It seems Hope Uzodinma wants to use this project to lure Imolites to vote for him. 😁😁 Everything this man does reeks of insincerity; it's a common trait among politicians who focus more on playing dirty politics than developing their state.

He shouldn't forget to execute the larger-than-life projects he added to this year's budget before promising to do more. 🥱🥱🥱

My problem is that I don't even know the difference between him and Ihedioha. Going for the latter is like moving from the frying pan to fire.

A president from the SW in APC can't dig too deep to influence who becomes governor in the SE, than a president from the north in APC will do.
The three LGAs that make up Owerri capital territory contain less than 15% of voters in Imo state. They are not enough to win governor 2nd term.
On election day, people look at events, and what developments, were influenced or made, by the governor in their local government areas outside Owerri capital territory, before deciding which guber candidate to support.

Today our brothers indiaspora are afraid to come back to east and u know this people are the main investors we have in igbo land. How can u come do u want to be killed or kidnapped? You know when you watch war movies and the war is breaking out and all the women and children are running looking for cover, and the men are fighting.

This is what you guys sound like, specifically the women lol. I understand wanting to be safe, but there's something about who weak and freightful the average Nigerian man is right now that's very unnatural and alarming. And they're proudly afraid. Of what use is such a person? Men are afforded a lot of priviledges in most cultures under the pretense that when things like this happen on the homefront, they won't be running around spreading gossip and moaning. Because if the women are doing it, and the children and doing it, and the men are joining them, nothing will ever come of this group of people. But in Nigeria, men have the fiber of 6 year olds but still expect to lord over women and children in the name of be submissive and respect your elders.

It's very unnerving, but i think it's because I'm American and culturally this level of 'bitchassness' is very hard to stomach coming from men. Talking about what one women said to another about some men fighting. The ones fighting are fighting for your life. As they are fighting, you're on the internet complaining that the fight is scary. You don't think the ones fighting are afraid? I hope you're (all) contributing more than this.

If you believe in Ebubeagu, join them. If you believe in IPOB, join them. If you have no skin in the game stay out (with your mouth and actions). But don't be on the internet complaining that it's loud or scary or ppl can go home and flex december clothes.

Because it doesn't end there. One friend I have (also igbo-american) told me he was in Ontisha main market and 4 malnourished boys with sticks held and entire road hostage. Sticks. Not even guns. And everyone was afraid to confront them except the ones that just came from abroad. The men on the road will then go home and start shouting at their wife about being submissive and being a hebrew woman lol.

This mentality of taking the benefits and neglecting the duty is why everything in Nigeria looks the way it does. You want to talk about getting things done. Do you know how couragous people behave, and do you know how much courage it takes to 'get things done'. If you don't fight have courage, which shows its self in ones behavior, you can forget about 'getting things done'. You cannot be a coward and comfortableor safe at the same time. There's a proverb that says 'ohu me nke oma, to tuwakwa ujo, o me nke oma, o tuwakwa ujo'. I'm not asking anyone to be a freedom fighter or whatever but at least, as a man, shut up.
u talk out of point this man, who told u that those useless are fighting for our freedom? Tell me how can sitting at home give us biafra? Do u think that sitting at home is affecting other regions? Do u think that killing and kidnapping our igbo brothers will bring biafra. Even if u attack police and army from now till tomorow FG will never sucumb. Let me tell u it will difficult to get biafra, number one we are not united ipob and terrorist simon ekpa are working different thing. Unknow gunmen are the ones that are loyal to simon ekpa while ESN are for ipob. Let me clear u, this people are evil, One guy was kidnapped in uli and he was taking to their camp in ogwu aniocha he was blindfolded they were two. They were demanding 2million for one person They have been doing this for long in that camp unfortunately to the kidnappers their commander came unannounced one day from orsu and met the two men he asked them who are this people and why they were blindfolded they couldn't give good reason that was how this people regain their freedom. It is only a stupid man will be supporting what is happening in igbo land today, my cousin was shot dead by this time last year, his offense was he came back from warri with a toyota hilux that belongs to his company, so they hate anything hilux they killed four people with hilux in two days my cousin was among them, he was from Akata. It is high time we stop this madness, ndigbo said that a bird doesn't defecate on its nest, wise people takes fight to their enemies door step not in ur house. Nnamdi kanu is in abuja if we really need to fight it should be in abuja not in igbo land. Today all our brothers in abroad are afraid to visit their homes even the ones in nigeria are afraid too. Kanu said he will restore biafra without firing a shot, what is happening now?

The ones that believe they have the wherewithal are apply it, those who do not believe they have it are abstaining for apply it. Studying the events of the past should not make you afraid of your present.

We have to look at the cost of cowardice in Nigeria. An environment with men will not function or look like Nigeria. But when a slightest threat appears, men who are the frontline of defense against danger will pride themselves in their fear and trepidation. They will mistake their inability to do the right thing as wisdom. Look at hard work, or struggle as a vice and going to the east to flex church clothes in december as a virtue. Do you think with all of the bones and muscles God put in you, the thing we need you for right now is your opinion or mouth?

