APC did not need a popular candidate to win election. The Machinery,structure and might can bring any loyal party man into power.

He is wasting his time. The last election, edo people claimed Ize Iyamu won but was cheated by APC...if this was true, it means obaseki watched and enjoyed the rigging in his favour. However, the people of Edo voted for Ize Iyamu because the loved him. Let's assume there was no rigging and the election was fair, we would realise that numbers between both parties were very close.

Now imagine Ize iyamu getting that large numbers of supporters naturally plus the rigging that APC will do. Obaseki should know he is heading for failure. I won't be surprised if he has bought citizenship of one of these foreign countries where he will abscond to after losing the election. He cannot lose the election and remain in Nigeria. Same way APC assisted Obaseki in winning against Iyamu is the same way they'll assist Iyamu to win Obaseki. Obaseki know the levels..him suppose just accept and move on to contesting for senatorial position as retirement plan like all of them always foolishly do.

you seem not to understand, every party has the chance to submit from three options the mode of primaries they wish to use, direct, indirect and consensus candidate, APC has already submitted direct primary and INEC has already adopted that, it can't be changed again.

ortom was already a minister in pdp,a member of the nwc in PDP before he moved to APC and then back to PDP, both elections were held during general election, this is an off year election in EDO, Rivers and benue are quite different from edo case, the only huddle APC has is if they can conduct primaries in EDO when obaseki has already gazetted an order against gathering of more than 20 people, if APC can scale through that, I believe they have the better machinery to win a gubernatorial election in EDO than PDP.
