A 20 year old Russian student simply known as Ariana has revealed she has decided to auction her virginity online with bids starting at £130,500 so she can be able to pursue her medical studies abroad.

According to Ariana, she'll rather lose her virginity to gain the best of education than lose it to someone who will later break her heart.


Ariana says her parents don't know how she intends to get the money but that at the age of 20 she doesn't feel any need to hold on the virginity any longer with her education hanging in the balance.

She said:

“Many students have the issue that during their studies they have to deal with multiple problems. You have to go to work in order to pay for your education, want to move to another country for my studies in medicine. The university will be very expensive; the rent will also be high. I imagine that living in another country will be very hard, therefore I want to get the financial burden out of the way so I can focus on my medical studies.”

Arian describes herself as an “independent woman” and says that selling her virginity is her own choice.

“Why should I wait any longer? Why should I lose my virginity to someone who could then break my heart later?” she said.

The first Presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in the race to the White House has just been concluded.

While we thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a new thing or two, the biggest secret we have managed to uncover by following the debate is that our leaders have, all this while, been taking notes from Republican candidate, Donald Trump!

Or maybe it’s the other way around- and this view is starting to make more sense- but whatever the case, below are some the connections we made.


The Lies!

A few minutes into the debate, Hillary Clinton warned that viewers log on to her website to verify, in real time, all the facts that either candidate puts forward throughout the 90-minute debate.

Good call Hillary! But then it turned out there was no need to log on to Hillary’s website. Some of the contradictions (read: flat lies) in Trump’s stories were too glaring.

For example, in a bid to win points over his opponent, based on the current Democratic dispensations inadequate handling of America’s wars outside, Donald told the whole world that he didn’t support America’s 2003 Invasion of Iraq. This lie was just pointless seeing as his support of the invasion has been public knowledge for a while now.

Which is exactly what informed this article. Watching Trump just reminded us of home because, guess who else can tell lies on that level of plainness? Our own politicians!

Remember 2013? When then President Goodluck Jonathan said, “now, we are generating more than 5,000MW,” only for the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to come out days later with proof that Nigeria had never (at the time of course) generated up to that amount of electricity.

Personal advancements always trumps societal development

Much of Trumps arguments at #DebateNight revolved around the fact that he has successfully run multi-million dollar businesses. According to him, it is about time someone who knows about money ruled America.

Hillary went in on this. She scored points against Trump by playing to the emotions of the “middle-class Americans”. According to her, Trump’s tactic was to employ services of the less advantaged people and then refuse to pay them their dues. To this, he responded saying it was probably because they didn’t such a good enough job.

In response to a direct accusation by Hillary that he took advantage of existing corporate legal framework in America to cut corners with payment for services and exploit the smaller guys who rendered services for his businesses, Trump murmured: “because the laws allow”

This is exactly what our own people do. Taking advantage of every loop hole in the Constitution to their own advantage alone. On this, there’s absolutely no need to single out any instance or person. We only have cast our minds to all the people that have supported the proposition to sell off our national assets and double check against their individual and joint abilities to buy said assets.

Withholding tax returns

Dear President Buhari, …

On this one we admit that there’s a slight difference. Yet. Trump has refused to produce his tax returns and our own President has chosen not to declare his assets in contradiction of his solemn campaign promise to do so.

According to Trump, he hasn’t produced his tax returns because he is currently being audited. But the IRS already stated that it shouldn’t matter that he is being audited, Trump can still publish his tax returns.

In President Buhari’s case, as a response to mounting pressures the he and the VP should make good on their promises to declare all their assets before their hundredth day in office, the Presidency released a partial list of assets.

He then assured Nigerians that full disclosure contained in the asset documents filed with the Code of Conduct Bureau would be made public immediately after verification by the Code of Conduct Bureau.

But a statement few days after by the Code of Conduct Bureau said it had concluded the process of verifying the declarations of President.

The statement, issued in response to a news report that verification of assets and liabilities declared by Buhari, Osinbajo, President of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and other top government officials, including Speaker Yakubu Dogara, had not been completed, the Bureau said it had concluded the process of verifying the declarations of the mentioned officials.

