Even if you give all the trillions in budget to the just one of the security agencies, insecurity will rather double. In Nigeria, insecurity is a multi-billion enterprise. People are earning so much from each incident. It can't go away any time soon.

There are about 774 LGAs and 36 States in all of Nigeria. The major power in these zones still belongs to the people and can be effectively used against the government — assuming the people with rally together in the majority. ∎demand the recall of senators and reps both at the state
∎ demand by way of a petition to the senators and reps, the impeachment of either an LGA councilman, Governor, or even the president himself.
∎Protest the government as they did during the recently concluded #EndBadGovernance protests

That the government fights back is to be expected really since these politicians more or less see themselves as masters over the people. So, at this point, the people need to be ready to fight in order to take back what is theirs; it will not come to them easily. I'm still trying to understand what you mean please, are you saying that the fact that a certain set of individuals chose to sell thier birthright on the altar of Money, then a Senator or a Public servant who is gets into the helms of Power should take undue advantage of the Wealth of a nation, see let's tell ourselves the truth, the Money used for campaign is nothing compared to the amount that is taken back from public accounts during thier Tenure in office and besides Sir/Ma nobody, absolutely nobody mandated them to become a father christmas. If he/she feels the need to dash out or give help in monetary or any other form for what ever reason it should be from his or her pocket, you don't rob Peter to pay Paul. If you notice I didn't call you an Apc, pdp, lp supporter but let's be truthful to ourselves People are suffering for this lifestyle they chose to live. They live a lavish lifestyle on the Backs of you and I, when we chose to defend thier activities, let's also ask ourselves, does it make sense that a country Rich in Oil, Rich in Natural Resources chooses to pay its senators a whooping sum of 21 million Naira and yet the common man is being paid 70k with Abeg. Any protest against the executive without including the members of the NASS is not complete.

Apart from the economic malfeasance of State Governors, the major culprits in the looting spree are members of the hollow chambers, sorry, "hallowed" chambers.
