Mkenya2019:Madness. Why are you removing Ruto from fighting corruption? Ruto should fight corruption, actually all African leaders should prioritize fighting corruption. Ruto or any other president in africa should fight corruption by doing so many stuff, but these are just the basics... Choose and appoint clean ministers and other officials Removing beuracracy and time wastage in dealing with corruption cases If the laws are weak,go and convince the parliament to change the laws Expose corrupt officials and allow the law go punish them quick Minimize stupid gov expenditures 2 Likes |

Enact new modern constitution in your wasteland. Independent institution fight corruption. Ruto is not like Tanzania president. He doesn't have powers to fight corruption beyond firing someone from gov .Police in Kenya are independent. Judiciary independent. Anti corruption bodies independent. Asset Recovery independent. The auditor general independent.Budget controller independent. In modern democracy corruption is not fought by charismatic leaders like Magufuli..they are fought by institutions..without favour or fear..however long it takes. jl115:I've told you not once, NEVER RESPOND TO A QUOTE DIRECTED TO SHACKMAN! I believe in your cognitive ability to discern Economics. For you, I can argue this way: Why is a large denominator(population) coming into play? Why are we ignoring real numerators / current prices that define a country's economic progress: GDP /GNP/ NNP? The answer is simple; India's sprawling population is arguably out of control _ and the metric will outrightly not be in favor of India. I know you'll bring in the impact of a huge population in driving the economy: I already discussed all four factors of production - and the conclusion was; huge productive population. India exports services and technology to SA, and maybe Oil. while SA exports mineral reasons like Coal and Gold.(nature produced) . Skilled population my friend. Aside that; majority of Indians are elderly and infant(like 5+, times SA population combined). What does this mean? Zero productivity. Pure liability! Government will spend more on those _ while when per capita is calculated, those number won't be overlooked notwithstanding zero economic output. GDP WILL BE AFFECTED! Still, on the same angle, majority of Indians are idle and jobless... Liability in that regard. So, per capita, it will still affect GDP. Finally, why is India's GDP per capita only 2 times lower than SA's when India has a 23 times huge population? Answer this without repeating what I said. ![]() |

You live in stone age country with stone age ideas. In South Africa does Ramaphosa fight corruption? No South Africa institution fight institution including where Ramaphosa is involved. Zuma is in prison for corruption. Kenya has to build it's institutions to be like those of South Africa...where even president can be arrested and tried for graft. Why would Ruto and executive fight corruption when it harm their interests and their friends interests. If they attempt - it will just be to witchhunt opponents and rivals - and to intimidate others. Most of your idi.ots here do not of course understand this. Ruto legacy will be to empower independent institutions to fight graft - to give them money and leave them alone. Ruto will take administrative actions like firing or not hiring someone with air of graft - but criminal convinctions is beyond him. Ruto in 9 months has moved online gov services from 300 to 5,000! - next month it will be 7,000. That will be his major contribution to fighting graft. Kazikazi: |

Mkenya2019:Geez I need to teach you many stuff...... Do u think the constitution works alone without people? Do u thinķ a constitution is like a magic wand, once u write it down then everything will work out well? If it was that easy ,many countries could have been corrupt free as of now. But unfortunately, constitution need people's will and the desire to make the said constitution work. That is where choosing and grooming good leaders is becoming important. Leaders are there to make sure the constitution works as it have been intended. Your zuma is not in prison although if the constitution was to be applied as it says, the guy could've been in jail although a lot of bloodshed was going to happen. So the leadership decides to avert the bloodshed by letting the guy off the hook. Here the constitution was ignored for the sake of peace. Suprisingly, you deny about Rutos role on fighting corruption but at the same time u mentioned stuff which Ruto did on fighting corruption. You are a confused fella. Moving things online is just one aspect of fighting gov corruption, but it shouldn't end there. As u know, TZ is way above many African gov on the use of IT on gov services actually the country is second in africa on the use of IT in government, but the corruption didn't end. That's why u need more leadership interventions on fighting corruption. Son,do u know why some gov officials are awarded for fighting corruption?

jl115 post=124769123:This is a waft logic, and I will tell you why. India's Population is the world's largest. The comparison is not fair/ apples for apples. In terms of efficient economic production, China is the world's most powerful. Economic production affects GDP/ GNP in current prices, and SLIGHTLY affects GDP per head. That's why India is in the top 5 largest economies in the world and SA isn't. Seychelles has bigger GDP per capita than China, does that mean Seychelle's economic PRODUCTIVITY is more efficient than China's? The answer is a big NO! To put it into a clear picture, China is ranked 64th in GDP per Capita Index. That is behind a whopping 63 nations despite her superiority in productivity. Nonetheless, I get your point. At least you're not in denial that India's economic productivity is more efficient than that of SA. |

