This was one of our biggest faults as a team yesterday. We didn't have any sense of urgency at all. We didn't take advantage when a Brazil had too many players in the offensive end. We always allowed them set up before we begin plays. It became more obvious when Nicole came in as she wanted to activate plays almost immediately but we were just too docile Everyone was to blame here.

There were times when I felt Chiamaka could begin a counter attack but she just slows it down and this gives Brazil enough time to setup their defense. Very disappointing overall.

This is the lack of surprise that pisses off someone that is not a fan of falcons but joins you to watch for the first time. The element of surprise and pace. This why Japan did what they did at the world cup. No time for too many touches. It is when we are leading a game that the gk should be trying to slow down things. Nicole gave one sweet through pass and onumonu abi kanu was beaten by the fullback tracking back. I trust Ajakaye with such or the Ordega we knew. Otilo.

If you can't run or dribble, why should you be on the wings for heaven's sake. Randy messed up abeg. Seems it's his style to do that to every 1st game of every tournament he's been in. It's a pattern now

codemaniacs:

The players position themselves too far from each other so that means they had to run more and make longer passes which makes them tired and the weird thing is they played better when they position themselves closer to each other but the coaches didn't seem to notice..

The successors and next generation of players need to be invited to be super falcons..

this team missed players like Gift Monday, Ajakaiye and Flourish Sebastian on the wings.

The person playing the left wing wasn't dropping deep to help Okeke in defending..
We definitely needed fresh blood in the setup. Esp the wings. Infact let everyone play their preferred natural position. Too many makeshifts.

Who were those heavy?

2 fullbacks
2 midfielders
Two subs

I saw 4 of these in 1st half when they were not yet fatigued. More annoying when a fresh sub comes on and is acting like they've been on the field for 70mins

And i dunno if na my eyes but the WWC version of our gk is different from the one i saw yesterday too.
Sports / Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 12:45pm On Jul 26
Yesterday's game was not a good game abeg. undecided undecided undecided
Symptoms persists and so a doctor or physician is needed!! Forget those stats. There's nothing disparaging about comments made on that abysmal showing. Stats don't lie but remember the scoreline didn't do justice to overall conclusion. I watched the game and will NOT be contented with the full time stats. And that's all sincerity.

The reason we ought to be clinical up front is because of we are not favourites to do anything in the group of deadly powerhouses that all they need is a mistake(which we keep doing) to make their own difference.

We have not crossed that bridge where if a team makes a mistake, the probability that we'll pounce and get a goal is too low. Decision making around final third.

We want the best for this team. But if criticism is seen as overdo then we don't need nobody to tell us that we will continue to give 6/10 as best when 7 should start to be the least per game.

What would you rate Super Falcons Captain, Rasheedat Ajibade’s performance against Brazil ?🫶🌸
The game was so annoying that the metric to show she was the better player on the field for Falcons was that shot on target. Cringe! While she needs to work on decision making as regarding her passes to the 9, she needs to yell at her teammates to run into spaces or create passing options too. She can't do it all so i think she needs to start looking out for Payne, Echegini and Ucheibe more and work on how to do better with the 9 near her. Till then.

How 6 of them were looking heavy today is what I don't get. If they do 100m competition between Marta10 and 6of our players, Marta go finish 1st in all, judging by what i saw today.

Individual performance.
Decision making.
Long balls
And most importantly, this nonsense thing that we call our pressing. How will you leave a lone figure upfield to press?
I just pray Spain no add to these Super Pain we dey feel right now. This was an underwhelming and disastrous game which the scoreline didn't justify.

Sports / Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 8:16pm On Jul 25
The Figure to use to cap up our performance tonight is the ever present Marta who is above 40. She was everywhere in this 2nd half while ladies slightly above half her age were behaving like they were full of fufu or pregnant. Yeah she is the cr7 of female football, but the fact that she is outperforming and influencing the game than your best individual contribution is a slap and punch on the face. Infact, it is a Randy Orton RKO!!

See Okeke doing like She's a mistake of a choice for starting. Look at Nnadozie's bluffs. See what Okoronkwo is playing and Toni.

Ucheibe came alive in 80th min. But it was useless. And why do they ball watch when Ajibade is with the ball taking on two players? Her own decision making is wack today but nobody tries to open up space for her so she always want to dribble out.

We had good shooting chances tonight but see how they are shooting like their legs are melted. After Ajibade and Ucheibe shots, the rest are pretenders.

Onumonu when we need runners? Kanu i dunno what to say. Those calling for Oshoala think that with what we saw, she will make a big difference?

Randy's setup was initial problem but they held on well. 2nd half was abysmal. They better just return to 4123 or 343.

I can't get the image of Marta outperforming our ladies out of my head. Naaaahhhh. That's an indictment.

Anyway the girls are trying and with a bit of effort we can either draw or win this match

Kudos to the girls

You must be Goating(kidding will be an understatement)

Did you see how that goal was conceded?
And the terrible decisions made?
Are the Brazilians doing anything special to be ahead? And if we lose, nobody will remember we were doing okay until silly loss of concentration at this stage ruined efforts of others. If you can't demand better and it is "typical nigerians" to you, then i dunno what will convince you sha.

Decision making and terrible passes is killing our attack. We are helping the brazilians feel special because of that. That should trigger anger in any Falcons fan.
Sports / Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 7:00pm On Jul 25
Echegini on wing is a terrible idea. Experimenting with a team you ought to go brutal on is a terrible idea. These passes are annoying. You can't be seeing a whole space created by ihezuo and still be passing to her(a wack pass at that). The idea is to occupy that space and make those two defenders choose to stop and follow you while ihezuo picks an onside spot while your teammates provide even more passing options. Kilode

That attacking setup and decision making is killing the game. Them dey vex me for simple decisions. Ya passing 1-5 times to same outmarked 9 in same manner. Are you okay. You can't give a lobbed pass ni? Mtchew

If Nketiah goes another striker will come. And Da will be happy 😁

Nketiah himself has been decent in this game, drawing a lot of fouls. Nwaneri also has been solid, trying to make sure Nketiah scores.

Lol. To compete with the best, we need someone that other coaches will be crazy to have. So....

To be the best, decent is championship level. We need fear factor. But you already know my stance.so.... cool

As this group stage progresses, one pain that will be resounded is the absence of Rinsola Babajide. Best of luck and blessings to the ladies. I hope the 16years of absence is a motivator for them all, especially this very Brazil.

This was the plan all along when they started reg years ago and were helping people that can input their data themselves to do it saying those are the orders of the boss. That was how these nimc reg officials inputed wrong information for thousands in the reg centre i was in despite giving accurate info. You'll see it and they'll tell you to your face that goan do the corrections later that queue is long.

So money making was the aim alll along. They did it to many elderly people too.

Charging 15 to 20k as correction fee for errors made by themselves is criminal and big extortion. You guys should do better. To change data of such magnitude should not be at such a cost. If the entries were majorly by people themselves now, this would be quite a huge punishment for lack of concentration. Criminals!!!
