The way Celtics defended and collapsed the paint on Giannis was great but it's also a pick your poison thing. Giannis is now an excellent passer that's very skilled at finding the open man. The kind of wide open shots Allen, Portis and Connaughton were getting you would have to be an Westbrick level to miss

When folks say this era doesn't permit enough physicality, it means they watch too much regular season. Cos playoffs physicality is something else.

Personally, the Jazz needs to get someone in their development program who can work with Gorbert on just his PnR action, both as an effective roller and also making him at least comfortable with the ball in his hands within 5ft of the rim.
If he can just be even 50% when he has the ball with his feet on the ground within 5ft and they solve the wing defense they might just be able to keep both of their 2 stars.

The officiating this game has not been the best but what is wrong with Draymond? The intent on the first swipe and then followed by an unnecessary contact. Draymond has no business playing like an animal. I'm tired of that guy tbh.

The Grizzlies are forcing the Warriors to play defense, especially at the top of the key with Curry/GP II. They play small ball with their lineup and that matches up well with what the Warriors enjoy doing with their lineup. For Ja, this is a better match up for him, he is going to keep having the driving lane because he is coming against Curry on the other end. He is not getting doubled, picked up high up or forced to give up the driving lanes.

Both teams play with pace, intensity and heavy on transition bucket.

That's what separates Giannis from past greats and even the old form of Giannis. This present Giannis has the memory of a goldfish. He remembers nothing beyond the last 2 minutes and just keeps attacking. He will put all of your bigs in foul trouble if need be.

Finding ways to make Giannis commit charges and offensive fouls is your only way out of his problem and hacking Giannis eliminates that

In today’s NBA that’s a deserved call, especially for a player like Dray whose history/ notoriety precedes him. Dray has a history of allowing his emotions go on overdrive which can sometimes be detrimental to your team. Worse still, no one on the roster is able to tell him to pipe it down and use it positively.

Players like Dray/ Beverley play with an edge which can sometimes be dangerous if not properly managed.
