Islam for Muslims / Re: Can A Muslim Veterinarian Keep Dogs? by Cocodiva: 7:37am On Aug 28, 2013
3@nairaland.com:
2PAC ;Actually I am a Quranic Islamist who does not join hadith in my believe thus Allah made mention of dog in suratul Khaafi and if keeping dogs is religiously bad,He would have mention it their or else where in the Quran.

Quranic islamist What do you make of Q33:36.If you believe only in following the Quran alone.what decisions of the Prophet was Allah referring to in that Ayah? Besides, how do perform the complete ablution, call to prayer, even perform salats with the number of rakahs as it is done today? Food for thought.
Keeping of dogs as mere pets is not allowed in Islam.it is only allowed in the instances mentioned in the hadith quoted earlier. For reasons best known to Allah. We may not fully understand the rationale, but it goes beyond the physical. Quoting the story of ashabul kahf does not justify it either ,cos those people existed long before the prophet did.We cannot rely on those occurences before the prophet to justify our actions cos Islam was perfected after the prophet.besides, because ashabul kahf had dog with them doesn't suggest it was a mere pet cos they were not even in their home, they were out.Islam is beyond following your heart or common sense or the likes,it's all about obedience to Allah according to the teachings of His prophet.May Allah make it easy for us all

Beetle: Salam!

I saw the dr today didn't even bother to scan me as the report he had was enough evidence one is stuck to the wall of my uterus 14cm he said and another one on the other side and he said I have 3 options and I should keep on trying. Told him I've had 6 tx, he said it might be the factor so will wait and table it all to ALLAH. Anyway my sisters I pray ALLAH answer our prayers soon. So take care all

In btw C why don't you recommend having surgery for Fibroids?

B

My dear, its a personal opinion.though its a short-cut and you get relief immediately esp if its bothering you physically but it has its downsides.*Like all surgeries,it has its own risks.esp when its not performed by an expert in that field.*Not all fibroids can be removed anyway, depending on their location*there is the problem of scar tissues formation, which can't be avoided and when you'r dealing with multiples,it reduces the available space for implantation cos embies can't implant properly on a scar tissue*besides, they usually grow back esp when the conditions encouraging the growth remains present.there are other disadvantages that are not major.Though it works for some people, esp when they concieve shortly after .may Allah help us.
Concerning your report, don't let it weigh you down.just put your trust in Allah,He alone has power over all.people that have been given worse report have gone ahead to concieve naturally so don't worry too much,Allah is in control

@Cerkeynah,how are you doing?hope you're fyn

@Moyinoluwa,determining EDA is a function of the quantity of s*emen that flows out after BD. Usually, the fluid isn't more than a teaspoonful at a time so if you feel a good amount of it coming out, then you may have EDA. In a situation where eda is not present, just a small amount comes out, that you may just wipe once and nothing else comes till the next day.but when eda is present,it'l flow out almost immediately after the deed and soak whatever is beneath you.in that case, treatment is required as a good number of sperm is not going into the tubes as the carrier is already out and without the carrier, the sperm cells will die out.

Seriously, you're not making any sense and I'v come to realise that trying to reason with you may be fruitless.I'l advice you to seek knowledge that'l take you out of your present state of ignorance

@Beelie, I'l advice you stop the pregnacare for now.it may be the culprit as hydrotubation should not interfere with the lenght of your cycle. B vitamins as the ability to lenghten the luteal phase and this is present in pregnacare.reactions to it is different in women.give it a while,AF will return as long as you'r not preggy.

@Beetle,EDA is an issue O.But can be treated with herbs.pls don't consider surgery for the fibroids.Look into herbs instead.Allah'l make it easy.

