thekid123: Dear All, If you have indeed paid all your fees and the ECO refused your application by claiming you didn't pay anything, I would suggest that you immediately send them an email apart from the administrative review and bring their attention to it quickly. They cannot just be making decisions without properly checking through documents. Send an email to the embassy. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by Vicjustice: 3:45pm On Sep 04, 2013 |
riteaide:Easier said. The embassy staff will only take a look at the first line and then delete and thrash the email. No action will be taken |

Not easier said. Let him try. No harm in trying. This is not a regular refusal. He was refused for not having paid when he infact fully paid. Let him email and address this and follow up with calls. They will attend to him. |

thekid123: Dear All,Admin review is your best option, the process would (usually) take longer than it takes to apply for a visa, but not as long as it takes to appeal a decision. In vast cases, you would be required to re-provide the documents (especially bank statement) for verification purposes |

Let him email and address this and follow up with calls. They will attend to him.To whom should he address the email? Understand that when a visa is refused, it is refused, recorded and closed. The ECO (Entry Clearance Officer) does not have the power to reverse the decision, only the ECM (Entry Clearance Manager) can make reconsideration: but unfortunately, the kind of email that you suggested do not reach the managers, only the letters that are explicitly addressed to the managers are delivered to them. Yet unfortunately, due to the volume of letters and emails received on daily basis, these managers have many serious stuff to attend to than to waste their time over an issue of a failed visa applicant when there are people assigned to handle this sort of situation in administrative review |

Hey guys I want to explain my present situation. So basically I was a former student of a particular uni but was kicked out due to poor performance. This was then made known to the home office who then curtailed my current visa to 60days,which expires on 18th September.I am aware I have to apply for a new visa and have decided to make my application back in the uk as i am oversees and I have some of my documents still in the uk.Now i have been granted a place in a different university and i am waiting for my CAS document to arrive. So I wanted to know if i could use my CAS document to serve as proof for a legitimate reason for me to back in the uk when i get to heathrow immigrations. Whats your opinion on this guys? |

Whats your opinion on this guys?No is the simple answer. You failed your course and your visa was cancelled. You do not have a visa until you get a new one. You will not be allowed entry on your old visa. You might struggle to convince VO to give you new study visa as you failed before. |

Ok! So my fiance's application has been ready for collection since yesterday, but he has not gone to VFS cos his hands are very tight at work. He plans going tomorrow. I'd sure bring the good news to the house ... Cheers all!!! And congrats to Raphel2011, *deep sigh* at long last! It was worth the wait |

Vicjustice: Like I earlier said, I would strongly advise that he emails, then calls. They will respond. He can address it for the attention of an ECM like you rightly mentioned, and ask for the ECO's refusal to be reviewed immediately. The OP has to strategically state the obvious and urgency.. And follow up with calls during their opening hours.. They will attend to him. He paid for a service.. OP, I hope you already wrote to them yesterday so they respond by the close of today or tomorrow. Write the email like you would a letter.. Your address, theirs, application and refusal references and of course, attach your CAS letter which shows complete payment. Attach the refusal notice (but highlight the part where the ECO said you haven't paid anything). You will be fine. Check for the email addresses on: https://www.gov.uk/government/world/organisations/british-high-commission-abuja Wish you Godspeed.. 1 Like |

k2joye: Hello BluhatDude, that mail is a generic one o! That's exactly what they sent to my fiance. You just have to relax. I'm sure you'd get your visa cos that's why it's taking long. So many folks that applied after my fiance collected their application before him but they were all refused entry. You see? Just chill I know how the seemingly endless wait can be . Wishing you all the best |

k2joye: Hello Bluhat Tbh emailing vfs is kinda pointless because vfs is just the people that courier the applications to the embassy. What they r there for is to receive your application, do the whole biometrics thingy and send it to the embassy and the embassy sends it bk to them to deliver to you. If your application is takin too long, email the embassy not vfs, I personally don't think there is anything they can do to help. Their email address I know of is visa.lagos@fco.gov.uk and Abuja.VisaCustomerCare@fco.gov.uk.Goodluck. |

k2joye: Hello Bluhat Sorry for the late reply. I was also sent that mail. Just keep tracking as they have advised on this thread. I just got my visa today and was actively tracking it online on my fone, at a point I was tired of tracking. Although visa was given on my grad day - which is today (05/09/13) it was issued on the 30/09/13 in Sheffield just like Raphel advised. So all you can do is wait to see status change online. Thanks all for the wishes. Thanks to Raphel also, u gave me hope. Exactly 21 days like urs. |
