Sports / Re: South Africa Coach Pitsomane Eyes Peseiro’s Job..says.nigeria Wants To Qualify’ by darexolu16(m): 4:22pm On Nov 29, 2023
robosky02:
‘Nigeria wants to qualify’– Coach Pitsomane eyes Jose Peseiro’s job

Jose Peseiro has faced a lot of criticism in the Nigerian football community following his team’s recent dismal performances

Former Al Ahly manager, Pitso Mosimane, expressed his desire to coach a national team, highlighting his admiration for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Soccernet.ng reports.

Renowned for his successful stints at Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns, Mosimane has previously been linked with coaching the Nigerian national team.

In a recent interview with the South African Football Journalists Association (SAFJA), he praised Nigeria and indicated his aspiration to lead a team to the World Cup.

The former Bafana Bafana manager assessed the Super Eagles’ lineup, acknowledging the talents within the squad.

“To be honest, I would like to coach in the World Cup. I do not choose what comes, I would like to go to the World Cup. South Africa wants to qualify, Nigeria wants to qualify,

“If you have Chukuweze and the boy playing for Napoli as your striker, I mean really. That Nigerian team is unbelievable.” he said.

Commenting on Nigeria’s recent performances in the World Cup qualifiers, Mosimane expressed concern about potential interference affecting the team’s dynamics.

“I saw the draw against Lesotho and Zimbabwe. Okay, it’s football, it happens. But how can politics between the government and the federation derail the team?” he questioned.

Looking ahead, with Nigeria scheduled to face South Africa in the next World Cup qualification tie in 2024, Mosimane expressed his desire for a victory for his country but acknowledged Nigeria’s strength.

“Of course, I want South Africa to win because I am South African. But in reality, I think Nigeria has the team, man,” he stated.

Amid growing discontent towards Peseiro due to Nigeria’s disappointing performances, speculation about potential replacements has surfaced.

Mosimane, whose name is among those rumored for the role, indirectly hinted at his interest in managing the Super Eagles and leading them to the World Cup.

“I really would like to go to the World Cup, but it must be a good team that can compete,” he emphasized.

As the Super Eagles prepare for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after securing their qualification, anticipation builds for their quest to claim a fourth AFCON trophy.

Make then just give him a chance biko

Properties / Re: My Fight With My Landlord by darexolu16(m): 3:13pm On Sep 21, 2023
specialofficer:
I have been having some issues in my room, I live with my mum and sister , it's a 3 bedroom flat, we pay 1.4m yearly and we've paid 3 times, last payment was in may.

My landlord increased the pressure point of our water in the compound and now water gas been leaking, pipes got burst in the wall and water has been coming out from walls and pop, I started complaining last month but they didn't do anything about it, it got to a point when the water was too much in my room, I wanted to get my landlords attention so I had to spoil our pumping machine and I brought out all the dirts in our dustbin, I acknowledge my mistakes but it was out of anger.

My landlord confronts me and we got into an argument and we insulted each other, I know i was wrong but if I didn't spoil that pumping machine, the landlord wouldn't have called plumber to repair the issues I was having in my room, I even discovered that i wasn't the only one experiencing such thing, my neighbors too were also having that same issues.

According to my landlord, he said he's not the one collecting money from us, we paid money to agent and if we have any issues we should contact the agent, this particular agent is his elder brother but this my landlord is living in our compound with us, though he has numerous houses.

Now my landlord said he doesn't want to see me again in his compound and has threatened my mum with quit notice, he said it's either I leave the house or my family would leave , he instructed the gateman not to open gate for me again or else he'll sack him. My fellow nairalanders I really need your help, how will I go about this?

Modified; The landlord threatened to call police if he ever sees me in his compound, he said he'll win me in court and it's malicious damage to his property, mind you, there's no evidence that I committed the offence, our gateman was the only eye witness.

Religion / Re: 3 Sweet Things That Keep Sending Many Men To Their Early Graves by darexolu16(m): 12:04pm On Aug 21, 2023
Interesting15:
Manhood is sacred, and male folks have been adorned with unique glory by God the Eternal Creator. As expected, the evil devil is aware of this, and he is extremely jealous. The devil hates you sorely, and he is already eager to do what he knows how to do best: "steal, kill and destroy" (John 10:10).

