Childish response..smh

Ok even if she's a former hoe..and so what? He married her..it's oritsefemi's headache to deal with. People should learn to mind their business. Oritsefemi also brought it on himself by ranting unnecessarily about his wedding.

Btw, it has become disgusting for men to want to insult women especially on social media and start by calling her olosho, ashawo, prostitute etc when they have nothing else to say to you..they call you a hoe. Even here on nairaland. That nonsense has to stop! Not every woman is automatically a hoe. Stop slutshaming!

I am actually your age mate , like a someone said , relationships can be headaches if u lack the maturity to manage them , have had one , turned out bad cos it was my first and it caused me a lot of headache. I decided to focus on my life and my education. U also said u have friends who engaged in more of an orgy lifestyle and are doing pretty gud, let me remind u that having a successful life involves God's favour , once u have that , u are gud to go plus your own hard work to an extent. My advice is focus on ur life , that is your priority, have a female friend but don't be too emotionally attached cos it could distract u ( from experience).

God just help any doctor that will act this way if I find myself in any hospital..

Police needs to start arresting doctors and nurses who neglect patients
to die.
I feel there is still more to this story , what kind of hospital leaves the emergency to probably house officers alone , no medical officer , no resident, that is terrible.
Another narrative is that the doctors obtained cash from them , I find that difficult to believe , the money goes to the hospital, so why will a doc demand cash from u when its not a private facility. I understand she is saddened with her friend's death but we need to find out d truth before crucifying the doctors.

Education / Re: 3 Reasons Why Nigerians Choose To Study Medicine Abroad by delana(m): 8:34pm On Dec 10, 2017
Abroad where exactly ? The basics of undergraduate medical education is simply to integrate your clinical knowledge into clinical practice , know how to take a good history and examine appropriately, order the necessary investigation not consuming the patient's money and formulate reasonable differentials, refer the patient if need be. Remember the curriculum we use here in Nigeria is far differs from what obtains in Ukraine , Russia, the cases we see are different, so it wont be easy for any foreign trained doc to adapt here hence the need for the remedial program. A friend who schooled in Ukraine once told me they don't read textbooks the way we do here , I asked about patient contact , she said it was minimal , she said they are given all the materials they will be needing for each semester /year at once and they are examined after each course , so no professional exams like in Nigeria . My opinion is medicine I Nigeria is behind but the average Nigerian medical graduate is good , am not looking down on the foreign trained but if u must travel pls make it uk , us or any other nice country though quite expensive, u will receive standard training , a friend who trained in Ukraine once diagnosed a suspected peptic ulcer case as koch's disease , am not saying they are bad but some cant match the clinical judgment necessary in d Nigerian setting , its not everytime u will have access to the best diagnostic technology

because you don't have money to get trained abroad doesn't mean you should belittle those who do

how can you compare the standard of medicine abroad with Nigeria's?.. its a far cry Mr man...i don't know y you're pained..because your write up is flawed
most Nigerian doctors are just proud. they don't even know how to diagnose properly.. and then you say ure better than to those who had proper training

Why not do some personal research on both courses , I mean the pros and cons of both courses, find the one which suits you and go ahead , the course one studies at times doesn't guarantee wealth , wealth is God's blessings and your own hard work.

how many people have brain problem, how many people need operation in orthopaedics, how many people need plastic surger? come to oau dental hospital and see diff type of people with swollen tongue, mouth etc for surgery. Whether you like it or not, dentistry is still the most patronised surgery. If you do neurosurgery, dont be surprised to see just only about 5 patients in two years. Compare to dentistry.
this is quite funny cos as a final year medical student, I just completed my surgery postings, neurosurgery is extremely busy or dont u have RTA patients in your center with epidural and subdural hematoma or children with hydrocephalus or encephalocele . Orthopedics is a busy surgical practice especially trauma patients with fractures , and not forgetting this era of hip and knee transplants

