Pls I need advice pls I Got a job sales representative in a company in dubai pay scale is 300k in naira equivalent pls advice me

Lol sounds good until you reach Dubai and find out that rent is 310k. Double check the offer though, are there performance criteria? Does it come with accommodation? And the most important question of all, is the offer genuine? Hopefully you didn't have to pay for it.

Shine your eyes o, Dubai is now a game of juggling daggers and knives, one wrong move and you get cut.

oh boy! your guy dey jail since early hours of thursday... i came to Deira from Abu Dhabi on wednesday by 12 mid night, the building i was in was raided from 1:30am by 2am i was taken to Naif police station. After i turned in my ID, at tge end i discovered that someone was impersonating with my ID and has a very serious case. I was released today but was called on phone to return to the station which i did. I'm still in jail using their wifi and the phone i came back in with.

i will update the house when i'm out, please be careful guys some of our naija people are very wicked. please remember me in your prayers.

Better use your time and currently charged phone to call/SMS your friends and tell them to arrange a lawyer for you, before they say something in Arabic and before you know it you're before a judge with long term jail and deportation. A lawyer can get you out on bail ASAP while they investigate the case properly. Luckily, this is the UAE and if they can prove you were at work elsewhere while whatever crime was taking place you'll be off the hook. You would also like to get out of that issue as soon as possible because of your job, employers are not lenient when it comes to police cases and you don't want to be tied in with police wahala that long. This is why I avoid Nigerians these days and that Deira location in general.

It does not matter whether you're a legal resident or not. Avoid those joints except its on very short business. Because when they hold you drinking in one illegal/unregistered joint in Deira, you might be held so long, you lose your job/clients or accused of something else because you were there with people who have no legitimate means of livelihood. Nigerians always think they're faster than anyone else and can tell stories when something happens. Do the necessary and free yourself from the hassle.

Politics / Re: The President Lives In Aso Rock, How About The Vice? by cronus: 7:04am On Apr 04, 2015
Aguda House is within the Aso Rock complex or Aso Villa. The Vice President stays in his own residence the Villa. So also does the Chief Justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. There are also several private residences in the general Villa area outside the President and VP's sections, (State House) occupied by politicians and private businessmen. Orji Uzor Kalu's house is in the general Villa complex, Audu Ogbeh, Abdullahi Kure, the former governor of Niger State lives within, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu etc.

He might have won but he won't make it to the Senate. As soon as Buhari enters, extradition to the United States for Kashamu. Straight! So if he's wise, he will run before May 29th.

Any voter turnout of 70% or more from the SS will be rejected. You think INEC is stupid? Imagine having turnout higher than the President's Bayelsa or higher than Buhari's Katsina. That is where their overzealousness in rigging will undo them.

Politics / Re: Did Gov. Chibuike Amaechi Of Rivers State Betray Gen Muhammadu Buhari? by cronus: 5:45am On Mar 29, 2015
Amaechi will probably laugh last. Right from the start he knew he was fighting a powerful battle. All the more reason he was so visible in this anti-Jonathan campaign. He might lose his state but he will be remembered as one of those who spearheaded the battle against Jonathan, from Governor's Forum to the decamping governors that moved over to APC.

The highest that will happen is he loses Rivers State to his political enemies. If Buhari wins, very few people will be eligible for the positions zoned to South-South (based on GEJ support) and Amaechi will be at the forefront.

Woe betide the same enemies in Rivers if Amaechi is handed anything that has to do with probing and law enforcement or even election crimes. The same people jubilating at the Rivers rigging will be cooling their heels in federal prisons around Nigeria.

The guys who probably lose in this equation are Amaechi's supporters who decamped with him, people like Dakuku Peterside them, APC House of Assembly and House of Reps, Senate members etc.

Na so. They have captured Gwoza less than 24 hours to the election. Where are the girls? Where is Shekau? This was how they told us Shekau had died like 10 times and he rose up from the dead 10 times like Lazarus to release one video after the other. All this last minute action film in the name of elections, what was the government doing since. Abeg tomorrow we continue with the change mission.

