Its saddening to see this kind of arguments around here. Worse still, some people perceived to be knowledgeable exhibiting ignorance.

To think that coding HTML and Python is more important than understanding Graphs and Linear Programming (both mathematical problems) in the field of computer science is complete lack of understanding of the domain.
I bet most of you html/aptech guys cannot explain simple programming concepts like Hashing, state machines, Push-down automata etc

Anyways, I'd rather hire a Mathematics graduate and teach him python and html than hire a NIIT grad.

Hi Friends.

I got an invitation to attend a Software Developer summit in the UK in October.
The summit organizers are sponsoring my Travel and Hotel costs.

I just finished university (B.Sc.) in July, and not yet mobilized for NYSC. I have a part-time job in the university though. I dont have much considerable earnings though (average about N70k a month).

I want to access my chances of getting a business Visa.

I have a Letter of Invitation from the Summit Organizers.
I can get a letter of Introduction from my place of (part-time) work.
I have got a parents that have steady income in their accounts.
I traveled to the USA last year for a similar summit (while still a student though), but my passport went missing, so I have had to get a replacement.

There is no simple way, there is just the way.
You need to download the JDBC driver for the database type you are using. e.g mysql-java-connector for mysql db.

add it to your class path and build.

you should see sample code in regular beginner java texts.

I did CS in OAU Ile-Ife...and 90% of those were in my syllabus. the lecturers might not have taught them exceptionally well, but they tried their best.
so none of those are new.

you don't need to make d username d primary key. u could maintain an autoincremented dint column as the p.key.

but since a lot of your search will be based on the username column, you could put an index on the column to make for faster search.