Romance / Re: Dont Know It To Ask For Forgiveness From My Ex (advise Needed Urgently) by delana(m): 9:29am On Jun 10, 2017
mostsimpliest:
On a very serious note this has got me down since yesterday night and i have no one to ask or share this with among my friends cause none of them will listen to me as far as is about this girl (my ex)

It all started when i was in my level 300 first semester after we started dating, even the air i breath can bear me witness that i loved this girl with my life that i couldn't spent 2 hours without hearing from her. I got to know her through a secondary school classmate which was her friend and roommate then, I was the type that don't do relationship stuff since i thought it was all about waste of time and even doubt if there was anything like true love, I told this friend of mine about my love for her friend and she laughed and said that i can't date her since am the no-nonsense type and that she has hot tempered like me and that she was madly in love with her guy and she doesn't double date.

With time they had problem with this guy which i used to my advantage and she accepted my proposal of dating.

On this day, Etisalat were doing one bonanza like that and i wanted to participate and didn't have their sim whereas this my ex was having an etisalat and mtn sim,
I collected her sim so that i participate in the promo only for me to start seeing what i wasn't suppose to see but sincerely i never suspected her of any misdeed, I was so heartbroken by the messages on her phone especially from a particular number.

I saved d no. and chatted up with the guy not knowing dah he was her so-called ex that know me even though i didn't know him then coz we lived in the same area....she called me that night and was raining causes on me and threatening to cut off the relationship that i didn't trust her that's why i chatted up with him,i pleaded with all my life for days before she accepted my apology after i carried out my research on her i got to understand that they were still dating...

To cut the story short towards my exams she started showing me attitudes before telling me it was over.....I attempted suicide only friends were able to stop me from that callous act

Her mum invited me over that i should try begging her if i still got achance,i stupidly begged this girl because i was totally in love with her,she agreed buh that i will be the side boyfriend and that her guy mustnt know that we dating,i happily acepted buh guess what some months to exams again its over with plenty insults and threats from her that am too jealous that she doesnt wanna loose her bf.i accepted in good faith.

After sometime, she called me on the phone mind you she asked me not to ever call her or chat her up,i picked and was giving her one word answer which make her never to call me again...but seriously am now feeling bad like am childish dont know whether to call her or what do you guys think?
what happened to you is similar to my experience but I never even thought of killing myself. Its all a learning process, don't feel bad , you truly loved her , my advice is for you to work on yourself and become a better person and you will have them flocking over you

Education / Re: 500-L LASU Student Stabbed To Death, Police Use Teargas On Protesting Students by delana(m): 8:41am On Mar 21, 2017
9jakohai:
Hmmm

What strikes me about the story is the fact that the student, on being hit by the truck driver, got out of the car to fight with the truck driver, and got stabbed to death.

Now, I am not excusing the student's death. It should not have happened. But fighting a guy because he bashed your vehicle?

In Nigeria today, people get angry over little things. I recall the time when at a junction in Abuja, I once observed a driver run into another driver. The chap he ran into got out of his car in anger and smashed his fist on the bonnet of the offending car with so much force that he caused a visible dent. A fight resulted, which was sorted out by a nearby traffic warden (No one got arrested).

So, if this case goes to court....I won't be surprised if the driver can get off scott free on the grounds that he acted in self defence. After all, he could claim with some justification that was physically attacked by the student in question.....

And when that happens, some people would be crying tribe, or partiality, or bribe...forgetting that the deceased got out of his car to fight with the truck driver.Once that happened...the truck driver had a case for self defence there.(He could still, IMO get in jail for manslaughter...but my legal-minded nairalanders know better.)

Look, as someone who has an anger problem, I know how I feel when someone does me wrong (I can still remember the anger I felt when one taxidriver ran into me at a junction while I was waiting for the red light to turn green.I did not say anything, just got out, examined my car , and then drove off)....but sometimes it is better to keep your hands to yourself when you are angry. Because you don't know if the chap you want to fight has a weapon on him....
God bless u for this point. I see no reason for the quarrel, it is so common here in lagos