In history, and all through the Bible, there are several incidents where the devil successfully ruined glorious men and turned them into ashes. He utilized several mediums, particularly via what our fathers summarised as the "3 Gs". They are:

1. Gold (Love for money)
2. Girls (the Opposite gender)
3. Glory (Pride)

Let's briefly explore each.

1. Gold (Love for money)

At different times in history, many men have entered the pit of self-destruction through their great obsession with money. For instance, in the Bible (Joshua 7), we saw the story of a man called Achan whose love for money prompted him to steal what is forbidden. Unfortunately, the act led to his death (and he even implicated his family members).

Never make money your master. Money is a bad master, and it will make you a slave; prompting you to indulge in dangerous things just to acquire material things - stealing, kidnapping, killing others for money, etc. The Bible says "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." (I Timothy 6:10 )

Our Lord Jesus Christ says: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6:33)

As a man, when you walk with God intimately, He will bless you greatly. "The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it." (Proverbs 10:22)

2. Girls (the Opposite gender)

Many men at different points in history have entered their premature graves via the route of members of the opposite gender, usually through illicit sexual encounters. One glaring case study, as far as such a discourse as this is concerned, is that of Samson. Samson's endowments attracted immoral women. Like Samson, immoral women will always come your way too. Unfortunately, Samson went against God's will, and he was destroyed.

God's Will for sex is that all manner of sexual pleasure should be shared only between a married man and his female wife inside the safe confines of their marriage institution.

As a man in this generation, you must learn wisdom and learn to tame your healthy sexual urges (hence they put you into trouble). You should not have anything to do with just any kind of lady. Many people (both males and females) out there are possessed by demons, and are used by the devil to lead others into destruction. Yes, in fact, many beautiful-looking folks out there are actually direct agents of the devil - terrible and evil witches, belong to dark kingdoms, and are possessed with evil spirits.

3. Glory (Pride)

Many great men at various times in history died untimely due to Pride. Manhood is synonymous with strength and power. But you see, strength and power can be deceptive, as it can sponsor pride in you (you begin seeing yourself beyond what you are). Pride comes before a fall (meaning, if you are proud as a man, it's just a matter of time, your pride will get you crashed). Pride leads men into boldly putting their necks under a deadly axe!

Hence, as a man, you should humble yourself under God and be submissive to Him. It is pride to think you own your life and that you can live life without God.

It is wisdom and good humility to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and have an intimate righteous relationship with the Holy Spirit.

But her good character kept me going and I think I can work on her drink habit. Fast forward to third month, she told me one day when we were watching a movie (sex scene) together that she prefer rough sex, like someone to hang her leg with rope , stuff her mouth with clothes, do anything to make her uncomfortable and keep nacking her, I asked her again if she was serious and she said yeah. Later that night , I tried it with her and she was happy, she drank 4 or more bottles of Goldberg that night during the romp. It was during the course of us having the sex that she made a statement that still rings in my ears till today...she said " Ki nti é ri Igbo dié puff bayii" ( make I see small Indian hemp smoke) I smiled over it like nothing happened knowing fully well that I can't continue with her because she has the skill of shocking you with weird habit of hers gradually without thinking it's a big deal.

Kingjite1:
Hello guys,

I am going to brief few weeks before the lockdown I joined an India factory as a casual worker for the past two years and my supervisor had a great relationship but due to changes in management the new boss and my supervisor are always in disagreement.

Majority of the period it is the India guy that is at fault always looking for a way to punish my supervisor because my supervisor is being cherished by his direct boss.

For instance, when he gives an order and the end product is bad he would deny that he never gave such order so my supervisor derive a means to checkmate him anytime he gives such order my supervisor would tell him to sign on it.

So both of them were Tom and Jerry, so he was always looking for my supervisor replacement which was kind of tough because it is very sensitive department.

So due to my relationship supervisor he has taught me alot about the job to point that i do cover dor him when he not around,so early this year the india guy and my supervisor had a heated arguement regarding a mistake cause by the india guy which attracted the india man boss so they remove my supervisor.

