Re: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by Egavlas(m): 11:01am On Nov 12, 2007
I knew it !

I said earlier that it would be a miracle for Offu to win and that the only other way was if the sponsors resolved to choose a better *model* as winner(apparently, they didnt feel that way).

I saw how the southern block and eastern block of Africa decided to vote Richard because he is closer home to them.

Secondly, the hatred for Nigeria, took away the remaining chances that Offu had. People were impersonating Nigerians and making trouble in the forums and being altogether obnoxious causing other people to decide to purnish Offu for the conduct of her fellow naijas. So myopic.

Like someone said, sex and immorality have been elevated to another level in our society. Like Kanya West said in the song, he can talk about anything from sex to drugs and violence but when he talks about Jesus, his records dont get played.

The sad fact is that even with all the cry about abuse of women and all that, Richards fans are mostly females.

They can come in and shout and screem why he had to win but secretly their eyes were glued to Richards body and all the things he was doing.

There was a little exercise that was carried out and Richards fans(from interviews) are teenage girls and girls in their twenties and early thirties. The few men that claimed to be Richards fans were the typical pimply kind and therefore there was no surprise.

When you watch the music videos that are on TV these days, what do you see? From Nigeria to New york to south Africa, you see females in little or no clothing dancing suggestively. Those girls go in to do those things with their eyes wide open. Sometimes its not even about the money. Its just what they want to do.

We can say those men that make those videos dont respect women but what about the girls and women who willingly participate? They are not forced to do that.

The same way Tartiana entered that sordid affair with eyes wide open and Offu invited trouble by sleeping in their bed always when there was no need for it. A slip up that put paid to all her good works(very sad).

I hate the fact that Richard won but there are many other things to look at in this issue

9ja why da sour grapes??
u guyz alway complain that the rest of africa hates 9ja, but dats not true at all the only think that africa dislikes his that 9ja always acts lyk they r all dat did u guyz get a chance to read sum of the sms's from 9ja on the sms strap insultin other countries?

its so pathetic to say africa voted richard becoz ofu was frm 9ja
truth be told i love ofu and i respect her but she brought absolutely nothing to the show she was dead boring.
nobody watched bba 4 ofu so how can you expect her to come from the back and collect the money for doing nothing.
bb is not Mr/Miss world peace.

i'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy becoz now i know the next big brother is going to be off the hook, no more cleaners.

uand when he introduced tati to linda and his brother i actually cried.wow he is quite the guy.i hope tati and him end up a couple.

Lets assume they get together Yea how sweet, but don’t forget what goes around comes around, if he can do this to RIcki, he’l do it to your “babygirl” Tati and if your babygirl Tart can do this to Gustav, she will do it to Richard.

@Masala girl, by *Off the hook*, I suppose you mean more sex, and maybe marathon orgies and some more unclothedness, maybe finally some homosexual or lesbian action right?

If this one was not *Off the hook* enough for you, I wonder why you need BB. Just go get some porn videos .
Re: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by Mayobabe19: 11:33am On Nov 12, 2007
Exactly, Richard's wife wasn't there. That might have been the end of their marriage. No mater what money can buy, it can't buy happiness neither can it buy a good home.
Re: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by Ndi(f): 11:42am On Nov 12, 2007
Good Morning All.

I think I am feeling a bit better than yester night sad
Yeah!! Richard parted with the dough!! It still hurt but we just have to accept it, Ofunneka may not have parted with Biggy’s dough but I forsee her making it big here in Nigeria (i.e endorsements deals here and there) at least for all her effort.

In my area (Festac Town) we had all thought Hgirl was going to win, so we organized ourselves, brought out a Big screen T.V with theatrical sound system, on the other side was a projector facing the big white wall, I was really surprised to find out that amidst all the condemnation, a lot of people still follow the reality show like mad, most of them left their houses to come and watch it right there in my close (outside), a neighbour of mine sponsored the distribution of guzzle, so you guzzle while you watch, it was all fun until the rather unfortunate announcement was made by K.B, the guzzle immediately tasted bad in my mouth, I nearly stood up from where I was seated  but at the same time felt as if I was glued to my chair because I couldn’t just believe Home Girl lost!!!! with a thin margin.

