Obasanjo should focus on his own legacy instead of critiquing Tinubu. The man is trying to make tough decisions for the country. Let's give him the chance to steer the ship without all these distractions.

Why are we always quick to point fingers?

Obasanjo should remember that the issues with fuel subsidy didn't start today. Tinubu is trying to navigate through a maze of challenges left behind by previous administrations.

Instead of casting blame, let’s support the efforts to find a sustainable solution. We need to look at the bigger picture and give room for progress, no matter how slow it may seem.

What’s important is that we keep pushing for better policies and hold the government accountable, not just criticize from the sidelines.
The reality will continue hitting us hard until we are ready to do the needful. Doing the first thing first, it's only solution to the country Hydra headed problems.
Tinubu has began his government in a very poor footing and he can never recover from it. You have not studied the pros and cons of subsidy removal but just stood on the rostrum and declare subsidy is gone on your first day to mount an office.
The most unwise person to have won presidency is Tinubu in all history. Buhari that we thought was unwise was even more wiser than Tinubu, because he knew the danger of removing the subsidy and he tarried it till his tenure lapsed.
Get this and try and swallow it. No IMF policy that can work for developing nation. Take this hook line and sinker.

Fuel subsidy was never removed in the first place. Nigerians were deceived by this administration. The worst is that the administration has no roadmap.. it's just floating. One chance

Obasanjo needs to understand that progress comes with challenges. Tinubu's decision to remove the subsidy was a bold step towards long-term economic growth. We can't keep holding onto short-term fixes that stifle our potential. Change is hard, but necessary for a brighter Nigeria. Let’s support our president as he navigates these tough waters.
Are you ok? I doubt.

Obasanjo said your messiah is a liar , and he is still paying subsidy , you are here talking rubbish.

Werey

the point here is that whatever happens, going forward, Tinubu has done the right thing and it cannot be reversed.

Already there is subsidy whether they call it subsidy or not, to reduce fuel prices, you have to return to subsidized Naira, to return to subsidized Naira there will be no money for the government (dont forget when Tinubu came to power 97% of our income was deployed to repaying loans hence why Buhari printed money like a drunken sailor)

.....so we will just have to bear the pain.

Mark this post and save it. whoever suceeds Tinubu whether in 2027 0r 2031 will not return to the subsidy regime of either fuel or dollar...because they cannot afford to. he will be criticized but sensible people know Tinubu has done the hard work for them.
Another werey.

They said he is still paying subsidy , you are here talking rubbish.

You know better than obasanjo and other global organizations that have been saying the same thing abi?
Even if you didn’t read the content, the headline is clear enough.

The change should begin with those at helm of our affairs. You can't be buying presidential jet, yatch & building VP resident, paying senators billions in allowances ( wasting Nigeria resources). And you expect most Nigerians to believe you have their interests at heart? Why not cut costs of governance & lower their own excessive? Why not sacrifice their own luxurious lifestyle & wasteful spending for the nation?
