Dead space has a playbook version , u don't need d. Android one. I have it on my playbook , nice game

Of course you can use the playbook without a blackberry phone, but you will always need a wifi connection or hotspot to use online services.
But it is best the have a 3G enabled blackberry phone, so you are not restricted.
