LaurelP:
I usually ask myself; all these material things we die for, how many of them do we eventually get to use?
How many gold jewelry can you wear at a time?
How many houses can you live in at a time?
How many clothes, how many cars, how much money can you spend?

Why deprive others?

It baffles me.
Travel / Is America Truely A God’s Own Country ? by chegson: 5:18pm On Apr 09, 2015
My people, especially the young ones, always refer to the United States of America as 'God's own country'. Some few years ago, i used to find it very difficult to understand why they have the belief that America is the Country where God resides, inspite of the numerous places of worship we have and very large group of strong believers and worshipers, calling the name of God regularly in their various places of worship. The under-listed facts that i discovered about the United States have really helped me in shedding more lights into why very good number of my people, especially the young ones, have such opinion about the US.

1. The United States is truly a land of limitless opportunities especially for those that really want to work legally, make decent living and achieve very great success. Anyone that is prepared to work hard, obey the laws of the land and ready to endure will surely achieve success and greatness in the US. It is a place where people that are still struggling can easily make a positive change to their lives.

2.Superb security system. Adequate security of lives and properties is guaranteed in the US. It is a place where one can actually live a very peaceful life, enjoy adequate peace of mind and actually sleep with the two eyes closed at nights.

3. Your freedom is guaranteed. In the Yankees, you enjoy lots of freedom such as freedom of speech and expression, freedom of worship, freedom of movements, etc. that are very rare in many other countries of the world.

4. The quality of life in the Us is great when compared to what obtains in other countries.

5.Availability of basic amenities. There is constant supply of electricity ( twenty four hour a day),water taps that never run dry, an excellent transportation system, especially in New York, with good network of roads that makes mobility to be awesome.

6. Equal employment opportunity. American system gives equal employment opportunities to all qualified job applicants regardless of race, color, age, nationality, sex, marital status, disability, etc. You do not need to have a God father in an organization before you can be considered for employment. Once you meet up with the necessary requirements and scale through the interview, you are hired.

7. Fundamental human rights of people are respected, the aged are well taken care of, there are adequate laws protecting women and children from abuse, availability of very good quality and uninterrupted educational system, the disabled are respected and well taken care of, visitors generally are loved, welcomed and respected.

In America, if you know how to keep off from troubles and obey the laws of the land, the sky will be your starting point, not even the limit.
All these, however, are my own personal opinion concerning this great land of the Yankees.

sammily: I was successful with the last bidding for NTB but when I got my certificate, it came with the bank's letterhead. Is this normal? I was of the impression that since I'm buying from CBN, the certificate should carry CBN's letterhead.

Just asking...

likewise me. I was also successful in my bidding of November 20, 2013 and what i got from my banker was a certificate on the bank's letterhead.
I think this practice was adopted in the best interest of investors because, the original certificates issued by CBN should be submitted back to CBN for redemption at maturity.

I belief it is normal, most especially as the certificate obtained from my banker contains very vital information relating to the investment such as:
> Amount invested
> Tenor
> Rate
> Maturity date
> Roll-Over date.

T bill auctions take place every other Wednesday. Next Wednesday (1st of January) seems to be out of the question.
Upper Wednesday (8th of Jan) seems more likely. Im just speculating though.

I received a call from my banker this morning confirming to me that bidding will take place tomorrow.
So let us wait for the outcome of it.

I doubt the sincerity of this type of offer. How does the op expect the trainee to get to the venue of training and back home with his/her car? Or may be the training is going to be conducted online or through correspondence. The op needs to shed more light on the offer.

fabolakers: Don't use IJN to Replace In Jesus Name because when you get attacked, you don't expect to say the Blood of J and expect something to happen. His name is Jesus and that's a Name above all names so next time you think about using IJN after sharing a Prayer with someone especially on social networks, think about that because I don't think you can command anything when you keep screaming IJN. Happy Sunday to Everybody and Make sure you pray for our Lovely Country Nigeria because there is no place like Home.

Lord Jesus, be merciful unto me. Forgive me of my wrongdoing In Jesus Name.

Religion / Re: Praise Or Worship, Which One Do You Prefer? by chegson: 1:37pm On Oct 27, 2013
Sapphire86: I prefer both but I feel they r 2 separate things for 2 separate purposes.

Praising God is all about thanking Him for what He is or has done

Worshiping God is glorifying the King of kings, Lord of lords, the One who is, who was and who is to come. Whether you have received the manifestation of ur request or not, you just want to adore Him, pay Him homage because from everlasting to everlasting He is!

Lord I just want to thank you for all you have done for me and also to praise your holy Name in appreciation of the wonderful things you are about to do again in my life. I shall for ever be grateful Unto you.

I really could go on because My God is awesome. I need not consult any other god because the Almighty God trumps them all!
Father I thank you!

Some banks are usually very slow in crediting investors account. My last roll over was effected last month June 26, and I only received my interest on July 15 after so much complaints to Firstcontact. You have to keep disturbing them to credit your interest in your account.

You do not need to beg or complain for your interesr to be paid because it is only the net value of the investment your bank ought to have deducted, leaving the interest in your account. At maturity, your account is now credited with the face value of your Investment. This is the standard practise in all the banks as regards treasury bills investment.