Later in the day i was called up was offered the role of supervisor which i decline because i consider it a betrayer to my supervisor and number two reason was that if he can treat my supervisor that way what is the guratee i won't received the same treatment.

Regardless of higher pay cause everything is not about money.

For good three days i was harass to take up the job but i stood my ground that he better sack me than to take the position then .

When he saw that i was not going to take the job my supervisor was called back to work.

After that incident the india man has been like someone pour a tank of cold water on him.

He no longer shout at workers again it just an overnight change which really suprise everyone.

i just learnt something from you

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Bad Day: I Fell From Ladder Today While Doing House Painting by darexolu16(m): 4:01pm On May 11, 2023
Blossommind:
I want to share what could have landed me in death or in a disfigured state but God said NO, having seen that I only came to hustle for my daily bread. There are cases of this type that people don't live to testify. I shall not die before my time.

Note: please I dont know how to write without errors and as I am in an unstable state now. So apology to English teachers and students in advance if you see errors. I'm a product of evening school.

First of all, I am a hustler and I have this strong desire to become a better person in life despite my background. 30+, father of two who still went back to school to study for a degree for the sake of the future, which is also putting additional pressure on me.

I do house painting and farming. So I got this small painting work that could have help me earn some money which I really needed it, thus, I grabbed it with joy. A one story building. It is one side of the house, given to me by the main contractor. Everything was going fine until at some point when i shifted the ladder to another position, put a stopper at the base so that the ladder won't slip. Everything looked good just like l have been doing all the while before I climbed it. While still climbing far up with a bucket of paint and long roller on my left hand, suddenly, the ladder slipped backwardly and with speed like siooooooooooood....... (like in a second or two) till it crashed landed. You know that kind sioooood sound. Meanwhile, I can't explain when the paint left my hand back to the ground and when I also left the ladder without even knowing, on free fall until I crash landed too. There was nothing to hold or anyway to help myself to land well. Chai, may we not die while looking for our daily bread. That was how I landed on my back roughly and hit the head on the wall. Chai, come and see me in this condition, no how you won't pity me. I didn't even know what to do immediately on crashing on the ground, to cry hungry me but I no fit cry at the same time.

Worse thing is that this kind of fall does not give any room to defend yourself. You just fall helplessly like a bag of fufu and land anyhow. Poor me! This hapoened after 10am today.

As it were, that was the end of the work and am back in the house now licking my wounds. Since the job is at personal-risk, whatever you see, you take. Nobody to complain to for sympathy.

Meanwhile, my second child is less than a month old. Praise be to God for not letting this moment of joy turn to tears, assuming injuries required medical emergency or even death.

To be a man is not a day job. It takes a lot to build to become a man especially, financially.

Right here at home, back/body pain, swollen head with serious headache (as I hit on the wall), dislocated joints (right wrist) and sharp pain around the left part of the waist, all going on around me.

"Brother Bernard" happened to me.

Sorry man...God will provide a very good job for u soon

Family / Re: My Cousin "Disowned" Her Son. by darexolu16(m): 7:39pm On Feb 11, 2023
Zupay:
My cousin's son has been a source of disturbance to me for the past 2 weeks.

The background story.

My cousin got pregnant with him when she was 19 but the father who then in his mid 20s denied the pregnancy in the presence of both families and went on to claim the reason he gave her money to procure an abortion was because he was only one of the guys sleeping with my cousin at the time (which was a blatant lie) and it was his own contribution.

My Uncle and Aunt (my cousin's parents) had to accept the guy's denial and solely took care of my cousin's pregnancy. Her son was born in 2007 and bears my Uncle's name, he was taken care of by his grandparents, uncles and aunts as his mother went back to school and graduated. My cousin got a better paying job in 2015 and moved out of their family house with her son, who is presently in S.S.2.

The biological father resurfaced sometime last year in May, starting to make claims and all. He went directly to the boy's school to introduce himself and starting meeting the boy, buying him things without my cousin's knowledge until the man showed up at my uncle's house with some of his relatives but my uncle didn't receive them.

