exxell: Yo P. We aint hatin Dbanj. Personnally, I love his songs. But truth be told, this oyato is not average as per koko master standard. I aint saying this coz am a Don baba J fan. Am a fan of both and av been standing in the middle since this their feud. I aint take no sides. But you gonna tell yourself the truth that if Dbanj is not criticised, he wont perform better. I know you said Oyato means "its different". But the question here is, in different in what direction? You will be suprised when I tell you that most of the people dissing him are his fans. Gosh! Where is Suddenly, Igwe, Oliver Twist, Fall in Love? Oh. I get it. He should just tell his fans that he has left hip hop and has switched to afro beats to compete with the likes of Pasuma and Co. Let me know how much copies of his album that will sale! So man get it. Personally, am not attacking the personality. Am attacking the idea.
pasuma sings afro beats? Dis guy na psycho patient true true

Thats why its Oyato...this tune is different bro. If u listen closely u'd hear something like Felas beat there.(kekedidi- kekedidi) And FYI Fela is Dbanj's Icon so digest that.

Having said that? Dbanj had always been a Fela "xeroxer" from Tongolo to Suddenly to Mr Endowed. U love it or not. This song will really get Don J thinking.

Truth be told, Don J behaved very childishly. He rushed to make an album just to show that he's got a "crew" ...Mavin records...and the album? A colossal flop. Instead of taking time to do great songs, he was consoling his fans with Twitter money sharing. If u heard tenten, Jasi in the last Mohits album u'd understand this.....Solar Plexus flopped...eand sales would testify to this.

Frawzey.

what does any of what you wrote have to do with oyato. besides solar plexus won't have sales records, because it was not a commercial release. it was totally free.

Billyonaire: The 2 threads is an attempt to make bad song look good but I think good song will speak for itself. As a DBanj fan, I say this song is a big miss. Not worth the replay button. Dbanj, I love you but i dont like this song.
you're not even a dbanj fan. The truth is, it's a miss cos u were expecting a drum-drum, shout-shout but the solemnity twisted your cuts. It's sure afro and a diss song. Yeah. The forgotten part is, this is a single, he needs to reply the SOLAR systems dt stood PERPLEXed!

And didnt it flop? Ask MI what he did while he was an upcoming artiste. Solar plexus would have made a hit if Dbanj was there. Period!

Do u know that Aba boys have started printing Oyato t-shirt since yesterday. Lets see how it goes.

I took you like a bro, waz on the negotiating line with ma niggas as per the constructive criticism I was giving Dbanj coz of his crap. You burst out from nowhere, tribalized the whole thread and used vulgar yoruba rhymes on me. Wat the eff is odoyo, arindin et al? Thought we are civilized? Or you want me to leave my white lines and diss you in my mama tongue? You wanna feel bad today? When you wanna diss me, dont even stand too close coz u are so homo. Na true u talk,no up-coming artiste wil make it wit dis kind of song, but u knw d system as per d'banj d song go blow...i tink d'banj is d richest, biggest and wackest celebrity entertainer from naija...if an up-coming singer sings any song like dis,d 1st problem s/he wil face is criticism from OAPs but reverse is d case for any artist dat sing like 2baba,sound sultan, banky w,etc

All i sha knw say afta a few years from now no 1 wil remember songs like oyato as an evergreen or artiste like d'banj as an mentor or source of inspiration for new borns 2 com.

But 4 now let's just dance 2 oyato and vote it as song of d year at every awards, because dat is d biggest achievement it can get

As a lover of good music, African at that, and a genuine fan of 2face. I must say that this song 'Oyato' is a class; a redefinition of what the true African music and tune ought to possess. I read exhaustively of the comments here on NL and while I respect the opinion of music lovers, I must say objectivity should rule our sense of judgement as I have listened to the song over again leaving me to wonder if its the same song we all listened to. I must be honest that the only disappointment if I may use the word is that his lyrics wasn't extensive but then I respect his style here because music is about communication. I don't know how to express how tranformational the sounds and creativity of the entire song is positively but then quantitatively, if I must, I will give him an 8/10. Please let's try and appreciate our own constructively and leave sentiments aside. D'banj is doing great.

I like both D'banj and Don Jazzy, together they built a brand " mo'hits'" that appealed to young and old
they are both goood at what they do... Together they were fantastic, Iindividualy, judging by their latest works after their break up,
you know something is missing.D'banj's Oyato was watery without the Don's seasoning, Don Jazzy's album lacked the sprite of D'banj.
....death of Mo' hits is a great loss for music.[
