As many that are interested in getting nominated by a province, one of it will open by 2nd January,2015.....be rest assured that the maximum packages will be received within 5 working days so if you want to explore it,I suggest you send your applications early since it has 500 applications CAP..
The good thing is that, you dont need Job offer for it...other provinces normally have.
Please see the link below..
https://www.apps.gov.sk.ca/apex/f?p=305:1
User manual link below..
https://www.apps.gov.sk.ca/apex/wwv_flow_file_mgr.get_file?p_security_group_id=1044621897481142&p_flow_id=305&p_fname=SINPOnlineUserManual2014.pdf
Additional link..
http://www.economy.gov.sk.ca/immigration/sinp
If you are interested and you have all your documents ready...I suggest you send it sometime next week for it to get to the place by 2nd January...trust me,its gonna be competitive because of the no job offer condition.
If you are successful in this, you have a huge 600 points in addition to whatever points you have in Express entry link I shared earlier.
Also note that for this program,IELTS of CLB 4 level is the minimum...
Listening - 4.5
Speaking - 4.0
Writing - 4.0
Reading - 3.5
Cheers.

Does that mean the minimum IELTS scores for Express Entry is
Listening - 4.5
Speaking - 4.0
Writing - 4.0
Reading - 3.5

Thanks

Yes its important that he gets the 6.0 point as that is the minimum point if his exam score is to be considered. even though he is only contributing 5 points.

This contradicts a response to a question asked recently in this forum on spouse IELTS. pls can someone clearify this? thanks all.

1.Yes it's acceptable but make sure you validate it before printing out to fill with black pen.
2.The form is for you either you're single or married....provided you're above 18years.
Cheers
.

Thank you Kollins,

I have type-filled, validated and printed the Generic form and the generated bar code. I just want to be sure if I can use pen to fill the remaining forms. i.e IMM 0008, IMM 5669, IMM 5662 etc. Thanks
Travel / Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by cheers1234: 8:38pm On Oct 02, 2014
Hello house,

1. Please is it acceptable to type-fill the Generic form (because of the bar codes) while filling others with hand? Some of the spaces given are too small for typing.

2. Also, is form 5406 (Additional Family Information) applicable for singles.

Thanks

Have you received PER for your application yet?

I will advise you to steer clear off including dependent that are not your biological children/family except situation makes it expedient to include them. You will have a lot of legal work to do at a subsequent stage especially when the dependents are not biologically related to you (so you won't be seen to be directly/indirectly involved in child trafficking).

EXCEPT THE DEPENDENTS ARE RELATED TO YOU BIOLOGICALLY AND/OR YOU HAVE THE FINANCIAL WHEREWITHAL, DO NOT INCLUDE ANY OTHER DEPENDENTS IN YOUR APPLICATION!

Thanks Solo, its a new application, so no PER received yet. Was just thinking I could include one of my niece undecided. Thanks.

Thanks Solomonwis for your response.
This is what I saw from the application guide on my question 3.
To me it seems someone can include ur kid even if not listed as your dependent. see attached.
Thanks.
solomonwis:

1. YES

2.NO,you can not and should not otherwise it will be a waste of time and effort.

3. You need to explain better by "...include a child who is not among my dependent". Is the child a legally adopted child?

Yes you can fill in their names. And please apply as married. If you apply as single you will never be able to sponsor your wife and kids in future. Cic frowns at any form of misrepresentation. Also note that even if your family is not accompanying, they are going to be asked to take medical test with you.

Ok... thanks!

lillyadet: Pls does anyone know how to get bank certification from Gtbank? I was there on friday but they don't seems to understand what bank certification is. I explained to them, even showed them the format but the lady that attended to me typed reference letter for me instead. I rejected it anyway because it does not reflect my current account balance. I told her to include it but she said she would need authorization to do that and ofcourse I was asked to come back for it. And again, please do I need to address it to CIC in Canada or what since Gtbank said they can't put "TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN".

I suggest you try other staff, she might be a new staff. Also, I think you should rather ask for bank statement that is stamped and signed.

1.IELTS general version is applicable to every applicants regardless of their academic heights.Besides ...there is no realistic way of meeting the 67 points cut off mark even with the maximum points in other factors without IELTS.The maximum you can ever get is about 57.It is mandatory.
2.The proof of funds only applies to your dependants namely spouse and children....or adopted child.Siblings and parents are not your dependants in this context .You are encouraged to provide proof of fund for your dependants .
3.You alone knows the reason ........it will not be used against you.Education pursuits and professional engagements are good enough reasons .Besides,I will prefer you include them even if they will not go with you.Doing that does not mean they must accompany you but meant you won't have to put yourself in a tight corner.
Cheers.

@damkollins Thanks a lot for the explanatory break down. Kindly forward the IELTS materials to me. adesojiakinlosotu@gmail.com

Hello good people,
Its quite interesting going through the thread here and kudos to all sharing great ideas and experiences in the forum. However I still have the following questions. Kindly assist.

1. Is IELTS also applicable to PhD student or PhD holder with publications?

2. For the application, does one need to include the name of kid and all relatives (brothers & sisters) for the purpose of inviting them later?, if yes, would the applicant have to provide the proof of fund for them with the application?

3. Also, on the application form what is the best response to 'why is your dependent not accompany you?

That would be all for now. Thank you.
