That's what they call"ethnocentrism". The Yorubas are now seeing themselves as the most important, most superior and most favorable ethnicity in Nigeria π³π¬ Because their son is in power, and that the falling president means well for all Nigerians. Probably, that might be the reason why all of them are on mute mode, even the once that have spoken are busy praising the president for doing a magnificent job with the economy. As'n, the economy is booming, the GDP has grew by 2.98%, the policies of the current administration are top-notch, nobody is complaining and everybody is happy. But, I don't blame them shaa π€·πΎββοΈ because we're heavily tribal driven society and baptized in tribal animosities. So, who to blame? 5 Likes 1 Share |

I REMEMBER THAT YEAR IN RIVERS UNDER AMAECHI 'S GOVERNMENT , THE DEALINGS OF WOLE AND HIS DAUGHTER. THIS GENERATION SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT THOSE VULTURES HAVE NOTHING TO OFFER ANYONE BUT THEMSELVES. THEIR BEST CARD IS THE TRIBAL CARD COS THEY KNOW A BULK OF NIGERIANS HAVE HATE IN THEIR HEARTS. YOU CAN ONLY CONTROL NIGERIANS WITH THE TRIBAL CARD. 1 Like |

Franklyspeakin: That is why the corruption persists. The day it dawned on me that Nigerians do not dislike corruption . In fact they love the lifestyle of the powerful people it and endure the pains corruption brings believing that one day it will be their own turn too...that was the the day I mentally left this country. My body followed about 3 years after. 2 Likes |

It is only a shameless youth in his forties that will expect the voice of a man in his eighties to spur him to action concerning events in his country. Don't worry. Be expecting Adeboye while your children are asking you questions. |

flokii: Let's even agree that GEJ did badly, if after 9 years of APC nothing seems to be getting better don't you think you should put the blame to the right people? You are either evil minded and a bigot or you are not just cut for this kind of conversation. It is beyond your comprehension. If you sack a Manager in your company for non-performance and employed another that claimed to have the magic wand to turn things around, but 9 years after things have gone worse 800%, what should you do? answer that question honestly and come back to this discussion. 3 Likes |

Nonny95: THANK YOU Eedris for pointing out the HYPOCRITES masquerading as "Men of God" in Nigeria! Some of the so-callled "Men of God have even fled from Nigeria using the tithe extracted from their hapless members who have now been abandoned as helpless sheep without shepherds in Nigeria. It will be wonderful on Judgement day when most will be asked why they took envelopes and decided to keep mute when their flock was dying from hardship and starvation while they lived big. 1 Like |

There are clerics inclined to APC like pa Adeboye. There are also others like pa Oyedepo who are PDP men, and several other pastors who are inclined to other parties. So, what is the noise about if not that agenda must agend? The people pushing the narrative of Adeboye are making it look like he is the only one guilty of what they're accussing him of, when in actual fact it is a Nigerian thing. Wail from now till forever it won't change the fact that majority of Nigerians are hypocrites. Our criticisms and complaints are usually not sincere or borne out of a true desire for change, but often because we or our people with close ties to the chopping table have been schemed out temporarily or permanently. I have lost count of people like Idris who were very vocal about misgoverment and corruption, but when called to the chopping table didn't hesitate (like the current minister of communication), nor did they initiate steps to change the status quo. Nigeria to many of its citizens is not a country; it is a means to an end. |