The boy was becoming rude to his mother, talking back at her, telling her he would push for a change in his surname to that of his biological father, became cold to his grandparents etc To cut long story, he moved to his father's house in August of last year and resumed school from there. My cousin (his mother) was seriously sick in October of last year, this boy never bothered to call on his mother despite knowing of her illness and he has a phone he uses freely.

My cousin (his mother) relocated to the UK early this January, on a skilled worker visa as she works in a children' home and have made up her mind to refocus on getting married and having other kids. Her son has been calling her, which she has never picked also sending her long stories of how his father's wife have been maltreating him even in the presence of his father and the father would say nothing. Pleading with the mother to bring him over to the UK to live with her (her visa allows her to bring her son to the UK easily since he is under 18) but my cousin have not been replying him and this boy has been disturbing me to talk his mother on his behalf as I am very close to my cousin.

I have spoken to my cousin severally and she insisted she has washed off her hands where her son is concerned, that she doesn't want him around her as she needs to live singly and have a relationship that would lead to marriage, that she really wants to settle down.

I have told the boy to concentrate on finishing secondary school but he seems obsessed with wanting to relocate to the UK though my other cousin (his mother's younger brother) has confirmed that the boy is having it rough living with the father, his wife and other children.

I believe his mother has a right to have a new lease of life.

This boy is always messaging me asking for updates, I don't know what else to tell him!

The stupid boy left his mother cos of the gifts his so called father was using to entice him....now he's gotten wat he wants and he wants to get back...I see him suffering a lot but I see his mother taking him back when she eventually settles down with someone and started a family...he will later be named THE PRODIGAL SON...This I have seen!

Crime / Re: I Got Into A Messy Fight This Morning Going For An Interview by darexolu16(m): 12:16pm On Feb 11, 2023
Onedayoneday:
Based on tips, I had to attend an interview today. The information was that if I am shortlisted, I will start work latest first week of March. So I was very happy and ready to do anything to attend the interview.

As an applicant without a kobo, I had to kneel down begging a neighbour before he borrowed me 1k to enable me pay my way. The transport fare to and from was to gulp N400 or more.

My in and out was just the 1k. In fact, my feeding was also inside the 1k - everything. So it was a priceless 1k that every kobo was very important.

Early in the morning, I heard people arguimg over the deadline for new naira notes. People refused to collect the old naira notes.

So I boarded a bus with the N1000 note which I paid to the conductor. My transport fare was N100. When I came down, the conductor gave me new N500 note and two old N200 notes, making it N900. I refused to collect the old N200 notes. He insisted he didnt have new naira notes to change for me. Argument ensued as I refused to collect the old notes.

Like I said, that was the only money with me. So I didnt want to take any chances of collecting old notes that I will later not be able to use. So in the midst of the argument, he wanted to move and leave, I tried to stop him by gently holding his t-shirt. I didnt know his polo shirt was that soft. Unluckily for me, the polo got torn.

That was how war was declared. The conductor and the driver descended on me. They first targeted at tearing my shirt too despite showing remorsefulness over getting his shirt torn. Not once, not twice, they kept tearing my shirt till at some point, I put a resistance. Of course that couldn't be without a fight. I won't lie, those guys dealt with me. Two agbero hands descending on one non-agbero hand. Before people could intervene, they tore my shirt and a part of my trouser, gave me serious bruises, got me so dirty and stopped me from attending the interview.

I went back home like a mad man.

A very sad day for me.

May God help and bless me with a well-paid job.

Body shaming is not limited to the female folks alone. This a misconception most people have. Guys are also body shamed.
For me I have a pointed kind of ear and I was body shamed about it. This is so bad that up till now I don't like taking photos because of the way people has body shamed me.

We should be careful how we talk about body parts of people because it carries with it damages that takes time to heal.

i think it depends on ur mindset..maybe u are feeling inferior when they say that...like me now i was very short during my secondary school days and my nickname was "small" i was never for one day sad cos of the nickname...now i m tall many of them are not calling me small again but whenever i see someone call me by that name again i m always happy cos it makes me to remember my past...just no reason am bro u will be fine if u can do that
