Good job Lewis again but having Pastor Maldonado behind him on second place worries me. |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by mystikal(m): 5:42pm On Sep 22, 2012 |
Maldonado is quick but useless when it comes to clean overtakes. I suspect a messy first corner 2moro |

MRbrownJAY: ^^^^ bro, as much as you want them to win badly, take it easy....LOL!Loool na practice I kuku wan talk. At the end of the day didn't I turn out right sef justwise: Good job Lewis again but having Pastor Maldonado behind him on second place worries me.Agent Maldonado reporting for duty. Mission: Crash into Lewis Hamilton at the first corner Alonso might wind up being the biggest beneficiary of the potential mayhem tomorrow although it might all work out differently as perhaps Maldonado would have no car to crash into since he is not midfield |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by justwise(m): 7:39pm On Sep 22, 2012 |
A-40: Maldonado will be very careful at the first corner judging by his disciplinary record and his history with Lewis. |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by babyboy3(m): 9:29am On Sep 23, 2012 |
Agent Maldonado reporting for duty. Mission: Crash into Lewis Hamilton at the first corner Pastor is on the dirty side so unless he jumps the gun or it rains over night it would be hard to get a clean getaway from the starting point, so I think he would be concentrating on defending his position leading into the first corner. Leading to turn one is not that long and history has shown the inside line puts you at a slight disadvantage http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/15054973 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/9034642.stm http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8277532.stm http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8259077.stm |

Yes, great start by Hamilton. thankfully, no clashes. Vettel, good start too. sneaks into second. |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by A40(m): 1:48pm On Sep 23, 2012 |
Strong drive by Vettel! Eating into Hamilton's lead by the lap! Its down to how well Hamilton can manage his pit stop strategy now! |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by justwise(m): 1:54pm On Sep 23, 2012 |
Too bad...Lewis is out, gearbox problem. |

Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by A40(m): 2:07pm On Sep 23, 2012 |
Bad decision making by Mclaren again it seems. Vettel is really stretching that gap now |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by A40(m): 2:23pm On Sep 23, 2012 |
Safety car out! And all of Vettel's hardwork goes to the dogs! Alonso the biggest beneficiary as he is 3rd behind Button |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by A40(m): 2:48pm On Sep 23, 2012 |
What a race! Two safety cars already and with the way these guys are driving who says we might not see a 3rd? Vettel leads,Button 2nd,Alonso 3rd |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by A40(m): 3:07pm On Sep 23, 2012 |
Phuck DSTV!! Vettel wins the Singapore Grand Prix |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by Nobody: 3:11pm On Sep 23, 2012 |
although a very tough race, el señor Alonso manage to keep his lead in the championship........ Ham should have won this race. |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by A40(m): 3:33pm On Sep 23, 2012 |
MRbrownJAY: although a very tough race, el señor Alonso manage to keep his lead in the championship........Shoulda woulda coulda! Enuff respect to Button tho a reckless driver would easily crashed into Vettel at the safety car stop |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by babyboy3(m): 3:46pm On Sep 23, 2012 |
Most of the remaining races does not favour Ferrari (I dont know the type of track or circuit Austin is) but the remaining tracks favour both McLaren and RBR. So Alonso has a mammoth task winning this title. |

Hey guys, who's going to watch the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix live in November? I'm interested. |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by justwise(m): 8:40am On Sep 28, 2012 |
Now confirmed, Lewis is leaving for Mercedes http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/19755236 |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by Nobody: 10:40am On Sep 28, 2012 |
^^^^^ "Sergio Perez has already signed a contract with Mc Laren as Ham's replacement"............... these guys were quick, the minute Ham left, they already signed his replacement in, lol! |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by justwise(m): 11:01am On Sep 28, 2012 |
^^^ they knew he will be leaving, why should he take a pay cut to stay? Or sign a new contract without any improved offer? I hope Mercedes get him a good car next season, though i would have preferred he stayed. |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by FBS: 11:05am On Sep 28, 2012 |
No one is irreplacable but I'm all for LH to be successful where he goes. He is one heck of a fantastic driver/pilot. |

justwise: ^^^ they knew he will be leaving, why should he take a pay cut to stay? Or sign a new contract without any improved offer? I hope Mercedes get him a good car next season, though i would have preferred he stayed. you are right, let each go their separate ways.....but how much is that contract at Mercedes? any idea? it only says that it is better than the one MC Laren was offering. |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by justwise(m): 11:14am On Sep 28, 2012 |
MRbrownJAY: Not that different from what he was earning in McLaren, about 15M but he will earn more in sponsorship and endorsement |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by FBS: 11:16am On Sep 28, 2012 |
plus the Numero Uno status. |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by Nobody: 11:22am On Sep 28, 2012 |
^^^^ even it may look otherwise, hasnt Ham always been the #1 driver at Mc Laren?! justwise: yeah but Mc Laren wanted to reduce his fee, so 15Milla + sponshoriship and endorsement is quite much. |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by justwise(m): 11:26am On Sep 28, 2012 |
MRbrownJAY: ^^^^ even it may look otherwise, hasnt Ham always been the #1 driver at Mc Laren?! Yes when i heard 15M i thought.... what is the point of leaving a team of 13 good years but asking a professional driver to sign a new contract with less pay is another way of saying.....we don't want you anymore. |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by Nobody: 11:33am On Sep 28, 2012 |
^^^^ i think yes and no, because their whole problem is that Ham signed his contract before the economic crisis etc......... and now that there isnt as much cheddar as there was before, they expect someone who "supposedly" stands by the team, to take that pay cut in order for the team to still have that financial edge over the second rated teams. they DID believe in Ham, but probably believed even stronger about the car they have. i think that Ham had lost his belief in the team and thats why he also left....... he needed some confidence boost as it was definitely NOT going his way for the last few yrs. yes he won races etc, but its all about being world champion and he could never reproduce that with the car that MC Laren is handing over to him........and now that all other teams are catching up, he can take a gamble like that (if he fails miserably next yr, RBR will be there to rescue him from his misery) |

Mercedes is bringing in a whole lot of changes to their car next season with the man who spearheaded Schumacher's run of victories yrs ago. McLaren has failed in recent yrs to give LH a winning car, is either they screw up in pit-stop or gear-box like what happened in last race. He really need a break from the familiar environment to a place he will start afresh again with a renewed spirit. |
Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by omar22(m): 11:49am On Sep 28, 2012 |
Button signed for £6m a year then resigned for 15m, Lewis was on £15m then they offered him £12m, he would have signed if they had relaxed their grip on the sponsoship deals, which he is only allowed one (Reebok) at Mercedes he would be earning up to $35m (including sponsorships) each year and Vodafone is leaving McLaren who knows they might follow Lewis to Merc but Perez has a huge fan base in the US and Mexico. Martin Whitmarsh might loose his job since Ron Dennis has made it clear that Martin has the final say. |
