The fact that Lagos was capital for more than 60 years, through Nigeria's Amalgamation, Nigeria's independence, through the Oil Boom Years, and the attendant concentration of Nigeria's federal government assets, institutions, corporate headquarters of virtually every important organizations, etc led to a massive influx of opportunity seekers, which exponentially grew the population. The domino effects have remained till today.

The huge, diverse population and ancillary attractions will always mean economic opportunities. The same thing is happening in Abuja, and will continue.

Then again, opportunities do not mean that money grows on trees. You have to deploy acumen, talent and skill to exploit these opportunities. It's not by parochial 'omo onile' entitlement mindedness.

Lagos was federal capital until it was abandoned to the Yoruba in 1993 after the June 12 election annulment and your oso Abiola campaign.

Many of you and your relatives were trooping out of Lagos State to your states. You left our state because you thought it was over for us.

We toiled extremely hard to overcome the adversities, filth, bomb blasts, OPC/Hausa wars, bar beach flooding, state-sponsored assassination of Yoruba leaders etc and we voted Asiwaju Tinubu to lead the recovery of our state. We learnt the hard way that if we don't use our head you will abandon us again so we started building our own ports, airports, bridges, hospitals, power plants etc

This guy came from Rivers State to Lagos to prosper by working hard. This is the story of many Easterners in Lagos.

What do Westerners do? They claimed the owned Lagos, do not work hard but expect to be rich by collecting various levies. When the money doesn't come, they start hating due to envy.

How many stories have you heard someone came from Osun or Ekiti state as a pauper and became a multi millionaire?
Snake001:
Hehehe

While Lagos turns paupers to millionaires, the land of cannibalism turns millionaires to paupers by enforcing sit-at-home on mondays thinking they are inflicting injury on the FG.

People who can’t liberate their region from nonsensical leaders they have want to liberate Nigeria.

Lagos State’s gross domestic product (GDP) is estimated at $137 billion – $145 billion. Forget whether it is fourth or fifth largest on the continent, pay attention to what that size means: Bigger than Kenya’s $113.4 billion econom, Ghana’s $74 billion GDP, and Ethiopia’s $127 billion economy.

Every serious business has its headquarters or at least a major branch in Lagos. Headquarters of all the major financial institutions from banks to insurance companies are in Lagos.

Whether you are a foreigner or Nigerian, I urge you to please bring your investments to Lagos State.
Your investments are safe and you're guaranteed of a working business environment with great returns on investment and the best investor-friendly experience in Nigeria and Africa.

Please join others already doing so.
Lagos is the right place to site your investments. You, your family and investments are safe in Lagos.

We overcame all the adversities of filth, bomb blasts, OPC/Hausa wars, state sponsored assassination of Yoruba leaders etc when the rest of Nigeria abandoned Lagos for their Yoruba host after the annulment of June 12, 1993 and relocation of federal capital away from Lagos. We are happy that it is no more Oso Abiola in Lagos, it's now reverse.

If you are a non-Yoruba, when you relocate your investment to Lagos, my advice for you is to stay off the local Lagos Yoruba politics, do not go into illegitimate and criminal business, face your investments, give back to your Lagos host community in form of corporate social responsibility, do not destroy the environment, respect and live at peace with your Yoruba host and watch how Yorubaland will bless you , your family and investment with great returns far beyond your expectations!

This is the best time for you to relocate your investment to Lagos.

Oga give me a break you guys did nothing abeg Lagos is what it is because it was a former federal capital, there was nothing fantastic you did or anyone did there, If for anything you guys have degraded Lagos, at a time Lagos was far ahead of cities like Nairobi, Accra Dakar and other prominent cities in Africa, but right now can you confidently say that Lagos is ahead of these cities? the answer is No.
Please focus on your freestuff business and stop this show of deceit. I think you need to be gainfully employed not this nonsense you are doing.
