- A 20% reduction in subsidy starting in April 2012 and for the next 5yrs. Yearly increment will be tied to tangible implementation of projects in key areas: completion of refineries, building of roads, Improvement in power supply etc.  For instance, if by April 2013 an agreed upon project is not completed then Govt cannot increase prices.

- Cut in salary for all Federal elected officials. 25% cut in basic salary and 50% cut for all other allowances. Plus a firm commitment to cut wasteful spending in the budget. Allocating N18.5 billion for Aso Rock is a prime example.

-  An independent investigation into the N1.3 trillion subsidy for this year and overall oil subsidy regime. Forget that Senate investigation; that's just show and tell. I just don't know who can handle this

- Reject any palliative measures. We don't need that crap. This is only for Jonah and his boys to chop money

This is the way to go; if not this govt will come back in 2yrs or 3yrs and  tell us the economy is collapsing and they need to remove oil subsidy

Yes my brother . . plus we wan see the cabal and we want them to refund their loot or be prosecuted.

Also when our refineries start working, what is the cost of a litre and what would the price be then?

As soon as labour officially call of the strike, if you wish to continue your own protest you are fuuuuully on your own.
If you cross anywhere with any placard you may not live to learn how Nigerian Police treat those who are fuuuuuuuuuuuuuly on their own.

Re: Jonathan, Labour Leaders To Meet At 5pm Today by Pratter: 9:34pm On Jan 12, 2012
Nigeria is at a crossroad now! Looking at this movement as only an issue of fuel is myopic and stupid.  Most people in government have looted the trwasury beyond repair. Why are they all walking around like free men. Babangida, Obasanjo, Tinubu, Abacha, Madueke, etc etc need to all be investigated. Nigeria's funds should be returned. The momentum of this movement should be used to right all of the wrongs of the past 50+ years.

We should demand our land back! Every person who has ever held public office should be investigated thoroughly.

NLC demanding that FG cover funeral expenses for Ademola Aderinde, Muyideen Mustafa and others killed at hands of police during protest

At least for their families and the nation, they lost their lives. .probably on their spilt blood, this country may change for the better . I'll respect them if they can do this

Plus the officers must be punished. . .way to go if they are really sincere.

Re: Jonathan, Labour Leaders To Meet At 5pm Today by jenuel: 9:39pm On Jan 12, 2012
There is no going back on removal of fuel subsidy. However, it has to be in phases  within 12 months. Target for now will be 100/l and the rest December 2012.
Re: Jonathan, Labour Leaders To Meet At 5pm Today by otokx(m): 9:41pm On Jan 12, 2012
they should negotiate, we can't sustain this strike into next week, we are not ASUU.
Re: Jonathan, Labour Leaders To Meet At 5pm Today by AmAlone: 9:41pm On Jan 12, 2012
This is so very annoying
90bucks per litre. . . .

If they revert back to 90bucks per litre
what change will that make?
I know for sure many goods that have doubled their prices
will bearly go back to their original or say a 20% increment
Re: Jonathan, Labour Leaders To Meet At 5pm Today by 989900: 9:41pm On Jan 12, 2012
First back to N65 then we can negotiate with some calm, figures and facts.
