greypencils: All you've said above I accept, however you need to separate Ndigbo from Obidients. The "lack of home training" behaviour described above is the sole preserve of Obidients, none of this is anything I saw or presently see with Ndigbo I grew up or went to school with or even currently interact with outside of Nairaland. |
Politics / Re: My Opinion by aswani(m): 9:35am On Jun 11 |
DMerciful: He came third, no one switched anything off or it would have appeared in the server logs. If they didn't collate overnight, you would say they are manipulating the results in the background. The judiciary were not compromised, they can't give the man a judgement that he hasn't brought any proof for. Read the summation again, his legal team were severely admonished for wasting everyone's time but the don't care. They were cashing out on Obidients donations. People aren't attacking Peter Obi without reason, they are firing back against the continuous and repeated onslaught of Obidients. No man of impeccable integrity would spend a second in PDP (or APC for that matter). By the way, we are still waiting for Peter Obi's election expenses report which he promised us ages ago in proving his whiter than whiteness status. 3 Likes |
Politics / Re: My Opinion by aswani(m): 8:00am On Jun 11 |
DMerciful: The only people that prevented Peter Obi's "emergence" were bullying Obidients on social media who lost him a lot of neutral votes with their insultive and abusive manner to anyone that dared to have a different opinion on him than them. People realised that he hadn't got in and Obidients were not letting them speak or breathe and wondered what would happen if he DID get in. Watch him come an even more distant third this time around as Obidients still haven't changed their ways and think Nigerians will be cowed into submission by them. 3 Likes |

Indispensable85: I beg your pardon, Dennis is in his second term. If Inegbineki was that useless, why did Akpakomezer run to meet him to try and change his mind? There is more to being a stalwart than winning a polling unit. |
Politics / Re: Finidi George Should Go Before He Destroys The Super Eagles As APC DID To Nig. by aswani(m): 7:32am On Jun 11 |
Justnation: I admire your optimism but I don't share it. They would allow Finidi a few more games to mess up more when he should be removed NOW to give the new coach a chance of bedding in. We lost to the Republic of Benin in Nigeria, they are a disciplined team admittedly but some things should not happen without consequences. |

Bobloco: This is a huge blow to APC, though Esan land traditionally is a PDP enclave, this man has done a lot of hard work for APC in Edo state overall. APC Ẹdo state have a huge problem, I am not convinced Denco and his hordes of supporters in Edo South are fully behind Monday's candidacy. That house is very very divided. I feel a lot of influential people in APC Ẹdo want to deliberately lose these elections just to show Akpakomezer as useless as a gubernatorial candidate (which isn't exactly a false assertion) and then fight Asue tooth and nail next time round. Akpakomezer (and Denco too) should have concentrated on their first terms in Abuja instead of putting their hat in the ring for gorvernor. All their acrion has caused in ranciur, betrayal and infighting in Edo state. CORRECTION: Denco is in his second term so my last paragraph is effectively only directed at Akpakomezer. For some reason, my brain decided he was in the State House the last 4 years and only just went to Abuja 1 Like |

7upnigeria: Not sure I agree with your argument here. That Ndigbo want secession does not mean they all want to or should live in their country. There is no country in the world, except maybe North Korea, where each and every citizen lives within the confines of the country. I can tell you now that even if Nigeria breaks up, and hopefully peacefully, Ndigbo that were born or grew up in other parts of the country would not only stay put in the place they know and love outside alaigbo, they will also apply for and hopefully be given passports of those countries. Ndigbo are natural traders anyway and have an admirable tendency to do so and do so very well in foreign climes. That talent should not be curbed because they have finally gotten their country. |
Politics / Re: Can a politician control his followers? by aswani(m): 11:27pm On Jun 10 |
Sapasenator: I am not an APC supporter but Peter Obi could have absolutely continued to constantly post about the level of decorum he expects from his supporters. Once he tells an idiot or two that he doesn't want or need his or her vote, the rest would understand that their gra gra is better directed somewhere else. Of course, Peter Obi needed every Obidient vote so he indulged them, what a shame |

Chinedu Gbadebo for the South East now that he has destroyed his political career in the South West and considering his humongous Obidient following. Maybe Peter Obi to deputise for 8 years and take over and do his own 8 years. Bikonu máke una allowed me tok my own. |

Chicagograduate: First off, I thought Hundeyin said the papers were released by the FBI but they redacted President Tinubu's name. Also, this link below shows the calendar in the court that Judge Beryl's sits, it suggests she didn't do anything on June 6. https://ecf.dcd.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/CourtSched.pl The above actually shows today's cases and below shows a link to the filter page instead. I filtered from the 5th to the 7th so it would show the 6th too. https://media.dcd.uscourts.gov/datepicker/index.html |

hedonido: He stole nobody's mandate, Peter Obi came an admirable third. Bikonu rest. Peter Obi actually stole the mandate of a bona fide Labour Party member in bringing his Ghana must go bags to parachute himself into the party as well as to seize the Presidential candidacy. Shameful behaviour. In saner climes, Peter Obi would be disqualified from running under a banner he wasn't part of 6 months before elections. 2 Likes |

