.I just need your advice from the forum,.. . i have been married for almost seven years now through an islamic wedding IN 2006 with kids . we won the lottery dis year .Because of this we have to arrange for marriage certificate this year which reads 2012. if we are asked at the embassy whats our date of marriage? we ve already sent the forms to kcc before we note about this issue of 2012 .WHATS THE WAY OUT?what do u think the best answer.

i arrived lagos u.s. embassy at exactly 10mins to 6am. when it was 6:30am,a guy came to announce that all non-immigrant for 6:30am interview should queue up. shortly,the guy then came to announce for 7:00am interview for immigrant category in which i belong. lucky enough, i was the first person in the immigrant queue category. after all thier series of announcement ranging from opening the medical envelope,what not to enter in with and series of security checks,i was finally ushered in. note, while you move from one point to another, make sure you secure all tally number given to you. after paying the 330dollar which was 54500naira,i was called to submit all my credentials. i submitted all i came with and the lady took just the needed ones e.g nysc cert, degree cert, neco cert, npc birth cert,epassport,three passport photo,one photocopy for each credentials and also the police and medical report. in summary, interview started after waiting for like 1hr 50mins. i was the first to be interview today in the immigrant category.

My people, my cn is 2013AF00012***, I lately discovered that Form DSP-122 is compulsory for Principal Applicant, but it was not included in my application sent to Kentucky. Kindly advise me on the next thing to do. Very Urgent

just tell them the same story, tell them u have been married since 2006 and u decided to put it to paper this year. is all in your explanation to them that will matter at the end.

I had my interveiw on wed. 7th of nov. And it was successful. All thanks to God and nairalanders. I was d 1st to b interveiw as imigrate. Co cald my tally no around afta 10am. Co-good morning. Me- morning. Gave me a form n ask me to sign which i did. Co-are you married. Me- no. Co-do you have kiddies. Me- no. Co- have you ever been out of nigeria. Me- :-):-). Co- have you been to usa. Me-:-):-) co- what are you doing in nigeria. Me- studin. Co- which skul. Me- :-):-) . Co- what course. Me- agric. Co-did you choose dat. Me- no. Co- so y did u accept it. Me- cos d future is bright. After dat we started talkin about it and laughin dat nigeria university are something funny. Then she brought out a paper and circle an address indicating where to pickup my visa while tellin me welcome to america. Infact other people there did'nt belive it was interview because of d way we were laughing. They tot i knew her and went to ask her something. My pickup date is next week

Simply update your records with KCC. Fill and sign the specified form and send to KCC via email. I suppose that should fix it.

He can say that but am worried cos those embassy people could be funny attimes. On a normal circumstances ,ordinary courtship is allowed for visa issuance in some countries but you know naija factor have made them not to belive us most times.
@vacancy,do you have any document to show your wife changed her maiden name after she married you?I think that may helpout as well.As some one said earlier,your children will be a BIG PLUS for you. All the best bro

your wedding album will also help cos pictures snapped today can be differentiated frm ones done 7years back.Check your wedding album and look for pictures that have historical background like calender dates or anything to show it was taken in 2006 when you wedded.If you cant get such,never worry.
Another alternative is to go to your IMAN(Mosque) and request for wedding certificate stating you married in 2006 but you just collected it in 2012.That will show you are truthful and thats what embassy wants. ALL THE BEST BRO....
