She claimed to be married in 2007 with name number two in the US records.

And now a new marriage in 2008 with name number three.

Is either she comes up with a divorce letter with paper publications to buttress her claim for this new marriage in 2008, or she gets seriously banned from entering the US....

This is a what went wrong.

in 2007, we already had a child but not legally married. She applied with her passport, Abigail Ekpo, in the form she filled, spouse name was shawn Ekpo. In 2008 we got married and her name changed to Abigail frontpagelawyer.
2013 i applied and filled spouse name + maiden name "abigail ekpo frontpagelawyer"

question is.

Hope the false application in 2007 has nothing to do with my recent denial?

we planned to apply with the kids by december, what do we do? The US record will surely show her name as abigail ekpo and my name as shawn ekpo, married 2007, while my original name is shawn frontpagelawyer we got married 2008. This could even lead to ban. Maybe I should apply alone for a conference related to my field pending on when we arrive at a solution.

Your recent denial has nothing to do with her previous application in 2007. The CO does not know your wife until she appears herself for thumbprint. And the dots start to connect from there.

You have a lot to explain if your wife shows her face at

lilbro: hello tzetze fly thanks for everything, i have been following this forum for quite some time now and i need advice on getting a u.s visit visa. i intend travelling with my wife and 2 kids say august ending 3 of us have a 5yrs uk visa and my 2nd child has a 2yrs u.k visa we r truly frequent travelers to the u.k and just recently came bck from a trip. i have a phobia for the u.s embassy as i have always bin refused visa for like 4 times from 2005 to 2008. i just got refused a Canadian TRV and i have summoned courage to re apply for a visit visa again to the u.s since 2008. i work in a reputable oil & gas firm and my pay is good, money truly is not a problem. before now i have used invitations from friends now i want to make an hotel booking in 2 tourist areas california and new york. i just need ur candid advice on what my chances would be after 5yrs of application and what to do since i dont want to leave any stone unturned

There is clearly something you're not doing right in your applications. But i tend to wonder how you come about obtaining the UK visas for yourself and family, and fail to get the Canadian TRV.

Actually there's nothing to fear in the US visa application process. The CO only wants to know that you're a genuine traveller willign to depart the US before the expiration of your stay. Once you can prove this, then they have no reason to refuse your application.

Between 2005 and 2008 when you applied, there must have been a process you followed and documents you presented. It is necessary we know what you encountered during that period, for us to advise you accordingly....

seriously i was amazed @ the TRV refusal from canada, their reasons dont even add up to me they quote; i have not satisfied them that i would leave canada based on:
1. my travel history ( bearing in mind we all have 5yrs multiple visas to the u.k and just recently came back from easter trip)
2. Purpose of visit( which was meant to visit a family friend for their first childs birthday).
3.they r not satisfied that i answered truthfully all questions put to me.
well it just showed to me probably my application was not even looked at or verified after wasting close to 28 working days.

As for the usa visa refusal b/w 2005 - 2008 my document where never even asked for or sighted, i got invitations from family friends too. 2005-virgin passport/ not married but from 2007-2008 disvirgined pport/married with one child with uk visas and applied alone.i hope i have put u clearly in the picture. Now my questions are:
1.can i apply for the usa visa with my family going via hotel booking or invitation?
2.since i was refused the TRV from canada can i still apply for the usa bearing in mind my travel dates for august ending, will i be able to get an interview appointment date for july thru august b4 i travel since i will state in the ds-160 form my travel dates and what will be the implication if i dont get an appointment datebw that period.

1. Apply with your family as your circumstance has improved from the last time you visited the embassy. More travel experience a couple of times via family vacation to the UK.

Book a hotel accomodation for the whole family. However if your family friend can accomodate your family comfortably in his residence, ask him for invitation letter and a copy of his utility bills and tenancy agreement.

Take note that if you use the invitation letter from your friend in the US, your purpose for going to the States now changes to ''visiting and not tourism''.

2. You can get an interview appointment date for July if you submit your form within June. It is summer season hence the rush for visa.

ok thanks alot. i ll go with the hotel thing that am more comfortable with. i just pray i get an appointment date between july and august ending which is my proposed dates of travel because of the rush, i dont want an eye lid raised by the CO asking why i m coming for my interview after my proposed travel date, or has the system changed, is making an appointment for interview not the final step? or maybe i should apply now, go for interview as against december for my travel date what do u think? i m just trying to tread safely!

(a) When can I reapply for US visa? Was thinking of applying soonest so I can get an interview date for October.

(b) Should I apply with my 6yrs old son without my wife and 1yr old son, my wife record at the US consulate doesn't look good for now?

(c) should I apply for a conference visa or the same tourist visa with my son? I'm thinking of attending a conference with my partner who is listed as a director in my company's CAC., by so doing, my family can be left out since the CO asked in my last interview why my family won't be traveling with me.

Maaaaan, I write, not to as questions about traveling the the US but to say a bug thumbs up for your dedication and commitment to this forum. In all honesty, you have really done everything humanly possible to hell and educate people on this forum. The things that baffle me is your commitment to this thread, respect for the people on this thread, way and manner you do your best not to misinform people here. Even when you make a point and someone tries to counter it even in a disrespectful way, you still have that calm personality in you and you never disrespect them - unlike some people in travel section. I intend to apply for a US tourist visa in July. How long does it take from the point of filling out the form online to getting an interview date? I will need my passport around same for a work related trip to another location. I want to avoid not having my passport with me by my interview date. If it so happens that my passport has not been returned to me by my US Visa interview date, can i reschedule my interview.