Like Trump, PMB has continuously refused to publish said documents.

They always want more tax incentives

According to Trump, one of the ways he would ensure job security for Americans is by reducing the stringent tax regime in order to bring back companies he claims are fleeing America to Mexico and other places.

We are all too familiar with the call for tax holidays and regime relaxation “in order to attract foreign investors” but we all know the people who really benefit from tax holidays at the end of the day.

That bit -a concept Hillary calls “The Trump loophole”- is not lost on us. Especially the most recent one by former CBN governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi in his contribution to the subject of overcoming the recession.

So the next time you hear or see our Nigerian politicians act a certain way, blame Trump.

Miami Marlins, an American professional baseball team based in Florida, lost its pitcher José Fernández, 24, in a tragic accident after a boat he was on struck a Miami Bay jetty at high speed and overturned on Sunday September 25th. Two other yet to be identified men also lost their lives in the accident. Their bodies were found after Miami-Dade Fire Rescue were called out to Miami Beach. The photo of Jose above was taken hours before the accident yesterday...


Two bodies were found under the boat and one was found in shallow water. None was wearing life jackets, but Fernandez (pictured above) was said to have died due to impact, not drowning.


The investigation has been handed over to the police and because the boat hit a jetty, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). A representative of The FWC said:

"It does appear that speed was involved due to the impact and the severity of it. The boat seemed to be coming at full speed when they encountered the jetty, and the accident happened."

A police spokesman said that the rocks were hard to see at night, and while the boat had been used in the area it was possible the driver had sailed off-course without realizing. The investigation is ongoing, with toxicology reports yet to be performed, although neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to be factors.

Fernandez, who defected from Cuba aged just 15, became American in 2015. He is survived by his family and pregnant girlfriend, Carla Mendoza.

Arnold Palmer was a 7-time major championship winner and became the most beloved figure associated with the golf in the 60s. A transgender man, Fernando Machado who was assigned female at birth and his partner Diane Rodriguez, who was assigned male at birth, gave birth to a healthy child after conceiving with his transgender wife, making the couple the first transgender couple in South America to do so.
The couple who gave birth in June, live in Ecuador have expressed their desire to have more children.

Machado told BBC:

“We are the same as other families. Even though we might not have the same rights, we are the same,”


The transgender couple met after meeting on social media more than two years ago.
Diane told the BBC :

"We don't have a name yet - or rather we do - we are just waiting to announce it.

"Being a mother was never something I thought I would do because I am a transsexual.The law before demanded that to be recognized as a woman you had to be castrated."We are the same as other families. Even though we might not have the same rights, we're the same.

Ms Rodriguez on the other hand said, said she never thought she would have the opportunity to be a mother.



The couple have not undergone full gender reassignment so were able to conceive naturally.

'We live as man and woman. I'm a trans-feminine woman and Fernando is a trans-masculine man. The process to get here was complex for each of us,” Mr Machado said.

Brad Pitt has begged wife Angelina Jolie: “Please just let me see my kids.” Angelina, 41, is blocking the actor, 52, from visiting their six children while the FBI continue an investigation into alleged child abuse, The Sun reports. It has now been revealed Brad got into a fight with adopted 15-year-old son Maddox on a private jet last Wednesday.

Sources close to Brad are also worried about his state of mind. He fears losing his wife at the same time as his kids Maddox, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, ten, Knox, eight, and Vivienne, eight.

U.S President Barack Obama has weighed in on the U.S presidential election claiming that the reason why Trump is doing well in the polls is because of the sexist mentality among most Americans, saying if it weren't for sexist beliefs, Trump will be no where near the Democratic candidate..

The ISL-affiliated news agency Amaq says one of the group’s followers carried out the stabbing attack that wounded at least eight people at a shopping mall in the US state of Minnesota on Saturday.

"The executor of the stabbing attacks in Minnesota yesterday was a soldier of Islamic State and carried out the operation in response to calls to target the citizens of the countries belonging to the crusader coalition", Amaq said in a statement.

