justwise: Justwise, overpayment does not adjust your repayment year. What it does is, it reduces your overall payment and if you are on a fixed terms it also reduces your monthly payment. 1 Like |

Zahra29:Thank you, Zahra29. Yes, it’s a smart TV. I also use IPTV and various pen drives, but I’m looking for something that works without the internet, which is why I asked the question. I will sort this out from my end 1 Like |

Lexusgs430: You still haven't answered my question. I didn't ask about changing suppliers or giving your money to Sky. My question was straightforward, and I appreciate @Zahra29 for providing the simple answer that was needed. Some questions require a direct response, not a diplomatic one. BTW, I do Pay £100 yearly for my IPTV subscription. Thank you for adding to the confusion. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Lexusgs430:Are you talking about IPTV? I have that currently but our supplier seems to be dodgy. The connectivity to Internet is poor. BTW, @Zahra29, if I get the amazon stuff, do I need antenna or satellite outside? Baba Lexus, let me know your suggestion. The £25 is for what? Is this monthly or yearly? |

rock86:There are many areas in tech. Incident management, IT support, software engineering, developers, coders, security architect, cloud architect and many more. All these depend on area of interest for your friend. As you know, technology is revolving and currently Gen AI is what every big tech coy is also focusing on now but before you jump OK any of this you must have a basic foundation. If you want to start as IT support, basic knowledge of network resolution and support, I advice starting with basic security certification, incident management, ITIL(Infrastructure Technology Information Library) a framework for IT service management- Foundation is okay to start with. For coding or developer, start with learning python, this is a requisite for any many engineering positions to know then basic of security, you can learn that with foundational course like Comptia A+( there are various ones out there). The field is wide so you choose what you like. There is IT security assurance, compliance and auditors too 9 Likes 4 Shares |

rock86:You can start using LinkedIn and set parameters on the roles you wanted ,the country, sponsorship et al. I always advice applying directly to the company . A lot of people have testified using indeed, you may try that. Also, you may Check Amazon e.g AWS sites, Google, Facebook, tik tok for software developer roles. If you want big 4, check website directly too. Many times you will get a lot of rejection but don't panic, just ensure you are consistent md submitting at least 5 applications in a day. I tell you, one will work and you will get fully paid sponsorship job from Nigeria that will take care of your flight and even accommodation for some period . Wishing you the very best |

crypticTrey: You have the greatest chance to apply for work from Nigeria as software developer. Why are you coming in as a student? I would say be patient and continue applying. When applying(target locations that are not popular) Also try Canada as other people have mentioned. |

I like the OP attitude and the land will be a land of honey and milk for you. One step at a time, no need to rush.. To the rest defending the country that is currently in the list of every bad things that can happen to the world, well done o! Do you even know that the average life span in Nigeria is 53? Nigeria is second in the list. https://www.statista.com/statistics/274521/countries-with-the-lowest-life-expectancy-worldwide/ Do you know that healthy living is staying in your home with no thinking of buying diesel to pump water? Do you know that healthy living is staying in your home without thinking of buying diesel to have ordinary electricity Little things like these makes the world a better place and living well. You think Nigeria is good at the moment, then you are one of the problem 23 Likes 4 Shares |

Chreze: Thank you for refining my earlier statements. I believe you've accurately summarized our conversation regarding discipline and cultural values in Nigeria. The situation here is distinct. Despite the presence of Generations Z, A, and millennials, who introduce diverse behaviors, comparing the lack of respect among youth in the UK to that in Nigeria isn't something to be debating on. Even though there might be many disrespect among the younger generation, the contrast remains stark. In the UK, it's not uncommon to encounter incidents like teenage smoking on trains, talking back to parents. In Nigeria, however, such behavior still largely occurs discreetly due to our society's prevailing disapproval of it 4 Likes |

heroshark: Proverbs 13 24 Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them. Do you have a data of any children who grow up in foster care as a better person? If you do have please convince me. I can say, teenagers in Nigeria are better behaved than UK |

Zahra29:I have been observing your comments for some time, and although I appreciate your inclusion of certain factual points, I believe it is essential to allow others to express their own truths. Stating that some individuals are abusing and exploiting the system may not be accurate since the UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) granted these individuals visas, and they made the necessary payments for those visas. Therefore, it is crucial to question where this alleged abuse come from. It seems as though Britain desires to have the best of both worlds, which is an unrealistic expectation. While I acknowledge that some individuals from my country can often be loud, I must disagree with your claim that they are mostly abusing the system 7 Likes |
