yusufu16:I know an average Edo person to be rugged. I for talk now, how can they allow Godfatherism of the cowardly Yorubas to stand in Edo state, even at a time I was of the opinion that maybe because they say Edos have similar ancestry with Yoruba so godfatherism might stand, but this move by Obaseki has reignited the Edo spirit that i know. Kudos to the MAN for not being a half man like Ambo**. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I still don't know why the stakeholders of Edo politics will watch till it gets to this stage... Well, anyone that understands obaseki very well will know he's trying to remove Edo state from Godfatherism...But because of the selfish interest of the APC National Chairman, he won't allow such that's what we have just witnessed in just 2weeks... Gov Obaseki should seek the people's vote and sell good mandate to them...With large Votes there's no miracle anyone can do.... Seek support from both the House of Reps members and Senators of the State that's all... Good luck to Edo ppl... |

Once again a proof that the black man is incapable of organising himself around values and incapable of building things, of establishing legacies, of charting the future and presenting his offspring with the tools of advancement. Everything a black man does ends with him. If he finds resistance in his ways he cannot correct them, repair them and transfer his ideals to them. They must either be discarded or destroyed. What is the principle by which Governor Obaseki operates with that has made him depart to the PDP. Nothing but personal, selfish and zero sum ambition. He cannot identify that there is a problem in the APC and will deploy his principles to ensure those ills are corrected even if it means losing his privileges. That sort of 'sacrifice' is alien to the black man. He cannot fight for principles, he cannot fight for institutions, he cannot build them in the imagery of what is best. He cannot leave a legacy to the up and coming politicians. Folks, these are no leaders in the true sense, just political jobbers, turncoats and mercenaries whom string along a history of backwardness, disorganisation, corruption and poverty for any nation that has them in numbers for a considerable period in its history. Even Ambode who remained in the APC has done nothing to fight fhe scourge of godfatherism aka feudalism since he left office which will have done a whole lot for the liberty of the citizenry to chart their own future. I'm afraid this is the last we will also hear of Governor Obaseki, his political epitaph reading.... 'He came, fought and fled, leaving a political space worse for wear'.... the sad tale of the black man. 5 Likes |

fergie001: OBASEKI: DID YOU GIVE JUSTICE? It is often said those who live in glass house shouldn't not throw stones. I was alarmed to hear Governor Obaseki saying he won't get justice after the Committee of the APC concluded his screening on Wednesday 10th June,2020. I asked the question who did he give Justice to as Governor of Edo State in almost four years of his rule. Did he serve Chief Osamede Adun (aka Bob Izua) justice when he took over his property and demolish it overnight without proper procedure of government acquisition of private property for overriding public purpose? Up till now he did not pay him compensation. As a result of that incident Chief Adun lost his wife. Was Obaseki fair to him? Did he serve Justice to Comrade Tony Kabaka when he demolished his hotel in Ugbor thereby rendering the poor upcoming young man economically incapacitated and making tens of people lose their jobs when the matter was pending in court? Was Governor Obaseki fair to Tony Kabaka Adun and the workers in that hotel? Was Governor Obaseki fair and just to fourteen elected members of the Edo State House of Assembly who he denied inauguration and swearing in June, 2019. For the first a Governor denied the Legislature from functioning properly in accordance with the Constitution. Is he fair and just to Edo people? Was he fair to Edo people when he denied them patronages and encouraged capital flight by using non Edo citizens in carrying out mouth watering contracts to the detriment of the Edo State economy? Has Governor Obaseki served Justice to APC members and leaders in Edo State when he embarked on using thugs and security forces to attack them for holding opposing views? Has Governor Obaseki been fair to Edo people when he sponsored Adaze Emwanta and others to Institute litigations against Edo indigenes who gets appointed to federal government agencies in order to stop them from getting into the position they are appointed? Has Governor Obaseki served Justice to APC when he could not mobilize the party to receive new members but instead preventing people from joining the party? Has Governor Obaseki been fair to Comrade Adams Oshiomhole when he mobilized Edo resources to remove him as National Chairman and mobilize thugs to stop him from entering Edo State? Has Governor Obaseki been fair Edo people to whom he makes promises but failed to fulfil such promises? Has Governor Obaseki served Justice to those who supported him and who he later sent to prison when he became Governor? Has Governor Obaseki served Justice to Edo people whom he refused to provide good health care services and instead embarked on the blackmail of his predecessor over the five star hospital that was built which he locked down for years and has recently privatised? Has Governor Obaseki served Justice to Edo people when he lied that he worked with Governor Adams Oshiomhole for free when in fact he earned Commission on the several loans he sourced for Edo state government? Has Governor Obaseki been fair and just to the APC when he has sponsored many suits/litigation against the party without recourse to the Constitution of the party in exhausting internal mechanisms for conflict resolution? Ha Governor Obaseki served Justice to party leaders whom he listed to retire from politics in Edo State? Has Governor Obaseki served Justice to Edo market women whom he has decided to cluster in primary school premises in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic? Has Governor Obaseki served Justice to APC when he allowed PDP to hold ward congresses in the 192 wards in Edo State and made a regulation to stop APC from holding direct primaries in the 192 wards in the same Edo State? HAS GOVERNOR GODWIN OBASEKI SERVED JUSTICE TO ANYONE? In Leadership, every action taken has consequences- positive or negative. As Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki has been most unfair and unjust to members of his party- APC and the generality of Edo people. When he cries for justice, I wonder if he expects his unjust actions against his party will serve him Justice. WEEP NOT MY GOVERNOR: THE MEASURE YOU GIVE IS THE MEASURE YOU WILL RECEIVE. Justice is for All , Not Only For the privilege!!!! Hon Samson Osagie, MHR Former Minority Whip, House of Representatives. 7 Likes 4 Shares |