Much have not been heard of past winners of Big Brother, but we hear & see those that did not win the dough e.g Gaetano Juko Kagwa (Presenter Studio 53), Kabelo (K.B) Ngakane (Presenter Channel O.) (BBSA), Ebuka Obi-Uchendu (Presenter Friend or Foe) (BBN)

Let just sit back and watch how Richie Rich is going to handle his newly found fame, whether it is going to Make or Mar him. The website is still going to be on for the next 1week to give us details of how the BB Housemates are fairing.

Ofunneka and Tatiana are definitely going to be rewarded handsomely by their respective countries.

Indeed, may I state here that the next BBA would be filled with Porn (Hard and soft) Lesbianism and Homosexual all in the name of entertainment to finally clinch the prize money.

@Dalby
The last time we exchanged post i found out that it was really useless trying to hit a point with you. But your post today goes without pointing it's own flop or may i say incoherency.

Il est vraiment malheureux que vous avez dû dégénérer à ce niveau, mais plis multiples de que vous m'avez souhaité vous viendra parce que tout ce que j'ai fait était à l'air mon opinin sur un thème particulier.

It's really a pity that you degenerated to that level, but bend multiple of what you wish to me comes back to you because all i did was in the air of my opinion in this particular matter.

You would have just typed it this way:

Il est vraiment malheureux que vous ayez dégénéré ā ce point, mais je pries pour que vous receviez au multiple ce que vous m'aviez souhaité car, je ne l’ai fait que pour un but précis.

It’s a pity you degenerated to that level, but I pray and receive in a hundred fold what you wish to me, because I did it for a particular reason.

That goes without saying that you must really be like Richard. tongue

y u getting so angry, ok honestly tell me did u watch big brother becoz of ofu?
and if ofu was not nigerian will u still be supporting her?

i sed its going to be off the hook not becoz of sex,but becoz now finally the next hsemates will know they have to be entertaining and not act holier than the pope, and be soooooooooooo fake but instead to just be real.
ofu neva showed her true self to viewers, n da fake self that she showed was so dame boring.(lyk it or not but dats the bitter truth)

@Ndi wassup gf. Don’t worry jore a good name is better than gold, even if Richard worked away I’d rather be associated with Ofunneka than a Richard if I was a conglomerate or multinational seeking representation, he can be the face of the porn movies
Re: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by Masalagal: 12:04pm On Nov 12, 2007
@ uchetobi

You don't know wat ricki was like to rich you don't know wat gustav was to tati.
from wat i have read gustav is is  big time casino boss who is neva around and apparently  rich married ricki becoz he felt obligated and not becoz it was true love.
and nway love works in strange ways u neva know wen its going to happen, u neva know y. u can try n fight it but its just to powerful, even if richiana dn't last as a couple the fact is, it is better to have loved and lost  than to have neva loved at all.
Re: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by Egavlas(m): 12:09pm On Nov 12, 2007
@Masala girl,

My initial favourite was Max. I stopped watching after I saw the perversion and decided it wasnt good for my mind.

If Offu was not Nigerian and was left with the other two, I would have wanted her to win. Although I have my reservations about her on somethings in the house but definitely if I was to choose between her and Richiana, it would be her.

Now your *Off the hook* is an issue cause I don't know how much more off the hook you want the show to be.

If their is someone else who likes cleanliness and wants to tidy the house in the next episode(If there is going to be any in a long while), I don't see why it should be a problem for you.

I said ealier that Richards fans are mostly females, in their teens , twenties and early thirties. These are the people who actually vote and stay glued to the show.
Its a sad issue cause people who are there fighting against disrespect and abuse of women don't know that these females really want what they are getting. Its a shame.

From your id, it shows you are female.

Am not angry . I knew it would happen. Am a little disappointed cause I was hoping a miracle would happen or that the organisers would look at the bigger picture and consider the message a Richard victory would be passing to these misguided girls.

