But in Nigeria being a farmer is a death sentence
Re: Niger Republic Is Transforming Its Desert To Farmlands by Pray4meJC(m): 2:58pm On Jun 20
Whereas lazy Nigeria community leaders in the south are just selling away arable farmland and their community to so called Estate Agents or investors thereby pushing more farmers to go farm in long distance forest far away from any city center. What this dangerous trend means is that food prices will soar due to high cost of transporting farm produce, temporary scarcity of food owing to the sudden destruction of those small farm land by estate agents. Youths are not farming but are quick to destroy farms in the name of REAL ESTATES. This is the new trend to hide bypass money laundering traps. Nobody questions your source of wealth in Nigeria when you hide your filthy money in real estate. EFFC will look helpless.

I can't believe the small plantain farm I harvested from 100/100 last year that I processed into plantain flour is the "elubo" I dey enjoy today

Can you feed your entire family all year round with the farm produce from your backyard?

You aren't different from Doyin Okupe who said we should start planting tomatoes in sacks and stop complain about tomatoe scarcity.

Make your conclusion.

Zxcvbnmghtr:

Don't mind them. My parents hardly go to the market to buy vegetables, they also have a mini poultry for egg laying birds, their goats are camped and don't roam about. My dad especially loves fishery, he has 3 GP tanks for that. The have even snails too. A few of these I have also emulated.

Lol 😂😂😂 they are just funny people pretending not to understand the message am passing.

A lot of people couldn't comprehend the message in my comment. If a people from which the choose who represent them in the government are themselves not productive. Unable to make the best of the little that they have, how do you expect any miracle with the people in government since the are not different from you who choose not to be productive. CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME.

It is obvious your thinking faculty could not process what I wrote vis a vis linking it up with the topic at hand hence I have seen it as a time wasting exercise engaging in logical reasoning with you.

While tinubu led Apc government folds arm and watch bandits sack farmers from their farm lands, thereby causing high food inflation never seen in decades.
Yet we are renovating official residencies with billions and purchasing presidential jets. Misplaced priorities, I pity this country.

No nation can develop with backyard subsistence farming practice that you APC goons are trying to push Nigerians into. If that was the case, Buhari would have had increased cattle. Nigerians are not hungry because they are all not going to farm. But they are hungry because the right things have not been don by the government.
Look at that farm in the picture. How many thousands of people it can feed, with machines and few human beings operating on them? But imagine the thousands of Nigerians it would have taken to plant that level of farm land in their various backyards with crude tools like hoe and cutlasses?
Must it be from federal government. Don't you have your state governor to provide mechanized farming. Channel this your talk to your governor cos he has been receiving monthly allocation.your state has ministry of agriculture.we can't be always blaming the FG. In the north some governors are supporting agriculture.

Where's Anambra today undecided and don't be fooled by just a portion of Niger Republic. If Nigeria post the pictures of Lagos red & blue rail, Abuja speed train and Oyo statme Fashola Farm settlements you will think that Nigeria as arrived. Did this post arise out of desire to be constructive or to castigate APC and it's following?
Ok, can you show us where you are contributing to development of this Nigeria?
Don't tell us farming is not your business.
Don't negate your own post by sighting any examples but you who say others are doing better, show us what you are also doing!
