kettykin:

why do some people keep blaming gej , if you were smatter than him why not opt out of the country rather than stay on and be complaining , must you belong to nigeria. You dont want to opt out and you are bent on stopping those that want to opt out.

Pakistani muslims opted out of a union with infidels in india, but not so for nigerian muslims  they will fight ,kill, bomb and be killed to remain in the same country with christian infidels.

This is against your religion, staying in the same country with infidels. Everybody including gej will support you if you want to opt out.

You are missing the point. People are not necessarily blaming GEJ because he is a christian, no it is because he is totaly inept, bereft of new ideas and utterly incapable of mustering a solution to the problem let alone an inspiring and confidence-restoring speech to the nation. I am a christian, and even though I suspect the attack might be religiously motivated, it does not excuse the lack of will demonstrated by our so called president.
When Yar adua was battling with the militants, everybody mocked his amnesty idea at first, but ALAS it was an idea!!! What more, the idea worked well. Mr Blackbrain Jonathan on the other hand, just gives us moronic statements from his hiding place once in a while, and has so far failed to come up with one solution to the main issues at hand, unless you consider single term as a solution. I am ashamed to admit this is the kind of guy leading our country at the moment.

Is Boko Haram an agent of the IOC, the UN attack smells like the work of the IOCs,

Somebody should track the existence of Boko Haram and talks relating to the PIB, there seems to a correlation between the intensity of attacks by Boko Haram and that of the PIB passage.

Now that this unfortunate incident has happened, I will go ahead and hazard a guess as to what next will follow. Our beloved federal government will:
[li]Set up an adhoc committee to investigate the remote and immediate causes of this explosion. Assign official cars and portfolios to the members of the committee (lobbying has already started at Asorock)

Fly in bomb experts from overseas.

Fly out the "VIP victims" to overseas hospitals while the "non-VIP victims" are deposited in some decrepit local hospital where they will be on nothing but IV and paracetamol.

Propose amnesty for, dialogue with, and overseas rehabilitation for whatever group that claims responsibility for the bombing.[/li]
[li][/li]
Then, our "cheap-article" life goes on like nothing happened.

Is like GEJ didnt reckon with how popular Gadafi is in Northern Nigeria for him to have made that careless statement of asking Gadafi to go and recognising the rebels. You need to googl pictures of his visit to Kano to know what I am talking about.

The bombers felt that UN under the cover of NATO are killing fellow Muslims in Libya with the support of our loud mouthed president.

PRESIDENT JONATHAN SAYS ATTACK ON UN BUILDING IS AN ASSAULT ON GLOBAL PEACE AND SECURITY
by Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 2:38am

STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria utterly condemn the barbaric, senseless and cowardly attack on the United Nation’s Building in Abuja this morning.

The President believes that the attack is a most despicable assault on the United Nations’ objectives of global peace and security, and the sanctity of human life to which Nigeria wholly subscribes.

He extends his sincere condolences to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-Moon and all members of the United Nations family who have lost loved ones in the heinous attack.

President Jonathan reaffirms the Federal Government’s total commitment to vigorously combat the incursion of all forms of terrorism into Nigeria, and wishes to reassure all Nigerians and the international community that his Administration will spare no effort to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The President has also directed all relevant government agencies to assist in the search and rescue effort at the UN Building, and ordered heightened security across the Federal Capital Territory.

He urges all Nigerians to cooperate fully with the government in its efforts to expose the desperate elements who promote violence, terrorism and division in the country.

While noting that by today’s attack, we are once again reminded of the international character of terrorism and its indiscriminate targeting of innocent civilians, President Jonathan affirms Nigeria’s determination to continue to play its part in the global effort to eradicate the scourge of terrorism in all its ramifications.

He urges all Nigerians and foreigners resident in the country to go about their normal affairs with the full assurance that the Federal Government and its law enforcement agencies will continue working diligently to ensure the full protection of lives and property in the country.

Reuben Abati, Ph.D

Special Adviser to the President

Re: Bomb Blast At United Nation Abuja -- BREAKING NEWS by tpia5: 4:32pm On Aug 26, 2011
its very very bad that most of the terrorists openly flaunt their agenda on websites such as nairaland and other nigerian ones.

its even worse that nigeria has all kinds of IT specialists who specialize in tracking people's ip addresses and digging up worthless info for gossipping purposes but neither the govt or anyone else considers it important to track the criminals who make openly terrorist and treasonable statements without fear.

really a shame.

human trafficking, baby farms, bombings, saboteurs, arsonists, terrorists- all are laughing and playing in broad daylight and with the full collaboration of all and sundry.

maclatunji:
My dear you are being sentimental, do you know how many attacks are planned against the United States? They do not happen because the government does its duty. Rhetoric like yours encourages our government to be lazy and abdicate their responsibility. Read what Human Right Watch says:

The country’s governing elite continues to squander and siphon off the nation’s tremendous oil wealth, neglecting basic health and education services for the vast majority of ordinary citizens. Widespread graft has fueled political violence, police abuses , and other human rights violations.

Deal with the issues highlighted therein and there will be no misguided goons to do something as evil as this and even if there are. An alert security network will deal with them.

Stop creating excuses for poor governance that breads corruption and insecurity. If you insist on name-calling, then we are not learning from history. History repeats itself if you do not learn from it!

You must be a fool.
The US is the most attacked country on Earth. The thing you don't see is Americans abusing their President like fools when it happens. What id!ot would make fun of US deaths in Afghanistan or Iraq and hope to have a peaceful life? Yet, you worms here in Nigeria feel that the man is not from your ethnic group or religion, so you don't give a toss.

How can any normal person rejoice at the sight of spilt blood, just because they lost elections? You people are sick.
Re: Bomb Blast At United Nation Abuja -- BREAKING NEWS by Beaf: 4:45pm On Aug 26, 2011
People, if you feel that spilt blood is some sort of political football because you lost elections, you can leave the country to form your sharia republic, Oduduwa or whatever.

The very people screaming against GEJ are same blood suckers that sponsor boko haram. How many bomb blasts and terror attacks occurred in Britain? Did anyone ever point fingers at the Prime Minister? In Nigeria, its different, because we have blood suckers that have been kicked out of power and they wish to make the place ungovernable in return by taking innocent lives. Why not form your own countries and leave us in peace? The time is coming when war will be levied on you, patience is a finite thing.

Real Nigerians will gather together and strengthen each other against the enemy.

Really? Maybe its time for the Gaddafi lovers in the North to seek their own country peacefully, before it is forced on them with blood and might.

Confusion is so evident within this forum and I'm sure in the whole country as we speak.

Oil is not the end goal of this as we may all think far from, these are issues far from what we may think or can conceptualize.

We need serious prayers and need to beg God to come to our rescue at this point, this isn't Adeboyes god or oyakilme's god but God as the church has been captured a long time ago.

One name I will implore you all to look up on is ROTHSCHILDS, NEW WORLD ORDER.

May God help us all.
Re: Bomb Blast At United Nation Abuja -- BREAKING NEWS by POTUT(m): 4:55pm On Aug 26, 2011
Why does Nigeria continually produce leadership that fails to see the connection between good governance, social security and development?

Why does Nigeria continually produce leadership that take a laissez-faire approach to serious national issues?

Why does Nigeria continually produce empty heads in high offices who cannot galvanize a nation. No Nigerian leader has ever galvanized this nation even through the commonest but yet powerful tools - a speech?

GEJ'S first condolence goes to the UN, not to Nigerians and our hurt social pride.
