Kibbu.tz Nirim announced that Nadav Popplewell, 51, who was held hostage by Hamas in Gaza was murdered in captivity. Nadav’s mother Hannah, was held hostage for 50 days and released in November. His brother Roy was murdered by Hamas in October 7th. Possibly this announcement is related to the reports from Rafah about 4 dead bodies of hostages that were found by IDF special forces.

IDF spokesman just confirmed that below 4 hostages are dead: Haim Perry (80) Yoram Metzger (80) Amiram Cooper (85) Nadav Poplewell (51) HOWEVER, according to him they are still held in the hands of Hamas. The decision to determine their death was based on intelligence information and was approved by an expert committee of the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Ministry of Religion and the Chief Rabbi of Israel. The circumstances of their deaths in Hamas captivity are still under investigation by all the professionals. |

A few weeks ago when the Biden administration wanted to stop the war by injecting despair and frustration into the ISRAELI society - they claimed that most of Hamas’s capabilities as well as terrorists are still unharmed. Since it didn’t work and the ISRAELIS demanded a maneuver into rafah and we began with it - suddenly the same department of state says this today: Hamas's power has been "dramatically reduced" compared to what it was on October 7. Roads to Metulla, Qiryat Kleb and other settlements are blocked by the Israeli police over the fires. Israeli journalists are begging the army to use these fires as a legitimate excuse to act more harshly against Lebanon.

The WaPo noted Zelensky has failed to woo China with the delegation refusing to meet with the Ukrainian leader, but he has also failed to convince Asian nations. Part of the problem for Ukraine and its Western backers is the prevalence of long-standing Asian cynicism when it comes to such preaching about the international order and universal values. Singapore's Raja Mohan noted: "that the history of the past century in the region is replete with reminders of Western powers acting in their naked self-interest, often through coercion and sometimes in the support of brutal dictatorships. Realists in the chancelleries [of parts of Asia] never believed the [Western] rhetoric because they always knew there was a difference between what the West said and what it did." “It is viewed in much of the Global South as a European and American and Russian war.