@Tbaby,thanks for the reminder of the dates.very encouraged to fast on those days
May Allah bless us soon

You really don't need to pity anybody here but yourself. Cos each and everyone is responsible for his/her own actions in this world. And your last comment shows your ignorance about how the hijab works.if it is the husband that imposes the hijab on the wife, what say you about those that use the hijab before they get married? And the gist about rugby team makes no sense because a muslim man cannot marry more than 4 women at a time.and besides, the unattractiveness does not come into play cos a wife is not supposed to cover up in front of her husband.A muslim woman in hijab is at her best in beauty before her husband cos she has the right to bare it all when he is in her company.got it? So pls back off.you are pleading a lost case

Good to see something like this happening. BTW, for the doubting thomases, that building is definately not a mosque. The cross on top of it spells that out without a doubt.A mosque will never have a cross on top of it,it'l rather have a minaret. Peace

Msgamble: D same reason berber-Tunisia n Turks, azerbaijan(all muslim nation),europe legislates against wearing of hijab in public place n office even on the street..dis should tell u hijab is purely arabian n persian culture against desert-dust even men cover their nose(emir style), wearing of hijab by arab women is older than islam itself, even arab n persian pagan b4 islam wore it as preventation against desert dust..don't let them fool u, we are in tropical area nt desert..wake up, don't b fooled

So how does this history become a problem for you? I don't think you should bother yourself so much or give yourself headache and indeed heartache over this hijab issue. No muslim lady in hijab has complained to you have they? Its better you face your religion and allow muslims be please.I'm sure you're not as bothered with those ladies that bare it all on the streets

Food / Re: What Do You Do With Food Given To You During Festive Period? by Cocodiva: 5:54pm On Aug 12, 2013
dasparrow: @Post

Back in the days as a child, my mother threw away the whole food that were brought by the neighbors and I am here to report that she has not changed. As a kid, I could never grasp why she did that but I certainly understand now that I am a full fledged adult.

And you are proud of her actions.Even now as an adult you can't advice her on doing otherwise? Its better and more rewarding not to collect it or collect and give it out to the needy ones than throwing other people's resources and efforts away.besides, there are hundreds of beggers all around that will give everything to have that plate of food she throws away.its good you ask her to repent likewise yourself as you seem to agree with her actions lest God holds you accountable for it.
I don't understand why Xtians behave like this.why do you show eye-service to people and do something terrible behind closed doors and someone will open his/her mouth and say muslims are intolerant.

@Abibby, pls ignore the utterances of that person. Some people display a type of insensitivity to the plight of others either knowingly or unknowingly.it could have sufficed to make a single line of dua for you.but you know what,it doesn't really matter cos Allah is the ONE who has power over all things and He alone is the one who grants requests so turn to Allah and you'l be consoled. Cheer up and don't allow distractions from the actions of people weigh you down.

Asalam alykum my sisters.Hope we're all doing good.May Allah ease our tasks-amin.
In line with the suggestions of Venuss and rainyday,I'l like to suggest we start the tahajjud on wednesday night the 14th / thursday 15th of august.I thought that thursday will go along for people who may want to fast as well. Whoever has the opportunity should give charity to the needy.it may be money, food, clothing etc whatever is convinient is okay.
As for the dua,I suggest we observe whatever number of nawafil we'r comfortable with, recite the Qur'an and then do istigfar(astagfirllah),subhanallah,alhamdulilah,lailaa-illa Allah and Allahu-akbar.then table our requests, also recite Q25:74 and remember to pray for our husbands, family, friends, others on this thread and other goodness of this world and hereafter, then top it up with sending blessings on the prophet(SAW).may Allah accept it from us.More suggestions, additions and modifications pls

My Fab. Sisters, asalam alykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatu. Hope we all enjoyed our Eid celebrations? May Allah make us witness many more in good health and in safety-amin.
Enough prayers from all family members this eid,may Allah say His "KUN" on it and grant us our heart desires very soon-amin.
I also support that we put in extra efforts as per ibadah to facilitate acceptance of our requests-may Allah crown all our efforts with success.
Sitta-shawwal is on now,but we need to repay missed fasts first.so I suggest we start by repaying the missed ones but we can pick days for tahajjud for starters.more suggestions pls

The news is true. I was at the Eid for prayers. It happened after the eid prayers when the governor was leaving the ground. He was waving at the people when the pure water missiles started. But at the same time,I want to believe it was aimed at Bukola Saraki who was also with him at the eid.
