Lols, even a Basic 1 pupil in school knows by arithmetic and verbal reasoning, that Federal Government is on kolos.....

Incompetent and dull people in government....just reduce the price of fuel and disel and you will see that the price of foodstuffs and goods will reduce and come down,.it's the high costs of transportating this foodstuffs goods to the market that is causing the high costs of food stuffs and goods in the market... simple

I feel like giving this man a โ€œbig konkโ€ on his head.
FG keeps increasing Custom duty + all the shenanigans that happens at the Port, yet you want the price of imported commodities to be cheap.

This people go just smoke Igbo finish start to dey talk anyhow.๐Ÿ™„
m.abi..and the high costs of fuel and disel which the federal government increased also increased the price of foodstuffs and goods in the market

I could bet their focus would just be in Abuja and Lagos (with focus on shopping malls)...I really wish they could visit markets too

Tomatoes and peppers don full everywhere for market yet it's still expensive
..it's until the price of fuel and disel is reduced and come down that is when the price of pepper and tomatoes will reduce and come down.. for it's the high costs of transportating this pepper and tomatoes to the market that is causing the high costs of pepper and tomatoes

It's hard to believe that Ninja blender is sold close to a million in any supermarket in Nigeria. Just a quick search on Google shows that it's sold @ N120k on Jumia.

By the way the only way to crash prices of goods is to have naira appreciate significantly, asking people to crash the prices of their goods can never work.

This price control drive is very necessary to help check greediness on the part of traders.

Hmm. As they are issuing the deadline, they should also do something about the import duty traders have to pay. The cost of transportation, fuel price and all. Traders are not selling because it's an extracurricular activity, they also want to make profit...

ITK, I understand that and I know that is not the fully story. This is not your high school economics, and that's why you hear experts say Nigerian factor defies economic logic grin

MrRichmond:

They blame FG because their economic policies are making things hard for manufacturers and farmers.

These people have no choice but to raise their prices to meet their own business costs.

Learn economics!

Government is giving people ultimatum to dispose their goods below their cost price. Imagine the joker that squeezed people with satanic taxes and import duties just to increase IGR without adding value to businesses just for him and governors to have more money to steal without minding the consequences of his devilish policies. Cost of transportation has gone up and the foolish old man want to place control on prices for traders. Very empty fellow
