1000IU,folic acid and ho-r-ny goat weed). After three months, the count improved to 8million,better motility, much more higher volume.Presently,he's still on the same supplements with the exception of Hot goat weed;he's now on ADDYZOA(you can google it)-All these were on the recommendation of our doc. Lest I forget,he also did an immuno assay test(FSH,LH,prolactin and Testosterone tests). We're seriously trusting God for our own miracle.Pls try as much as possible to be there for him,I know how trying it can be,but being too"emotional",I've realized can't solve the problem.
I've been trying to take my mind off ttc,but...hmmm,it's not easy...4th year anniversary is just some months away.It is well.
To all ladies TTC,stay strong,I've been a silent reader for a while now and I can say I've drawn strength from the courage of a lot of ladies here.Very soon, our names and stories would change. Love you all

HI LADIES AM BACK AGAIN OOOOOOOOOOOOO . I SAW MY MENSURATION ON 8MARCH THIS MONTH , HAD INTIMATE DURING MY OVULATION , THEN I STARTED NOTICING HEAVY CRAMP BLOOD FOR 3DAYS . I BECAME SCARED THEN CONSULTED MY GYNACOLOGIST. YESTERDAY I DID AN ECOGRAFICAL DIAGNOSIS THE RESULT CAME OUT THAT I HAVE FIBROID. ACCORDING TO THE DOCTOR THEY ARE 3 . 2 STILL THINY BUT 1 ABOUT 2.4CENTIMETRE .THE FIRST 2 HAS NO PROBLEM BUT THE LATER SEEMS TO BE THE PROBLEM THAT IS HINDERING ME NOT TO CONCEIVE, ITS IN A DELICATE POSITION .THEN HE ADVICE US TO WAIT TILL THREE MONTHS IF THE BLOOD CONSISTS AFTER MENSURATION THEN WE WILL HAVE ANOTHER OPTION USING ANAGELSTICS SYSTEM.BUT HE IS NOT GUANRANTEE FOR THE SECOND OPTION THAT MOST PEOPLE HE HAS SEEN THAT DID THEY ANAGESTIC CONTINUE BLEEDING AFTER THE TREATMENT.

PLS LADIES AM CONFUSED . HAS ANYONE HAVE SUCH PROBLEM OR WHAT IS THE WAY FORWARD THOUGH MY HUSBAND IS GOING TO CONSULT ANOTHER GYNACOLOGIST FOR THE RESULT AND COMPARE THE WAY FORWARD.SINCE YESTERDAY I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP . PLS HELPPPPPPP.

How is everybody doing today? I have not been able to post here for some days because i was a little bit ill.

Quick update: After my failed IUI last cycle,my doctor advised me to take a break this cycle from all medication to allow my body recover from those excessive hormone last cycle. However,i did not have the patience to sit out this cycle without doing anyhting to help my BFP along and as such i had to seek traditional fertility specialist. I was introduced to an Ijaw woman who rubbed my tommy and gave me some herbs to increase my chance of fertiltiy and also performed what she called drilling of the uterus in order to be receptive to any fertilized egg.

Things we go through when one is ttcing, na wao. I will always keep you ladies updated. Sending loads of baby dust to your way.

Abeg just ignore anybody trying to sell you any products on this threads.

If from the collective knowledge of this thread, nobody has heard of the product, the seller find it necessary to spam forums then it is probably not a good product or the genuine product.

Please do not bother even wasting your time trying to research, because even if you learn the product may be useful, there is no guarantee that the seller is not selling fake versions.

believer84: Hello Mums.I am new on this forum.I got married in 2010 and its less than a month to my 2nd anniversary.I've been TTC ever since.in 2010 we went through a series of tests I was certified okay but my husband was said to have low sperm count. He was placed on manix for 2months yet no show.after a while we repeated the tests, this time the results read no sperm at all. As at dec 2011 when we repeated the test twas the same results.my husband was placed on tetestorone injecs and I'm yet to be pregnant still.the doc says options include ivf,iui with donor sperm or icsi.my husband will not hear of that what do I do.I'll turn 28 this year and my husband is goin on 37.I'm getting frustrated

@believer84 My sister I can feel your fustration. MFI (Male fertility Issue) can be very fustrating because it is always difficult to admit that the fault is from them. When faced with such challenge, the major work is that of the woman. Your hubby needs to change his deit and start to take supplements like maca, vit c, b and e. Pls note that testoterone injection is a no no for men when u are ttc. It causes sterility (you can check it online). I read somewhere that they now using it as a form of contraceptive for men in asia. Also note that it takes 3 mths for men to produce sperm so please let ur hubby stir clear of sperm killer like putting cell phone in his pocket, placing laptop on his lap wearing tight fitting briefs/ jeans, sitting on hot surfaces and exposing himself to household chemicals like pesticides. Eating balance diet rich in zinc and protein is also helpful. My dr even reccommend eating boiled unriped plantain. Lastly my sister, always be there for him, be patience with him and I know God will answer our prayers. Lot of sticky baby dust to all.