Tanzania ahead in Africa in what? Use of IT in gov service - let me laugh in capital letters. Under Ruto - kenya will soon be like Estonia - everything online "We have surpassed the target of digitizing 5,000 govt services, by 1st of June we had fully digitized 5,084 services. By the end of the year, all govt services will have been digitized." CS Owalo: We have managed to fully digitalize 5,084 govt services. We have gone a step further and also identified a total of 9 362 govt services that can possibly be digitalized. Our proposition is that by the end of the year all govt services shall have been digitalized. 'On the roll-out 100,000Km fibre optic cable, our target for June 2023 was 5,000km. Am happy to announce we have surpassed that target and managed to realize 5,280km' - CS Eliud Owalo. ^MM CS Owalo: We have established 421 free public WiFi hotspots as at July 31 and this is informed by close collaboration between the Ministry and county governments. ^PW Kazikazi: |

AfriqueDuZuid: This discussion is above your pay grade. Efficiency in this sense does not mean per capita. If I innovate a machine that can produce 100 times more value than a human, why should I create employment? If I have a 1% multi-billionaire coming up with innovations like chaTGPT- why should I create employment? Production is a measure of the output of a worker, machine, or an entire national economy in the creation of goods and services to produce wealth. I can produce larger possible value with just 1% of the population - that is efficiency. India can't be equal to SA in that regard. China has created machines that could see several developments at once. China is incomparable to most countries. |

Mkenya2019:Go argue with the world bank who placed TZ second in africa and 26th globally.. A NEW report by the World Bank (WB) has listed Tanzania as among countries in the globe with effective use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in delivering public services. Whereas globally Tanzania is placed at 26th position, the country emerged second in Africa and tops the list in the East African Region. The GovTech Maturity Index (GTMI) report, whose study was conducted last year in a total of 198 countries has placed Tanzania at 26th position in the globe, it has climbed from 90th position in 2021 when it was in group B to 26th place and moved to group A. As part of the GovTech Global Partnership research agenda, the World Bank has placed a focus on measuring GovTech maturity around the world. These efforts culminated in the first edition of the GTMI launched in 2021. The construction of the GTMI is primarily based on the World Bank’s GovTech Dataset, which is publicly available through the World Bank Data Catalog. The GTMI is a composite index that uses 48 key indicators (including eight external indicators) to measure critical aspects of four GovTech focus areas in 198 economies: supporting core government systems, enhancing service delivery, mainstreaming citizen engagement, and fostering GovTech enablers. In Africa, the study was done in 49 countries and Tanzania has emerged second after Mauritius for the use of technology in government services. It was established that the use of ICT in Tanzania has increased by 0.86 per cent in the last one year. In 2021, Tanzania was placed 5th after South Africa, Ghana, Kenya and Rwanda. In East Africa the study involved 13 countries, namely Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, Somalia, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Sudan, Eritrea, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Seychelles and Tanzania. The report further shows that in Tanzania the sectors of education, health, finance and agriculture were leading in provision of services through ICT and hence simplified access of services. It was noted that the success was a result of a whole-of-government approach, including the e-Government Authority (e-GA) provides vision and leadership regarding ICT policies, strategies, and operations. Also the report argues that the Government Communications Network (GovNet) is a secure shared network connecting 72 ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) and 77 local government authorities (LGAs). Furthermore, the government e-office system (GeOS) facilitates day- to-day government administrative processes involving movement of files and documents. The online service portal also brings services closer to the public by allowing citizens to apply for passports, permits, and licenses, and to make payments online. The government mobile platform (mGov) offers a one- stop shop center for government mobile services via push (G2P) and pull (P2G) SMS, USSD, and mobile application (Android and IOS). The study measures countries’ maturity in digital government transformation in four GovTech focus areas including core government systems and shared digital platforms, online service delivery, digital citizen engagement, and GovTech Centers. It is the most comprehensive measure of digital transformation in the public sector. This iteration captures many changes and initiatives that were launched in the last two years. The Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent recovery efforts have emphasized the value of digital for government and development outcomes. This is a key moment for GovTech. Governments are beginning to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic while facing bold challenges on fiscal space, peace, stability, and climate change.

Things will get messy before getting better. Russia is now applying the Divide and conquer theorem on low IQ humans on planet Earth "Africans". Africans are fools, that's why they are easy targets. Why can't Africa be independent and trust in their ideals without being coerced to take certain routes? I support the movement but what is Africa bringing to the table apart from being controlled ? |

I like the revolution. I know Whites have no good intentions with Africans. Whites are using Africans_ and exploiting them. But one thing for sure is, I will never support Russia or China over anything. We need to get out of playing the last. Russia is now recolonizing Africa and establishing dominance. Why is Africa falling for this?