Politics / Re: South West Governors In Lagos For Crucial Meeting by aswani(m): 5:46pm On Jun 10 |
Thewrath: But I didn't see any picture of the Lagos state representative being forced against their will, in fact the meeting seemed to have been held in Lagos which suggests Lagos state doesn't want the rest of it's "Yoruba Yoruba" brothers to leave it alone. Imagine that, the only viable state wants to be speaking Yoruba, I assume that was the língua franca or the meeting, to unviable states in a closed door meeting. Yet Obidient belle dey run ontop di mata. 2 Likes |

Umuinyioku: It wasn't. It couldn't have been because as a cloud server, whoever disabled it would have been identified by now as LP and Peter Obi would have been able to subpoena the log files to identify the culprit. |

Ogun ọ gbọ́ every single poster on this thread that has the nerve to berate the Oba (gha to kpere baba). In the good old days, Ohinoba used to hide themselves and their useless opinions, nowadays in the era of social media anonymity, these malcontents have the guts to show their face and even share their imbecilic views. These people should remember, Obaseki's throne is for 8 years, Our father's own has been standing since time immemorial and will be till eternity. Artefacts are not government property to be used to make money to chopulate, they are Benin people's property held in trust by the Palace. Obaseki is playing with fire in thinking he can get his own back over the artefact matter that he lost hand down, he wants to run mad before he goes back to Lagos, hmm. |

Have you got any proof at all of any of these things you have written especially the ones in your second and third paragraphs? A link would suffice. Benin is not Kano, Obaseki needs to be very careful. He is about to also torpedo Asue's and PDP's gubernatorial chances with his BS. 3 Likes |
Politics / Re: Nigerians Will Decide If Atiku Or Obi Will Be PDP’s Candidate In 2027 – Bafarawa by aswani(m): 8:13am On Jun 10 |
Vinnie2000: Have you got any proof of any of this because Peter Obi's lawyers would have loved to have it. If they waited to announce it at 8am, you would say they had the result at 2am but manipulated it for 6 hours. They gave Obi votes to Atiku so President Tinubu can win, where is the sense in that? Peter Obi did not win the elections, bikonu you suppose don rest by now as you no get proof. |
Celebrities / Re: Tonto Dikeh Celebrates Her 39th Birthday by aswani(m): 8:06am On Jun 10 |
Heffalump: You are so true regarding your first paragraph. She was trending more than Peter Obi is now at one point, incredible to think. I wish her a happy birthday and I pray for more blessings and wisdom for her. A shame that some can't help themselves in slut shaming her on this thread, can't you people just wish her a happy birthday and move on? You can create other threads to besmirch her character if you so wish. |

naptu2: If it was a family member that died, would the wife had continued with the party because they had spent that money to prepare for it? On the other hand, if it was a humble member of the parish that passed away, would she not have continued her party without anyone batting an eyelid? Neither side of this issue have any moral high ground to claim. He and his wife were under the umbrella of "Redeem", they have now decided to remove themselves as is their right so nothing spoil. This is not the last we would here of him and his wife, I just hope the oncoming fight over that "franchise" building is not too dirty. You better believe his wife is playing a huge part in what has unfolded, humility has departed from most Nigerian Pastors and their wives, a real shame. |
Politics / Re: 2023 Election: Middle-Belt Coalition Urges Obi To Accept 2023 Election Outcome by aswani(m): 7:43am On Jun 10 |
Diligence: No mandate was stolen, Peter Obi did well to come third. He and his lawyers had the chance to prove their case in court, they focused on blank IREV pictures instead. If you had proof of his mandate being stolen, why didn't you get in touch with his legal Team? Peter Obi needs to congratulate President Tinubu on his election win to close that chapter, celebrate people so that when it's your turn, you yourself will be celebrated, sadly he knows Obidients will behead him if he attempts it. Is this how he would have run his government, being scared of making tough decisions because Obidients will harass him? |
Politics / Re: Like Buhari, Peter Obi Is A Repackaged Fraud And He Knows It Himself - Sowore by aswani(m): 7:29am On Jun 10 |
YesDaddyTill203: For me, nothing wrong with Ndigbo wanting or being desperate for an Ndigbo Presidency. The problem is the belief by Obidients that bullying, insulting and abusing others for the "crime" of not supporting their man, never mind having a negative opinion of him, will help their cause. The concept of convincing people with facts about their candidate without needless denigtarion seems alien to Obidients. Peter Obi got 6 million votes last time, I will bet with anyone that he is getting less next time out and the sole reason will be the behaviour of his Obidients in "defending" him. 2 Likes 1 Share |
