Yobabad: Oga no one is stopping anyone from going. The greatest tragedy that can befall a man is to blame others for his misfortunes. Let met me ask you this rhetorical questions, 1: has any of your elected leaders ever even remotely demand for a secession? 2: have they been any binding political consensus among the Igbo leaders on the need to leave Nigeria? 3: has majority of the igbos seriously and vigorously made any demands on there leaders to initiate the move to secede? Now can you honestly answer yes to any of this questions? The most that has been done is by people like Nnamdi kanu and Asari dokubo, people who have no moral or legal rights to speak for the generality of the Igbo race. |

I don't know much but I think nation building is not fanciful stories like everything that we're painting here. People really think a part of Nigeria is the problem and so when you cut it out, the problem ceases to exist but I'm imagining what Mandela would think in his grave when he sees the lifestyle of most black South Africans. If we all have the attitudes we have as Nigerians, we shouldn't expect anything to change soon just because our country has split Nigeria is not the problem, it's the people there. More so, new unprecedented challenges will arise and since we've found it difficult to build Nigeria with discipline and dedication, majority will give up their newly formed country easily and go again looking for succor outside. Everything here is fantasy and thus it will remain. The reality might be scarier than you think. Or do you think we'll manufacture ideal leaders to govern those new states? 4 Likes 1 Share |

Many will be busy keep talking of Nigeria as a piece of map that exist on paper. What they don't think about is that it isn't just that. Nigeria is a business place for our cabals, former generals and leaders. PDP or APC, or whatever, they have shared it amongst themselves. The resources have been allotted and allocated to each of them. Emirs owning oil wells in the south south, IBO billionaires running business in kano and Kaduna. Don't be deceived, Nigeria is a business organisation. Our leaders will just create one problem like covid 19, boko haram and so on, and continue to use it to collect money from FG. To think that they care about you is just a waste of time. And stop thinking about the country, think about your life, your family and how to make them better. Nigeria only exists on map, most of our leaders hardly talk about Nigeria, they only care about their business and themselves. |

leokid866:This fake report you are talking about has 2 Yoruba states in the 1st and 2nd position respectively, so what's the point exactly. What are the criterions used, any stats apart from Nigeria bureau of stat or Hdi is not reliable. Even 2 SW states occupied the first two spots. It was even conducted by one useless American University. |

Efewestern: You and darfay maybe right. But I personally think, there might be sort of internal division in Niger delta. Cos, the Ijaws are aggressive in nature, or should I say they have this sense of entitlement. If Niger delta were to be given independence. The situation will just be like our current Nigeria. Other minorities might unite against Ijaws or People like Edo/Benin forming coalition with Ijaws against others. You grab. Just like Hausa Yoruba Hausa Igbos Currently |

nku5: You talk like an illiterate, reasons why you look all discussion from your narrow myopic view. The Hausa-Fulani north will not be able to even to persuade the tribes in what is presently called Northcentral to stay with them not to talk having access to Lagos port. The moment the Nigeria states dies, the moment other ethnic nationalities other than the Yoruba stop having access to Lagos. They will all come as foreigners at the whims of the host the Yorubas. Fools everywhere, paying tolls to access a road in your own country. This internalized fair for the Hausa-Fulani north are the reasons for the hate and love relationship between the Igbos and the north. When Nigeria stop being a country, western foreign policies will block out any destructive element from the north. Take this to the bank 3 Likes |

egalitarianism: Black man and natural resources. So, all the developed countries depended on natural resources to become great? The greatest resources you have on earth are human resources and Gas for power generation which igbo land is not lacking. This country should have been better than its present condition if development/greatness is dependent on natural resources. Peace 2 Likes 2 Shares |

south east landlocked, some people are naturally stupid, read up international (waterways)treaty, igbo's has acess to river Niger and azumili in abia state has access to sea after dredging, our igbo tribes in south south(not all south south because we don't really need them) will definitely join us in biafra and they also has access to sea,we have abundant gas which is the future,we survive any situation, Even the yorubas dieing for one Nigeria are shouting oduduwa republic, just two weeks lockdown they started skull mining and stealing from eacthother, imagine when everybody leaves Lagos and the north/dangote laying claim to their land because of the deal they signed. ,I just pity yorubas because if they form oduduwa they will be up for a rude awakening,Yoruba's are already divided with the Muslims fighting the Christians 2 Likes 1 Share |

I've followed the discussion and it has been interesting. However, I would chip in a point most people are missing. Human resource is what a nation needs to thrive. With that key factor they can surmount most of the challenges they may face. |
