A total of 85 cadets, among them females, passed out from the nine months direct short service military course with three of them receiving Navy Gold Medal, Navy Silver Medal and Commandant’s awards respectively.

Said Jonathan: “Let me at this juncture reiterate the high premium this administration places on the welfare of the members of the Armed Forces. As commander-in-chief, I have repeatedly assured members of the Armed Forces of my desire to transform them into a modern military institution that the nation can be proud of. The transformation will make it comparable to other Armed Forces in advanced world in terms of welfare, equipment, training and professionalism.

“As the NDA provides equal opportunity for our youths from all over the 36 states and the federal capital territory to train irrespective of their cultural and religious background. Your radar can have a range of 5000km, because you have already placed our ships at 20km off the coast. On a clear day they might be visible with the naked eye. Point is, unless your F-7 will take off on the beach sand, we can warn our pilots to come closer to our ships once we pick you up at 120km. So Rooivalk will be much much closer to our ships by the time F7 arrives.