Yeah rite! More likely he was looking for money, that’s y he had to marry her, whether he luvs her or not, he made the decision to marry her, so he shouldn’t have humiliated her on International TV, but then this is my last post on the Richiana affair, I doubt its true luv cuz I doubt they know the meaning of luv but whateva! Good luck 2 dem, Back to work 4 me

Re: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by lawyerchap(m): 12:21pm On Nov 12, 2007
Richard is a sitting duck in Ricki's sights. (If she has any sense). This would be the perfect time to file for divorce and claim half of all those lovely dollars. I'll bet 50K dols minus Richard is a better prospect than Richard who"owns"100K. That's like a bird in the hand. Ricki should divorce him, take 50K and scram back to Canada. Even that amount is too small for the humiliation he inflicted on her on international tv.
Re: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by Ndi(f): 12:25pm On Nov 12, 2007
"Variety they say is the spice of life" Now I wonder why somebody would say he/she watched BBA2 because of Richard, If Biggy had showed you only Richard scene, how interesting would the reality show had been?   just curious here.

Ofunneka added to the entertainment because she didn't just clean & cook, she did task too and also involved in the nominations, but some people only want to see Porn little wonder they say "SEX SELLS".

In the eviction interview, when she was asked the strategy she came into the house with she replied "You know what, let me think, No Strategy! just went to the house to Cook, Clean, Dance & have fun" which she did to the fullest. I was really relieved to see her so excited. She could not even hold herself, she had to dive on Lerato! yes Lerato and the Soweto Girl was so surprised before she then hugged Maureen & others. it was quite a scene. (They even played "African Queen" for her) smiley

It was really good to see all the other housemates, Leppy Justice, Jeff & the others all dressed in cute black suit and dresses, it brought back a feeling of nostalgia. They all made the show worth watching, if not we would not have had anything to post here.

well sed i finally see were u coming from, initially max was also my fav.
regarding the cleanliness issue ders nothing wrong with wanting to keep da house tidy, but ofu did dat 24/7. did you see here highligths?
yes ofu comes across as a wonderful person but once again she did nothing 4 the show.
ppl must understand da by voting africa is not passing some sort of huge message across, give it  few weeks and bba2 is a thing of the pass. many ppl r under the misconception dat bb is some sort of mouth piece for africa, even if ofu won dat wasn't going to make no difference wat so eva to women abuse etc etc in africa.
bb is just a game nothing more nothing less.you want to preach values, women rights etc etc go to the UN,oprah or the oau.
Re: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by cecegorz(m): 12:41pm On Nov 12, 2007
Richard's winning this game is a big shame! With all the emotional and social wounds he inflicted on his legally married wife in front of a world-wide TV audience.
Are the sponsors of this show trying to sell INFIDELITY as a virtue to our youths?
May God save our youths!

One of the reporters quizzed Richard on whether the money was worth his marriage, to which he replied forwardly, "The whole situation is messed up, but yes, it was worth it."

From BBA Forum, the press interview with Richard, I said it its all about the money 4 him

@Masala girl, If BB is not a mouth piece for all those , why do they keep inviting and identifying with those organisations?
Why do they dedicate tasks and projects to Fight against AIDS , child abuse and the whole project of safe sex and responsible behaviour?

Its just double standards and hypocrecy . BB should be clear as to their objectives and let everyone know what they are about, SLEAZE

On being like RICHARD, he said it that I am like all of you. If you take a statistics of the views and opinions of some of the ladies posting on these sites, one begins to wonder who are these girls that date married men, have more than 5 boyfriends at the same time, steal their bestfriends boyfriend after the first visit and all that

The last time we exchanged post i found out that it was really useless trying to hit a point with you.

@Dalby
I apologized to you but you were not big enough to even acknowledge it. It's easy to talk about Richard being married but not being immune to human feelings (read: love); but as soon as i put you in that position, you turn am to fight. Let's not be hypocrites. If we believe that what Richard did was good, then it shouldn't be selectively good. If it was right, why were you so offended? If it's true that being married does not take away your capacity to love another, and that we should excuse a married person who falls in love with someone else because love is a human feeling incapable of being controlled by its victims, why, i ask again, were you so offended when i put you in that situation?

What's wrong is wrong. Let's just admit this. Richard was married and he humiliated his wife in front of 28 million viewers, assaulted drunk housemates and showed no regard or respect for womenfolk in general.
