Really want to update on this my new cycle as l believe GOD for a BFP!

Fertility Challenge: Low Progesterone,High Prolactin,irregular period and one blocked tube.
Previous Medication: HSG,flusing of tubes,dusphaston, parlodel, clomid, pregnacare for conception, vit E, ciprotab etc(By my gynea)... tired of all these medications.

New cycle started April 5.

Medications:

Prayer Prayer Prayer
Vitex 400mg twice a day
calcium, magenesium, zinc with vit D3- 1 a day (The brand contains calcium 333mg, mag 133mg, zinc 5mg vit D3 200 I.U.)
Omega Plus (i.e 3,6 and 9 oils) plan to stop after Ovulation
Emzor folic acid... 1 day
Decaf green with white tea.. one cup a day ( will stop after ovulation)
Eating yam every other day (read that african yam helps with maturing follicles and mutiple birth... am praying to have triplets 2boys and a girl)
Ensure l eat fruits everyday.. carrot, mangoes, watermelon, bananas either of these my favorite friuts
Water, water, water

Today cycle day 9, yesterday noticed pap like CM.. good sign for me, dont have CM this early

I have a method I got online called 'carry the candle' and it has to do with how you have se*x.

We all know the semen passes through the cervix and then to the egg in the ovaries before fertilization takes place but if the passage of semen is not smooth, this process could be hindered.

This is how it goes, while having sex, get a pillow and but it under your bum and stay that way for like 10 mins after he cums so that there would be a guaranteed passage through the cervix to the ovaries 'and stay in'. At the point of ejaculating, men have a desire to keep on thrusting but in this case he has to hold himself at this point and when he is about to come, get his peni*s as much as possible at the vagin*a end touching the cervix as much as possible and cums in that position so it is just as if giving the semen only one way to escape and not stay in the vagin*a but moves through the cervix to the ovaries.

Some women have inverted cervices so, this should be done in in reverse: front on the bed and pillow at the base of stomach and every other step remains the same.

However,i have my periods every month,i am just not sure i ovulate and i cannot even pinpoint the ovulation since my period swings days.
I got tired of using the opk sef and dropped it entirely.Started bbt charting on fertility friend..well guess what?I had the thermal shift on CD 27,lol.I was only looking out for Ov at least CD 18-22 highest so you can imagine my shock..
Unfortunately even if i Ovulated,i don't think i BD on the so called fertile days...Can u imagine?/After serious bd non stop from day 16-22,and almost fainting from exhaustion,even to the extent of DH eyes shining with fear when he sees me approaching,lol(just exaggerating)..
I feel so sad..infact i'm still waiting for an appointment to be fixed for me with the endocrinologist,i just want treatment sharpish,don't want to go through all the investigations again jare..all them magnetic rays and co..
If you have same issues as me,have you gotten the treatment for high prolactin?How did it go?

I feel you on this. I have slightly high prolactin levels as well even though my doctor says it's fine but it's slightly elevated. My current levels are swinging between 27-29 even though it was previously around 32/33. . . . .I'll advise you take Vitex (a herbal fertility blend) to help you gradually reduce your prolactin levels and help in regularising your cycles.

Bromocromptine(sp?)that doctors often prescribe to reduce prolactin levels has some crazy side effects that can almost run you crazy! Men, i had to drop that thing like it's hot. . . .

I can imagine how you must have felt when you realised the thermal shift. . . . That's the problem with irregular cycles and even our bodies sef at times. . . . They just have a mind of their own at times and it can just be so frustrating, especially when one realises that all the energy in the BD was wasted. . . . lol! I'll also advise you keep monitoring your CM as well even though i know that can be a chore on its own too but wetin we go do? lol!

My prolactin level was 31, anything above 20 is high.l was placed on Parlode to reduce it, side effects headache, getting fat. Had to stop jare. My cycle length is usually 37, but last month was 50+, i used EPO and l think it caused it. l later researched that EPO is more of estrogen. So l was adding more estrogen which decreased my already low progesterone. l actually ovulated on cycle day 42 when l have already stopped BD like in your case.. wahala with TTC.I wish to keep on BD till l either see BFP or . I chart my Ovulation by monitoring my CM and how l feel ( have known my body over the years of ttc)
My online research showed that Vitex is best herbal treatment for my challenges.

Plus the bromocriptine has real success at restoring the gonadotropic hormones and giving back regular cycles.All the studies have been positive..I have been dreaming about that drug,i see it dancing in my dreams..hehehehehehehe.

Getting fat too??Heii.I will drink it with cabbage diet,anything to get treated.Your cycle length for last month 50+?Maybe it's this vitex oo,longest i've ever gone is 39days.I have noticed that anytime i am apart from DH for some months and when we get back and bd,my cycle shifts.I don't understand this,is BD now considered stress??
I do not know if to term my cycles irregular as i see it every month just that the dates are funny and in rare cases,extends past 33.
As for the CM,hmmmmm i don't produce a lot i guess,i have never even seen the EWCM and the thought of self checking is just driving me up the wall.It's just sooo .I have never felt differently after my useless painful AF.I keep on watching out for all those signs of ovulation,but nothing.That's why i decided to chart the bbt and know if i ovulate at all.So far,my temp is still elevated 5DPO,zigzagging but hasn't gone near the coverline.