But these are differences in ideology. Maybe you see the world differently than I do. But unless I'm talking to a woman, the very thing I'm talking about (an adult man talking about armed conflict in a way that's unbecoming of a man) still stands. You're too old to be crying for adults to intervene and you're too young to be advising, so what you're doing right now is unbecoming. lol at soul food

Imo state budget 2023 PDF

https://www.imostate.gov.ng/IMSG/Common/Services/SFTAS_1?ID=2023_3

After studying the budget
Key salient points are thus:

* Imo state government will rehabilitate the flyovers for 4.2billion

* New refinery project in the offling

* Multi level carpark will be completed

* Centenary tower project is been reactivated probably a PPP

* Pipeline construction to industrial layout

* Onitsha industrial layout to rehabilitated

* IICC will be rehabilitated for 1.5bn

* Improved road construction especially economic routes and markets.

* New market at okigwe.

* Specialized hospitals like psychiatric etc

* I00m for abandoned hospitals probably a PPP arrangement.

* Relocation of police HQ and prison is assured with 60m.

* Export processing zone and agriculture processing zone.

* Industrial park at ohaji in focus.

* Leather market Ngor okpala.

*Imo FTZ Ngor okpala

* Prospects in SPP and Dams.

Overall the budget is good, am very happy with the team that produced it, but exclusion of Okigwe Orlu road speaks volume.

Kudos to Onwa Oyoko and his Economic team.
uzodinma knows how to play politics since four years he took over he abandoned all the project started by Rochas. now election is around the corner he is now trying to be nice he even brought the so called korean real estate developers for cheap propaganda. As a wise man I don't think 400 and something billion can do have of what u posted here, because u can't tell me that since he took over his three years budgets was road! road! road! yet we don't have good roads yet. So what I am saying is that if this money can do all this abandoned projects plus new ones added (roads construction) so my question now is where was all this money before now?

I saw a story trending on FB concerning how Bayelsa man absconded from a trad wedding in Imo. According to the story, summarily, the man was asked to refund school fees spent on the lady,he was also was to identify his wife after 12ladies were arraigned and covered in robes. On failing to identify his wife ,he was placed another hefty fine..

The narrator of this fake story refused to name the particular town this happened. The promoters of this story only have one aim and that is to demarket a blessed state like Imo.

Just this morning,I saw another unchained rabid dog from Anambra say that Imo state charge more than N5m for a traditional wedding...

It's high time we begin to sue those fools and promoters of fake news against IMO who become blind about deviances in their own states but begin to exhibit irritability on Imo by promoting fake news...
I am willing to donate funds for this course, this is a serious matter..
We can't continue being silent, our silence is not timidity. We are educated people that's why you will seldom see an Imo person promoting unverified news about another state or commit the fallacy of hasty generalization...
One person should be used as an example..

Imo, Korean firm strike deal on $7bn Smart City

A South Korean group, Grace Bridge WID Limited, has concluded plans with the Imo state government to set up a Smart City in the state.

This followed the successful visit of the Commissioner for Budget, Planning and Statistics, Dr C.C. Osuala, to South Korea recently during which modalities for the establishment of the business hub was discussed.

The commissioner, who disclosed this to Blueprint over the weekend, said a memorandum of understanding was signed after a return visit to the state by the Koreans.
He said the state’s prudence in budgeting, which had since been acknowledged by the World Bank through the internationally acclaimed award of States’ Fiscal Transparency Accountability System (SFTAS), led to the interest shown by the Koreans.

Describing the proposed Smart City project as “first of its kind in Africa”, Dr Osuala said the project would cost 7 billion US Dollars and would be sited in a 2,000 hectare land in Mbaitoli local government area of the state, adding that it would create 5,000 jobs for Imo indigenes in particular and Nigerians in general.

He listed the features of the Smart City project to include a 24/7 power supply with hydro and solar energy running simultaneously, a FIFA standard stadium, an Olympic sized swimming pool, world class high rise hospitals, with helipads where helicopters would be landing to pick patients and other high rise edifices; educational institutions to be populated with people from different continents; adequate security, among others.

The commissioner said the Korean investors would fund it and eventually recoup what they spend through the sales they would organise, especially as very important personalities would be coming from different parts of the world to patronise the services that would be available in the city.

cheap propaganda Because of next year's election. Where is denka solar city ? If that small couldn't be achieved na this one go work? Do u know what is 7billion USD?

Looking at the picture of the drainage it is of quality work but I ask, why are they still constructing open drainage? In honesty, our people have not really understood the importance of a clean environment they will clog the drainage with all manner of rubbish, and rain season floods will destroy the road, Is it not penny wise pound foolish? I really understand that underground drainage is costly but slab-covered drains are good enough.
