Is it that there's no one on nairaland who attended FGC Ugwolawo or is it that they are shy?

I am sure someday someone will show up.

I am not a dengramite, but I've had friends who graduated from there.

I even met a Nigerian guy who happens to be in the same with me and he said he's
a dengramite. I'd tell him about this tread!

I did finish from FGC Ugwolawo(Kogi State).
I'll look for my folks too!

This ify babe, who said she left 2005 and is saying things aren't the way they used to be
what of us who finished in 1996 from our schools? (we must be old school then!)

ify; i like your spirit of friendship.
Dutchmillionaire; do you do things the "alanso" way or just a nickname?

Keep it up guys!
Romance / Should I Ask My Family? by chucket(m): 9:14pm On Jul 08, 2008
Please is it possible to meet with a real good Nigerian girl in London?
I mean with all these work, school, work schedule of mine?
I have always been seen as a lively bubbly guy before I came here.
But with the trend here, my lively bubbly nature is just for me and me alone.
I have gone to some clubs (even club afrique in Canning town), yet, n results.
After the dance, "to your tents O Israel!"

I've been here for a year at least, so I know what I am talking about!
Will it get better or is it going to remain like this?

Its not as if I am ugly. I am well built and presentable. But no girl friend.

If I want to marry, should I ask my family to find me a wife?
Romance / Re: How Do I Tell My Wife, I Dated Her Cousin Years Back? by chucket(m): 9:02am On May 14, 2008
bababuff,
I read through your post over and over again to see the
wrong thing you did, but didn't see it or didn't it appear on my
system?

Would you have asked all the girls you dated in the past if they are
your future wife's cousin?

I would advice you tell your wife now before times passes more ok?
Its better she becomes HOT HOT HOT now and before long it will cool
instead of posponing the dooms day.
If she's mature enough, she would know you don't have to ask girls
you dated before marrying her if she was her cousin.

Unless you lied to her that you never had a relationship before you married her!
Maybe that is the basis of your fear if not nothing to worry about.
Travel / Fgc Ugwolawo! by chucket(m): 8:51am On May 14, 2008
Do know where it is?
Have you been there before?
Do you know anyone who has?

If you answered yes to any of the questions,
then,
I really would want to know you!
Programming / Re: A Java Programmer To Be Needs Your Help Please! by chucket(m): 9:59am On May 08, 2008
Bossman,

I am at java.sun.com site.
I've gone to downloads and there were som many options like
java EE, java SE, java ME, java FX.
Which one do I need to download?
Programming / Re: A Java Programmer To Be Needs Your Help Please! by chucket(m): 9:29am On May 08, 2008
Bassie,

Thanks so much.
In the place you said I should input path "jdk version".
How do I know the version of the one I uploaded?
You know it was sent to me from Nigeria and it was on a
writeable cd.
Or do you suggest I discard this one and go to the sun site you gave me?

Sorry for bothering you ok?

Thanks for being there for me!
Have a nice day.
Programming / Re: A Java Programmer To Be Needs Your Help Please! by chucket(m): 8:32am On May 07, 2008
Dearests,

I am happy and grateful for all the suggestions and help rendered.
I am overwhelmed, but what more can I say if not thank you?
So thank you a million times!

I actually odered some java softwares from Nigeria because of the cost here,
but after slotting in the discs (which were copied on r/w cds), it did not show any pop up
or wizard for directions. I just assumed its loaded after a while.

Whenever I open my system, I'd see some java files but when I try to compile or run an
application, it will tell me that "javac is not recognised as an internal or external
command, operable program or batch file".

Could it be from the softwares or is that how it goes?

After slotting in the software discs, am I not supposed to see a pop up
or a wizard?

I would still appreciate more help. Again, if its from the software,
can anyone help me with the infomation on where to but a good one?

Thanks in anticipation of your help.
Computers / Re: Oracle DBA Corner by chucket(m): 3:12pm On Apr 28, 2008
please friends,

I had a short class at NIIT on SQL server 2000.
I understood it so well. Will it be of any help if I
decide to go into oracle 10g?

I am just a beginner, but would need your experienced
guideliness and directions. I have read through and I am
glad and surprised at the kind of assistance you render to
each other!

All of you are blessed.
Will be able to reap from your knowledge?
I an internet connection. Is there anything I would need to do?

Please I want to know how to start,
the steps to take and where to get what.
I am ready and out to go all the way!

I would be very grateful if someone can sacrifice his/her time to
give me a hand.

Thanks

Please dearest nairaland users,

Is there any site where I can learn Java programming or any where I can get a full grasp?

I had a sting with it when I was at NIIT, but didn't just get it fully.
Now I'd want to go fully into it. Is there any help or direction you can give me?

Its really the program I'd love to learn.

Is there any site where I can download the java software that compiles and runs Java programs?
The ones I've been able to download don't work on my system I don't know why.

I would really love to hear from you please!

Thanks in anticipation of your positive responses.

Jobs/Vacancies / I Once Cried, But Now I Laugh! You Too Will! by chucket(m): 1:17pm On Jan 10, 2008
To the House,

I wish to encourage all of you who are seeking for a job here.
I was close to tears when I read a post "Am tired" it reminded me of my time
when I was searching for a job. At a point I got to a near breaking point and I had
to post the topic "Am still a young graduate?". It was the words of encouragements from fellow
nairalanders that kept me going. At that point I felt like I can't go on again.

But today I thank God for He did more than I had imagined he would. And it was when I thought all
hope is gone! God who made you has a plan for you. I am not a preacher but I know because He has embrassed me with favours! Who says He can't do same and even more for you?

I feel like crying tears of joy! To say the truth I love this forum and all those who share job
news here! May God bless all of you.

Please do not give up no matter what the case is. You might be focusing in one direction while God will be doing it the other way and when both merge, you will see how happy you will be.

Don't give up Please!
Have a blissful year ahead!

I had known my girlfriend for almost a life time,
we loved eachother so much.I didn't fall in love with her rather I grew into love with her.
We knew were going to get married someday and we've been working towards that.

But we went for a genotype test the other day and we both happen to be AS!
I am confused on what to do! Do I forget science and marry her or should science decide my love?

Help me out I beg u good naira land users!

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: People Prime Flop? by chucket(m): 3:59pm On Jul 28, 2007
Fellow nairalanders,

I appreciate all those who are giving kudos to People prime. After all, it is not easy not organise a fair of that magnitude.

Now, come to think of it. Dont someone think that the whole lot was for the image boosting of people prime? How come the woman from Guinness expressed a surprise at the crowd? Do you think Nike really told them we needed job or an awareness seminar? Maybe it was the crowd that even scared Guinness away!

Those who had a chance to meet with companies were those of the morning session. As for me, they called us in only to abandon us in a room on the first floor only for someone to come and tell us its over. When we rushed down, we only had to drop our CVs with reckless abandon. I did not meet MTN when I came in.

So, it was successful in a way that is for those who attended the morning session!
The last group to enter, we paid dearly.

Thanks anyway people prime maybe your next fair would be better!
