Is It Wrong To Raise An African Child The British Or American Way? by Nobody: 2:07pm On Mar 01, 2021 |
Truth is that I am African but I dispise the standards in Africa. Africa seems too primitive, naive and backwards in terms of everything... and I've usually thought of raising my kids the British or American style. of what importance is an African parents culture and tradition in raising their children the African way rather that the British or American way? Would it be sensible if a child is a genius in English language than mother tongue. Are there disadvantages. 9 Likes |

Are you ready to see homosexuality and other vices in the life of your child? If your answer is yes. Then go for western education. 73 Likes 4 Shares |

African culture is deeply laced with moral values, not that immorality doesn't exist, but the upbringing of an African child always harps on that at the very least. being primitive is just lack of exposure and the needs of not wanting to. Even the British or American have morals with their upbringing, but the liberality could be a bane if not properly handled especially if you live within an African country. 33 Likes 1 Share |

BadRadio:The only thing I see here is the exposure. As for practical learning, you can do that anywhere. Even in China 12 Likes |

There’s nothing wrong with the way I was brought up. There’s nothing primitive in teaching your kids values and moral. Millions of us were brought up in “African way” and millions excel both here and overseas. Even the akata and British love our culture. We are the ones that see ourselves as primitive. I would surely bring my child up the African way, just that some things have to be dropped. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the way our folks trained us. Nothing. 78 Likes 3 Shares |

It is wrong to train your children in the American or British way, you aren't British or American. Na only Africans want the British and American way thus making them more confused when the British or American do not accept them. Asians are always grounded, no matter where they are the parents make sure they act accordingly to their culture 47 Likes 2 Shares |

Yes. Relocate to America or Britain, then raise them the way you want. Don't add more problems to our already problems filled society 3 Likes |

White people are eons of years ahead of us, they are technologically advanced, medically advanced, development in first world countries gave way to human right laws, women right laws, laws that protect children and make it possible for them to have a good education in love, laws that protect the old, order, development... And you are still asking if you should raise your kids like them 21 Likes 2 Shares

The best way to train your children is by teaching to distinguish right from wrong, how to be resourceful, respectful and hardworking And try to leave enough money and inheritance for them so that they won't be build8ng from the scratch 12 Likes 2 Shares |

Yet....nigeria is the most corrupt country in the world. What matters is that one teaches his or her children morals and manners. It does not matter whether in UK or Africa. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Is the African child British or American? What is wrong with raising an African child in an African way? There are thousands of cultures in Africa. Which one does the child belong to? Make sure you let the child grow in his or her culture. Tomorrow the child will appreciate you for that. |