As I said on another thread " Tele Ikuru ke? If it was somebody else maybe it would be newsworthy. Tele Ikuru and Uche Secondus aka Total Chairman, the Deputy National Chairman of PDP are first cousins, they were even co-looters in the land reimbrusement saga in Port Harcourt. Tele has always been on his cousin's side but afraid to cough based on political choppings, I guess with one week left to Presidential election he felt it was now safe to decamp, lol."

Interesting. So, were they co-looters all the while he was shouting "Change" and waving brooms with Amaechi, or did he suddenly become a looter when he decamped to the PDP just 45 minutes ago?

You really don't understand what is going on in that state.

With a name like EroticAngelina, do you blame the man? He wants to upgrade you to Chairman levels. After all who is giving the small boy the money he's using to toast you. Better tap from the bank vault and stop collecting from the counter.

But take am easy na...how can u say a hippos bite is poisonous ? Hippos are dangerous animals but their bites are not poisonous at all o. Remember there are health practitioners that may be lurking around this forum and you don't know who may just be laughing at ur comment now.

Hippo bites are deadly because of the excessive amount of bacteria they harbour in their mouths, bacteria from the bite can kill you quickly by leading to a serious infection that affects more than just the bite area.

Politics / Re: President Jonathan Disrespected My Office By Taking Over Stadium - Amaechi by cronus: 7:40am On Jan 26, 2015
Una no smart at all. You people don't think he did it on purpose because he knew they would force their way in?

All na strategy. After elections when they dispute the results they will saw "after all you saw how they used soldiers to take over a stadium forcefully, much less the ballot boxes".

Did you see Amaechi make any serious effort from stopping them using the stadium. It's a setup they don't even know they walked into.

Do you know how many stadiums are available in Port Harcourt. Talk less of this one that is not even in the center. Lol.

Politics / Re: 1985 Newspaper Story Created After Buhari Was Toppled by cronus: 6:19pm On Jan 23, 2015
Kenai:

Yes, THAT Okey Ndibe! The man the posters here are now trying to label as "corrupt" just for the sake of Buhari.
Even MKO Abiola wasn't spared. They have now 'agreed' Abiola was corrupt. The same people who rioted after the post-June 12 injustice are now saying MKO Abiola was indeed corrupt.

Who knows what they'll do tomorrow? Currently, Bakare isn't a saint in their books anymore, because he's parted ways with Buhari.

That's just to show you the inconsistencies in their own principles. grin

There's nothing wrong with Okey Ndibe, maybe he honestly thought IBB was better than Buhari or he was writing from the perspective of a journalist doing right by his brothers who Buhari had offended. One thing is sure though, after 8 years of IBB, most journalists would contend that Nigeria had jumped from frying pan to fire.

Even Reuben Abati was an eloquent writer,pro-people activist and scholar...where is he today? The pen might be mightier than the sword but its ink often flows to the dictates of the people paying the bills.
Politics / Re: 1985 Newspaper Story Created After Buhari Was Toppled by cronus: 6:06pm On Jan 23, 2015
You people are funny. You expect Concord Newspapers owned at the time by a strong friend and financier of IBB, to write anything positive about Buhari. MKO was about to be a beneficiary of state contracts from IBB's regime, his newspaper merely continued his pattern of support.

While Okey Ndibe is a respected academic today, will he today clamour for IBB over Buhari in the same vein he wrote the article before witnessing the rule of the IBB regime?

The OP must think we're daft with this fake news. Have you seen the sort of guns carried by members of the President's security detail? Then you want us to believe youths with sticks and stones would dare face them? Those guys carry better weaponry than Nigerian soldiers sef and no crowd messes around with soldiers. The DSS Presidential security detail does not play o, leave all these stories. If it was that serious crowd or no crowd people for die.

APE?

Am I the only one seeing the problem here?

Nigerians and being over-sensitive. In UAE news reports relating to crime, the full names are never mentioned for suspects, only their initials. Identifying him as APE simply means his initials are A. P. E. Nothing there.

The simple act of insulting someone (e.g "you're a bast4rd"wink can land someone in prison here much less beating someone up. Unfortunately, Nigerians think everything is about gra-gra everywhere and in this case it landed the person in trouble.
