Yes I am applying as a general visitor. Please do you have a template of the letter you adviced I write & attach to my application to the UK embassy explaining the Land agreement & the deposite into my account which was a refund of the loan i gave some 2 friends.

Your response will be most useful.Thanx.

dannywest01: Hello All, Please i need a favor from you all... My brother applied for Irish visa to attend a conference on the 31st of this month, the application has been made since july28 and the result came in today which is exactly a month after application.. They asked him to appeal the decision. I want to know if it is necessary since the conference itself is billed to start in the next 4 days.. Or can he just appeal and will the visa be issued afterwards considering the fact that the conference would have been concluded by the time the appeal result will be out. I need your inputs please..

they asked him to appeal? who asked him to appeal, what decision?

well the conference is here already, except theres another scheduled in the coming months..

From your writeup, you already know the answer to your own question.
By the way, I doubt that you can make appeal in such category.

I don't think a letter will be enough without credible documentation to prove same

Waiting

Hi Vicjustice,

If my company is supporting part of my conference payment, what document do i need from my company to embassy ?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Raphel2011: 11:27pm On Aug 29, 2013
Today makes it 17 working days and I haven't heard anything yet. I'm just tired of waiting and the main thing that bothers me is registration in my uni. If I don't get back to schl by wednesday, I won't be able to pick courses for this semester and I can't go back to uni without my passport. Will I have to forfeit a whole semester just bcs I want a uk visiting visa? I'm jst tired.sad sad sad

Vicjustice:
I wouldn't bother about it if i were you because, that is a very trivia error which will definitely be overlooked or even corrected by the visa officer once he sees the name (as spelled in the passport). There is no way that your application will be affected by your daughter's misspelled name
And to answer your question, it is allowed to abandon a pending application and fill a fresh form, there is no rules broken in doing that. But for real, you don't have to.

Thanks bro

Please i would want your opinion, i have a valid UK visit visa but it is FAMILY visit, and i have not used this year. My Office nominated me to go for a conference in the UK. Can i go in with the "family Visit" visa?

It is not logical to have two valid visas (of same country) in one passport.
Though your visa was issued for the principal purpose of visiting your family, but that doesn't mean that you are confined to your family house only, you are free to go anywhere within the UK, and there is nothing wrong in using the occasion to attend a conference as long as you are not taking up an employment with it.
But do not make the mistake of giving the impression that you are visiting the UK with this visa for the purpose of attending a conference, in fact, it is wise to not even talk about it if you know that it will be difficult for you to justify your intentions.

Looool! I guess there is a technical problem grin grin have you also tried calling? We've tried reaching the number provided on VFS website but no one is picking. We have also sent mails. Hmmmmm! The wait is not what is killing me, it's the uncertainty grin grin
Did you also submit at VI application centre cos I think this delay is particular to VI. A friend submitted his application at Ikeja exactly a week after we submitted ours and he had gotten back his documents and passport, though he was refused sad sad

I pray the delay would be worthwhile! God is in control... Just breathe and stay calm. I know it's not easy loooooolz cheesy

Good Afternoon.
I have a general inquiry. I recently submitted a UK visa application. We were told to write our CAS number out in small letters, which I did. My CAS ends with zero - G- 5.
I have two questions:
(1) Is it possible for some administrative error will note the zero in my CAS as an 'o' ( as in og5 instead of 0g5?) and if that happens, what can I do about it?
(2) I emailed the vfs office on the 28th but am yet to receive a reply. Should I be worried?
Thanks.

Well, I heard that the British consulate in lagos is short-staffed and has backlogs. They didn't even work yesterday and turned everyone who had an appointment back home. Same today, until Monday.

I had the same issue. You are allowed to add further information, in writing to the print out of your submitted VA9 form.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by riteaide: 5:05pm On Aug 30, 2013
Of course, you can add an extra sheet. Make reference to the additional sheet in the additional information box in the online form. Type the extra information and print on an A4 sheet. Heading can be: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (Continuation).

You can end by adding your name and signature.

Hello house,I applied for a UK visa for some days now but it is unfortunate I could not track with the reference number on vfs site.Each time I input my reference number it shows invalid search. I mail them and this was their reply;
Thank you for writing VFS UK Nigeria.

Your application is still undergoing verification at the visa section. Since you subscribed for the text message service, you would receive an alert once it is ready.

Regards,
Helpdesk- UK
VFS Global Service-Nigeria

Please do anybody has this or have experience this kind of INVALID SEARCH palaba?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by riteaide: 10:36pm On Aug 30, 2013
Your reference should begin with Ikab or ikac. And your date of birth. Are these the information you are inputting?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by k2joye: 10:47pm On Aug 30, 2013
It started with VIAB

Are u sure you used the right ref. Number that was printed on the receipt you were given when u submitted your application? Ur ref number shld be something like this VIAB/*****/*****/1 and the date of birth section, if your month is jan, make sure u write 01 not 1.
Hope this helps.