At least your prolactin levels are just elevated,mine is dancing azonto.At the worst it's a prolactinoma.I am not too worried because it can be treated.People have gone through worse stuff like malignant cancers so i am grateful to God i have something that's treatable.

meanwhile,i think the best thing as advised is just to bd 3x a week at the least.But somedays you are just too tired abegg.
I just don't know why this body likes playing tricks..but it is well.

This is my first cycle on Vitex, will see how it helps out.
As l said my gyean placed me on bromocriptine i.e Parlodel for months... l couldnt continue before of the side effects. I need something that will naturally restore my hormones and make it permanent. I read that the parlodel will work as long as u use it, when you stop the problem reserves. I used parlodel, clomid and dusphaston at the same time, l ovulated on cycle day 19 during those periods, but never got pg...but l never noticed any CM when l ovulated then.. monitored ovulation thru scan.. had big matured follicles but no pg.
I just want my body to naturally work...

I choose to laugh and try to be happy but some days are worse than the rest.

Read my post again....I didn't ovulate at CD42 oh...lol! My periods are very regular 27/28days.The only thing I noticed late last year was that my periods became unusually short like 2days...unlike the normal 4-5days...That was what instigated my move to Vitex & my period is now normalising...the last one was 4days which was a significant improvement.
The problem with the bromo.like Udoka said is the crazy side effects & I think it's slow to take effect. I used it for almost 3months & it's effect was just very marginal....and you know how TTC is, we want fast results....lol! I just fashied it jare....lol!

I thought the prolactin baseline was 25?...That's what I saw on a couple of sites but i might be wrong sha...This prolactin wahala sef, I just tire....lol!
Am sure the vitex will really help you in regulating your cycles and help in the prolactin reduction as well...

It was written on my test result that d max allowable is 20. Some doctors may see 25 as normal shaa .

Udoka and Nikkygal, abeg pardon me for the mixup.This Ttc is doin my head in,lol.I think the levels you both are saying is correct,just depends on the unit of measurement.here the acceptable level is 630.Mines almost 1300.will look for my result and chek the unit.e be like say I go join dis vitex train o..does it really do much for prolactin?

Quick update: I did HPT yesterday 11DPO and it was BFN,when will all this come to end. I am so obsessed with TTC and it is getting depressing.I wish there is a formula that will make me take my mind off it, this is consuming my all being. Papa God, na ur hand i dey look now oo. God pls,come and strengthen us this trying period. Sprinkling baby dust everywhere.

My Dh is now reading this forum, good for my ttc, he read genbuhari post and has willingly started taking wellman that l bought last year that he sturbornly refused to take. Though his SA is ok, l believe it can be better

@champ. Still in 2ww. Am forcing myself not to poas cos I noticed that when AF is delayed(I have a fairly regular cycle),I get the craving to use up all my hpts.And soon after the BFNs,AF shows up! Dunno what dats about...its as if my body was trying implant d egg(s), den after d test, Mr.Brain tells Mrs Uterus.."Excuse me dear!Can u see dat cute little BFN?Good girl!!Oya release the menses no need to waste ya tym,"

But otherwise, bossom hurts at the side, feeling constipated, felt a bit feverish earlier, feeling a bit lazy...etc! B4 I'd have been pissing on my sticks, now these symptoms are so common pre-AF that I have learnt to ignore dem.

@all. That talk of BDing with all ur myt and hubby running away happens to me sometyms (lmao!!). But funny enuf,when I am in 2ww, that's when the light in DH's eye turns into a twinkle (wink wink)..like now..hence me typing furiously on my phone lik I must submit a thesis...talk about ironic huh? I don sleep for palour tire dis past week!

Update: blood results have been great and for now my ob has asked me to stop doing the blood tesst. Since my periods are considered irregular I am seriously guessing on the number of weeks preg. Until my next dr appt in 3wks , when she will repeat an u/s.

Confession: last week I took another 2 more hpts just because .....But DH Was not happy with me sha. He asked why I was doubting... I guess because of my past experience the devil was playing tricks on my mind.

Also we have not told anyone and I know dh wants to tell his friend soo badly but we are keeping quiet for now. But I am glad I can come on here to share with u ladies, DH wishes he had online friends too lol.


@ ebony13 welcome , I used fertilaid and it helped with my cycle and hormone balance , I also did a detox in February ( I did nt use any detox products just ate raw veggies and fruits and nuts for a month .

Read my post again. . . . I don't have issues with EWCM.So far, i've been able to detect ovulation using my CM together with OPKs so no issues and coupled with the fact that my cycles are pretty regular. I could try preseed though, maybe it could help improve my CM even further....lol! Abeg no harm in trying
