@samstone4 Obama has been amazing but I still have my reservation about his prospects I still don't understand your reservation about his prospects, does it mean you don't believe that he could beat Hillary or you don't believe in a black man leadership. the hand writing is on the wall , people wants change. bet me he will carry all those states on Tuesday. the only hope Hillary has right now is on march 4 which is on Texas, Ohio etc. UP Obama, |

@samstone4 Did you notice that Hillary won the state of Massachusetts? The 2 seating senators and governor from that state all endorsed Obama. Senator Kennedy has represented the state for more than 30 years! This is one of the most liberal states in America! yes Massachusetts is a liberal state, but have elected Republicans into Governorship positions many times. Lets watch out today and march 4, it will give a clear picture. UP Obama, |

I think the man should be commended for the Job well done. Some People alway think that Nigeria will continue to be bad that nothing good will ever come out from their leaders. i think we are now in transitional period of our democracy, if things continue this way, Nigeria will be a big country to talk about. look at Anambra scenario, since that state was created, there was never a good Governess in that state until Ngige came in although he came through back door. But he made his people see what is like to have a good Government. The point i am trying to make is that, we may see that kind of leadership in this President. |

@ijeoma i hope you are either married to a Yoruba man or ready to marry one. don't use your bad experience with your IBO boy friend and generalize that Ibo men are unpredictable. I don't know what kind of IBO girl you are? check yourself first! @jesqueen, Everything depends on what you want. |

@poster and friend why is everybody shouting take the Job. why! why! . you people think that Nigeria will continue to be like this. i am a believe, i believe that things will turn around in that country in a near future, take it or leave it, look at it this way. before the biafra war, civil workers use to earn good and are comfortable with their family, after the war, business people took over. Rightnow, the clock is turning back to civil servant although you will ask me what percentage. entering level into banks, communication and some other sectors is good. Another thing to considered is what you like best. if you like to become an MD, go for it. Time is a thing you cannot control, and it fly so fast. |

@sweet T you said in one thread that you are a law enforcement officer(police or, ). how come you of all person will do such a thing to your daughter or even her boy friend. that is child abuse. i hope you have not forgotten the law. |

@ good idea. team up with frank. my only question is how those nairalanders living outside the shores of niaja will participate. |

@poster, what God has joined together nobody should assunder, think of it this way, will you like to go into a marriage that your in-laws will hate visiting you . i don't even think that your parents will be happy with you. infact, if you look at this situation, you are the one causing problem for the girl. your presence does not allow her to focus on her husband. Move on with your life, there are good things ahead. |

money is good but it is also bad if you allow it to control you. Nigerians are not only obsessed with money, it is the same every where. just look at the case of Nicole smith, Howard stern, Verge & Larry. Everything is about money. Any slightest mistake with anybody here in state, will make you cough out money. |

@ tarzan, i hope you are sure of what you want to go into. investment property here is not like niaja, i will advice that you hold on till end of the year or next year.housing market here is softening rightnow, you will get what you want by next year. i do also hope that you have a good credit history, cos that will have an effect on the interest you will get. |

pre-nup is the perfect way to go into marriage if you are a $millionian, if it doesn't work in UK, it works perfect in STATE. , i think we don't need that in Africa, tradition/culture took care of that for us, ![]() |

@naijafresh if your broker use two days to reply your mail, then they are even better than mine. up till today i have not gotten any email from mine as regard my instruction to sell some of my shares and buy new ones. if operating two account is ok with cscs, i will open new one with either IBTC or BGL any time i am in the country . my problem with IBTC is whether they have time to interaction personally with their customer as regard buying and selling shares. for BGL i noticed that most people in this room like their services. |

All our fingers are not equal, why do you expect every body to be rich, Richness also depends on what you call rich. Most times people equate richness with having millions of money, riding the most expensive cars etc. i believe that everybody is rich by your own standard. there are certain things you have in life that other haven't. some are blind, cripples, beggars, uneducated, single ladies, single men, no job, low wages, no father, no mother, no siblings, no house, etc in any situation you find you self, thank your God because it could have been worse. the problem with Nigerians is that, they look on all these pastors to perform miracles of wealth for them. the pastor get richer while his followers gets "p, " |

i quite agree with some of you and disagree with others. here in America business is run in long term not for short term as we always believe in naija, Goggle saw great potential and went for it. Bill gate(microsoft) did it and it paid very well for him. he buys up small potential companies.people don't just acquire or buy a company just like that, they must have done their ground work before dolling out that kind of amount. In economist we have what is call comparative advantage, produce what you have more advantage on and buy what you don't have advantage on, i that case i think goggle is right. ![]() |

what is happening in this house, everybody is looking at #15000 as a small amount to invest, to me no amount is little. even a penny worths a lot. To make money, you must respect money, follow the rule of money. #15000 is good enough to start up. you can invest in stocks. look for a good stockbroker and start from there. if the stockbroker is good, you will see the different between investing and just living the money ideal. if you handle this #15000 well, then you can handle #500,000. you must count one before you can count two. 1 Like |

he should first visit Nigeria then decide on what area of business or investment that interest him. i believe that if you are happy with whatever business or investment you do then return on investment will good. that is the law of money. tell him to check on stocks and real estate. |