DStatAnalyst:We cann't really assess Wike's strength, Na only noise and gutter talk. In 2015, it was federal might of Jonathan, the returning officer refused to pronounce the doctored collated results. In 2019, Tonye and Abe's wahala prevented APC of Amaechi to field a candidate. Mr man... Akinwunmi Ambode is not an half man...he contested the primaries and lost, does that make him half...if you want to talk please bring facts...this same Ambode have never been a politician, he was a civil servant and served his tenure and left so what...mind you he's still collecting pensions from the Lagos civil service commission as a pensioner... DStatAnalyst:Obaseki is gone, to start with the election isn't holding during general elections, federal might is with APC, security as you said is with APC too. Obaseki should quietly return to running Afrinvest, that's if EFCC doesn't ruin and chases him out of Nigeria. He should have known he was fighting a wrong battle, he can not unseat Oshiomole that was instrumental in making the second term of Buhari a walk over. The governors who led him astray have also abandoned him. Maybe Obaseki thought Oshiomole is Uche Secondus. 3 Likes |

ODJ124: Obaseki had blocked the impeachment route when he refused to swear in Oshiomole boys.. All that is left now is for him to look for how to sway the security apparatus in the state.. The President just like in Akinlade vs Dapo Abiola in Ogun state has decided to sit it out.. Dont be surprised, when he gets the PDP ticket, he will come and present it to Buhari and Buhari will raise his hand as usual. And Tinubu will look for someone to throw the flag to again. If he wins, he will come back to the APC, no qualms. |

fergie001: This picture says so much . It was one of those days he said he went for re conciliation. He came brash and insolent. He grazed the wound. He left and resumed the insults. The people at the back couldnt hide their emotions. Months later he told him he couldn't enter Edo without his permission . And when he did, he sent thugs and trucks after him. Look at that picture again . He was full of himself. He grew fuller Today he is burst balloon. Before he became a chicken without feathers he had tried to sack him. He tried to throw him out of the party. He said he had suspended him and replaced him with one Giadom. They cheered him. They wanted him humiliated. The more they cheered him the more he spit fire. He said he would lynch those of us who dared criticize his agbero ways on social media if we set our foot in Benin. That is why I am committed . His disqualification is final. The president is more interested in receiving foreign investors than local cry babies. Let him stop dilly dallying, the courts won't save him. He has thrown one funny Gazette. He will throw more booby traps. I hope he wont use his tongue and thuggery and invite a state of emergency. That will see him out before September. Ugo Egbujo 2 Likes |

Go and check the results of the 2016 Governorship election that ushered in Obaseki and the entire 2019 election results for the Presidency, Senate, and House of Reps in Edo State.