@Double Blessings, yes he was screened for infection and certified okay.
Then placed on Tetestorone shots for a month(december) we haven't tested ever since.
Presently he is taking Forever living products(multi maca, ginchia etc) since january.
Unlike yours, mine isn't low sperm count but no sperm count at all.
My marriage turns 2 next month.
I just tire

@believer84,
No s.perm count at all? This sounds like a hopeless case sad. I am very sorry for him, it maybe necessary to consider whether there is a blockage in his testicles that may be rectifiable with surgery, failing that then the logical alternative would be IVF with donor sperm.

I am not a Doctor, but the idea of Testosterone shots would appear to be counter-productive.

90% of testosterone the main male hormone is manufactured in the testicles, if a man is given testosterone injectiions, his testicles would stop working and would start to shrivel away. Since spe.rm is manufactured in the testicles, any treatment that can make the testicles to stop working, has to be avoided IMO. Yor need to get a 2nd opinion ASAP.

@all. I'll be goin for the massage next week but may not take their drugs cos I just wanna correct my retroverted (tilted) uterus... sad
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by doubleblessing(f): 8:02am On Mar 30, 2012
@Gen Buhari, you kinda just expressed my opinion.
@Believer84,pls I think you need to get a 2nd opinion from another Urologist(hope I got the name right),it could be a blockage ,variscose veins around his vas deferens(which can be corrected surgically I learnt);I also think you should get a second opinion on the testosterone shots ASAP. Stay strong. Baby dust to all ladies in the house. Do have a fab weekend.

Hey ladies, have been a silent reader and have been contemplating joining but finally made the leap, lol.
In my late twenties, married for almost a year and no show. One Bd moment,my DH noticed fluid from my twins,we watched it and it continued till the next month.Went to gp and he ordered blood tests.Came out to show high prolactin so galactorrhea. Now,im scheduled for a second batch of blood tests and depending on the result may have to go for an MRI to know for certain if it is a prolactinoma.
The thing is that i'm not suffering from the typical symptoms,i even get positive opk but i doubt i ovulate cos i don't have the midcycle pain and the other symptoms..I also get my periods monthly just that i do not have a regular cycle length.Infact,it is complicated. As we are both in the field,we just thank God it is not a malignant condition and there is hope. The thing is that it hinders ovulation as it inhibits estrogen and other hormones.
But all my pals are already pregnant and everyone around me is getting bfp, hmmmm.I haven't told my family yet as i do not live in Nigeria, and i do not want to tell them till i start recieving treatment.
I am having soo much faith that my bfp will come asap, the same faith i am urging us all to have here.Infact i have been Bd with all anger,i'm sure DH has been afraid cheesy cheesy

Baby Dust to all...

You are amazing please, and God will keep you all.

It was not massage, she just robbed my tommy and inserted something in my vajay vajay overnight to flush out my system which she called drilling. It was really really painful and gave me one agbo the next day and did fasting/prayers as well, thats all. Like u said,i pray that we will not take anything that will make our journey longer in Jesus name. For those going through Male Factor Infertility my heart goes out to you,i cant even imagine what you are going through,I would probably have gone insane.I pray that the good Lord will come and see you through this trying times. You may want to explore ICSI if it is low sperm count, remember it is just 1 spermy and 1 egg,so it can happen for you.Baby dust your way.

Hi Ladies,

I don't really post but I was moved especially when i read that some of you are suffering from MF. We do have MF as well and I would recommend that your DH gets tested for DNA Fragmentation. Anything above 25% then the only solution is God because people who gets this result are asked to look into sperm donor.

The list of things to take to improve sperm are as follows:

L'Arginine 1000mg
Vitamin E 1000IU
Vitamin C 1000mg
L'CArnitine 3000mg
Co Q
Pycnogenol
Resveratrol
B vitamins
Folic Acid

And the new technology everyone has been talking about pICSI or IMSI.

IMSI is done after sperm retrieval, it magnifies the sperm and can see if there are defects in the head or tail
pICSI mimicks the egg environment, see if the sperm will be drawn to the egg and then ICSI is done.

These two procedures are done just before ICSI is done and it chooses the best sperm.
I've read up on all of this because we suffer from MF

With low motility and low morphology, a doctor in Greece (I've been there) seem to think antibiotics will help. My DH is on Doxycycline 100mg x 2 everyday and a lot of women actually swear by this.

Pls read this link for more info on DNA Frag
http://www.tdlpathology.com/services-divisions/tdl-andrology/sperm-dna-fragmentation

There is this craze going on in Fertility Friends called Cordyceps which helps motility and morphology as well as sperm count. There are two types the one grown in Tibet, China and the strain taken from China and grown in the USA. I'm currently taking the Tinet one and it is so effective. It has reduced my period to 27 days and last cycle I had so much blood TMI!!!!

@ believer 84 your hubby may be suffering from NOA (non obstructive azoospermia)- this is when sperm is retrieved through TESA or PESA. A lot of people have conceived through this so not the end of the road. But if you're in Naija, I'm not really sure if they do this procedure.

@ Negozi, what is an ECOGRAFICAL DIAGNOSIS?? Like the Greek doctor said to me every black woman has fibroid, even the young ones that donate their eggs who are as young as 25-27 also have this. It becomes a problem if Hysteroscopy is done and the fibroid is in your uterus. Your womb can't be seen through an ultrasound.

We've done ICSI 5 times and it gets better each cycle. I've learnt a lot with each procedure.
