If -for the sake of argument- we say the Igbo will go it alone, form their own republic and be ‘landlocked’! You can bet you last naira they would become the beautiful bride...courted by the other newly emergent republics that presently make up present day south-south! They would be courted for bilateral deals in shipping, railway transportation, tourism, hydrocarbon exploration/exploitation/export (remember the largest indigenous oil servicing coys are owned by Igbos...Oilserv, NESTOIL and Britannia-U), and commerce (Igbos can partner with our Cross-River cousins to breath life into TINAPA and Obudu ranch)! So you see, can’t speak for others but the case of Ndigbo is far from hopeless! 15 Likes 2 Shares |

haywire07: Dude, i’ve address your ill-informed position in my two previous posts on this thread! It’s funny that it’s the people you claim will end up with the short end of the stick that have the boldness and self-belief to want to go it alone...today, if possible! Meanwhile the cocky and hate-filled ones are the people clinging on to ‘one Nigeria’ like their life depends on it! 9 Likes 3 Shares |

fk001:don't mind that mrvitalis guy,I stopped arguing with him the day I realised he's a confusionist just imagine someone saying regions will b created based on religion,so there are no Muslims in America or there are no Christians in America too even the so called Muslim countries many of them have Christians but they are majorly Muslims the guy is just trying to b clever by half since he realised south south can stand alone without any attachment from south east so he's looking for every possible means to paint it as impossible 4 Likes 1 Share |

mrvitalis: How can you carve it out, Yobe Christains are in the far north while Borno Christians are in the far south. By the way Southern Borno and most of the Minority tribes are intertwined when it comes to religion. A family can have 50 50 Christians and Muslims. |

Ezewuzie01: There is no tribe known as SS. Igbos in that area won't like to be a minority in a new country. It's just human nature to move in groups and they will form a union with their brethren. The Igbos in the SS are not landlocked so that issue is DOA The North will never let the SW go because they have laid claim to the coastline of Lagos since 1966. Today they are even tightening their grip on the inland waterways. Dangote practically owns the Lagos Port terminal and the road to the Port, customs bosses have always been from the north etc. Even if they allow the Yorubas go free they won't leave Lagos for them. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

mrvitalis: You are not getting it, are you? Voting is not the issue here, I know my northern Christians brethren they would never leave their ancestral home no matter what. They are more dedicated culturally and religiously than any other Christians in this country, even at gun point they will not change their mind. I am not referring to S.Kaduna,Jos or any NC Christians here, I am talking about NE Christians 1 Like |

mrvitalis: No town in Southern Borno or Borno state entirely is conquered by Fulani, we still maintain our tradition and culture.. Check well our king titles are different from other northern states traditional rulers. We call our kings Mai etc. However, Not all Fulanis are violent as you lots insinuated, we have lots of peaceful fulanis only few are babaric |

slerry: Those head slammers as you called them have always been liberals who practised live and let live policy.Even if Lagos was doing better due to her port and educated personnel than all sections before the advent of Nigeria, the fed govt have spent a considerable money on Lagos and Yoruba will not just want to take away Lagos like that which would prompt the SS to want to leave too.Sadly, these two areas are the most blessed naturally even if the others are blessed too. Let me give you an insight into the thinking of Yorubas in recent times...they are ready and prepared to leave this union especially if there is no restructuring.Nigeria had the badluck of being ruled by some of the worst and very corrupt Northerners who had institutionalized corruption(Jonathan and Obasanjo just followed their footsteps...if you can't win them, join them..they were also very corrupt) Go and download and read...Political leadership and corruption in Nigeria since 1960 by Prof. Ogbeidi....and you will cry for Nigeria. In short Yorubas are very ready to leave Nigeria and 2023 is one of the deciders. Everybody wants progress and progress we would have. Most Northerners believe that educational and technological progress will expose them.Nigeria will not make good progress if a Northerner leads Nigeria, that is the sad truth You cannot give what you don't have. Nigeria is nearing disintegration if things continue like this. Sane people can see the handwriting on the wall. 5 Likes |

Genoa: You must be a jambite. Go get some knowledge and stop posting silly memes. SW made a deal 54 years ago with the north and the north never forgets. They plan generational not yearly and they owned Lagos waterways for years and now the new road to the port will be owned by them and you shall soon start paying a toll to use it 12 Likes |

Dedetwo:Yes being landlocked is a determinant. Stop basking in ignorance. Ask yourself how lagos came about being the business hub of Nigeria, if not Africa. Ask yourself how rice and car business flourished in benin republic. And have you ever stopped for a second to think about why we suffer electricity in Nigeria? No. You are one of those short thinking people who shout "it's due to corruption". You talked about Chad. I think that's an unnecessary point in this argument. But what else would I expect from Igbos who take delight in the downfall of their country. Let me tell you that Nigeria has recorded more success in the fight against insurgency than Chad. We had BH caliphates all around the NE up till 2015, but now, the insurgents are restricted to boundaries and are contemplating a cease fire. |

Do not disregard the Eastern region and called it landlocked and might not survive the splitting of Nigeria. Remember it has abundance of rainfall. Remember Austria is landlocked. Remember Switzerland is landlocked. Hungary is landlocked. Vatican is Landlocked. Rwanda is landlocked. Luxembourg is landlocked. Ethiopia is landlocked and yet these countries are the richest in their regions. The igbos are the richest tribe in Nigeria without dependence on Nigeria oil and how do they achieve it,one thing services. There are many countries in Africa that are not landlocked yet they are very poor E.g Benin republic Gambia,Togo and Mozambique. What we should be talking about is how innovative are the people to develop their land. Let them divide Nigeria first and see how far we the south east people will fare. 11 Likes 3 Shares |

delawal:You suffer from lack of historical facts. SE never went to war because they wanted to. They never went to war because they felt they could lead themselves. Infact, Nnamdi Azikiwe was one of the people who stuck to One Nigeria and was never in support of secession. Go through "There was a country by Chinua Achebe" It will butress how many times Zik discouraged Ojukwu. My point is, SE went to war because they were treated unfairly after the first coup not because they felt they have enough resources or at advantage! 4 Likes |