The authorities say a man wearing a private security uniform and armed with at least one knife stabbed eight people at a St. Cloud mall before he was shot dead by an off-duty police officer. All eight victims from the attack were treated at a hospital for wounds that weren't life-threatening and all but one were later released.

The attacker has been identified as as a 22-year-old college student. The man's father identified as Dahir Adan, who is a Somali, says in an interview with the Star Tribune that his son came to the U.S. 15 years ago and was a student at St. Cloud Technical and Community College. He said he had "no suspicion" that his son might have been involved in terrorist activity.

Leader of the Somali community in central Minnesota have condemned the attack. They held a news conference on Sunday and said the suspect does not represent the larger Somali community.

Authorities haven't publicly identified the attacker. FBI Special Agent-in-Charge Rick Thornton said on Sunday that authorities are still digging into the suspect's background to determine his possible motivation.

St. Cloud's mayor and police chief praised the swift actions of the off-duty Avon police officer for shooting and killing the attacker. The part-time officer identified as Officer Jason Falconer is being hailed as a hero. He told Minneapolis Star Tribune that he's "been trying to stay away from it all, for the time being" Falconer said he wasn't hurt and declined to talk further, citing the ongoing investigation.

Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote says despite the large size of his group, he still requires to have 38 visas to move around the African continent. In an interview with CNBC, Dangote said African leaders need to work to remove barriers such as visa issuance so that businesses can effectively connect and thrive within the continent.


''Our leaders must give incentives. For example, little things like visa issuance. You go to a country that is looking for investment, that particular country will give you a run around just to get a visa. You have to know somebody who is big in that country to call somebody. They are giving you visas as if it is a favour.

Somebody like me, despite the size of our group, I need 38 visas to move around Africa. Yes, I’ve heard that they are going to do the (African) passport, but you can see that there is still a little bit of resistance from other African leaders. Even countries like Rwanda and co, that say no visas for Africans, they are still having problems getting visas into other African countries, despite saying no need for visas for Africans coming in. A 34-year-old Nigerian woman from East Dulwich woman who was involved in a £40,000 money laundering scam was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on Friday, September 16th.

Olamide Aina was found guilty at the court on Monday, August 8th of two counts of money laundering. She was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment suspended for two years for one count, and six months imprisonment suspended for two years for the second, both to run concurrently.
She is required to undertake 200 hours unpaid work.




Aina allowed her account to be used as part of a scam in February 2013. The first victim, from Morocco, purchased two printing machines which were advertised on a fraudulent website and the £37,945.18 paid was eventually siphoned into Aina's account.

The second offence concerned the fraudulent sale of a lawnmower in July 2013. On this occasion a 29-year-old man lost £3,675 with the money again being found to have been paid into one of Aina's many accounts. Neither victim received the goods they paid for.

Aina was arrested on 15 July 2013 after detectives traced the bank records which were used to funnel off the fraudulent transactions. Police do not know who orchestrated the scam.

DC Michael Esangbedo, the investigating officer for Southwark Borough CID said:
"The investigation was complicated as Aina tried to hide the money trail. It was a well planned and complicated scam. Aina was no doubt motivated by greed and has never shown any remorse for her actions."

The Presidency has responded to reports that President Buhari plagiarized president Barack Obama's speech at the launch of "Change Begins With Me" reorientation campaign in Abuja last week

Reacting to the report, Senior Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Shehu Garba, says the official responsible for the speech will be sanctioned

The Presidency wishes to respond to a story on alleged plagiarism in a Presidential Speech that has been trending for most of today.
The Presidency observed that the similarities between a paragraph in President Obama’s 2008 Victory Speech and what the President read in paragraph nine of the sixteen-paragraph while inaugurating the “Change begins with me” are too close to be passed as coincidence. There was a mistake by an overzealous administration staff and we regret that this has happened.
A Deputy Director in the Presidency has accepted responsibility for the insertion of the contentious paragraphs even when a query to him was being typed.
This serious oversight will be investigated thoroughly and appropriate punishment meted.
The Presidency, once again regrets this unfortunate incident. Measures have been put in place to ensure that this does not happen again.
President Muhammadu Buhari admonished Nigerians to move past incident and focus on the message of change which the country needs in order to restore our cherished value systems.
