spyder880: Our stadium, Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium, Enugu.
These photos brings back sweet memories of 1985 during the opening ceremony of the stadium. I enjoyed the jamboree with friends; watching Rangers International play and win their first match in the new stadium was the highlight for us.

Nightshift: Hopefully more Innocent Egbunikes and Ezinwa brothers will be discovered in the Coal city state. Enugu schools were known for producing champions for Nigeria. How i wish the bigger ones will take to sports than engaging in campus cults.

^^^They need encouragement and sponsors. That's why it seems like Delta state has the most gifted athletes in the country; they have better financial support and infrastructure from their state gov't for obvious reasons.

The great Nike Grammar School, dreaded in football and track sports by most secondary schools in old Anambra state. I wonder what the situation is like these days.

at the democracy day celebrations in Enugu, Sullivan told the crowd that he will continue working in Enugu state, and that there will be government projects going on in this state even on the day he hands over power to another governor in 2015.
