Studying Abroad is really not as difficult as people think, neither is it as costly to get as people think. We work directly with schools abroad, meaning: your admission is authentic and you don't have to pay huge agency commissions. We select schools that are affordable and with simple admission requirements. DeQeo Consulting is a Study Abroad Agency that facilitates the process of gaining genuine admissions into universities abroad. We don't just offer admission letters, we guide our students throughout the process from the point of application until they arrive and settle abroad fully and legally. We have started processing admissions for the Fall Semester (September 2013) into the following countries: Northern Cyprus, Malaysia, Turkey and India. CONTACT US NOW! @mitojojo: what has your experience been? i've also been here 5yrs, and have used egypt air as well, and i have friends that have used egypt air too, both new and old students, with no problems, so what was your experience? someone else was telling me stuff about issues with egypt air in cairo, i still don't understand what the problem is or what? so um, kindly elaborate what your experience was so people can learn from it. and if it's the issue of luggage or hotel accommodation, there's are instructions, and MOST people just ignore them. sometimes, egypt air is the cheaper option. |

DUDE, seriously ![]() * beans (there are up to 6 different types of beans here) * maggi (there's maggi here, knorr and a few other variety) * noodles. this one is optional, at your own discretion. my personal advise, leave it and use the load for other things as there's noodles here as well * beverages (there's also variety of beverages here) * DO NOT BRING cooking pot! seriously, save yourself the stress. * do not bring utensils things you CAN or SHOULD bring, * ground dry pepper (in good quantity, in case you don't like the chilly pepper here) * ukazi * dried bitter leaf, pumpkin leaf, dried ground melon, dried ground ogbono, and similar items. has to be DRIED as is, under good sun for as long as possible so that it doesn't spoil. if you can't dry it long enough, don't worry, do the much you can, SUMMER just ended here and the sun is still quite hot so a few days under Cyprus summer sun will do the work. * red oil, bring that one oh. there's variety of cooking oil here but no red oil. * stock fish. there is smoked fish here, so if you were thinking of bringing that, there's no need. * bring garri * yams and plantains * your favorite spices * hair cream, if you use. their hair is different from ours to the hair creams they use ain't exactly suitable for our. bring apple or petals or whichever is your favorite. i'm yet to find a suitable hair cream here. but as for body cream, enough dey. * if you use relaxer, carry come too i think that's all i can remember off the top of ma head (just waking up sef). but i did write a similar list on this thread if you can find the page: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-24054.96.html at the customs, tell them you're a student and you need these things where you're going, and they should let you pass. highest, you settle them between $1 to $10, as has always been my case and a few other friends. i say this cos it was my experience twice. first time coming, the fella was just removing EVERYTHING i had, big bag or pepper, garri, egusi, etc. and one of his superiors came and was like, what is this ![]() 2nd time i passed through, just ME i was about to open and say "oya, search my things oh, find wetin una dey find" they were like, shey you be student? and i was like, yea. looked at my passport and was like, hmm, cyprus buy, oya settle us something, give you boys something. and i was like, no cash mehn lol. then he looked at how much i declared in the paper, like $3000 and he was like, see money na. and i was like, ah, i no go pay school fees again? we laughed and he told the others, oya, let cyprus boy pass, e dey go read book. i don't remember if i game em anythihng sha. but let them know you're a student, and it should be easy for you. if anything else, ask or email me |

lol it's not about spoiling my biz or show, no be today people start to talk crap bout this place (not referring to you abeg ![]() Follow that thread, you'd understand. Actually, one of the reasons i'm an agent is as a result trying to correct the wrong picture people create about this place. i've been here 5yrs and i love it, i'd recommend it for anyone (not hustlers). but what i've come to realise is that the peopel giving this place bad name are those "hustlers" looking for "papers", there are no papers in Cyprus (whether north or south). if you wanna study and get a degree, come and do so here. if you wanna hustle, go other countries. Cyprus if for easy going people. those who came here to study have gotten their degrees, were very happy and moved on with their lives (some even still come back). life is easy and sweet here oh (mostly for those with money ![]() so nothing personal bro, and sorry if it sounded that way. but you know how it is when people say wrong things bout your thing, you take it personal. the other day, i read a thread saying Nigerians are suffering here. i don't know what part of Cyprus that place is oh! come and see Nigerians living large here, i know students here with cars, living in expensive apartments, etc. yet someone says they're suffering. a friend of mine rented a car some time ago, held the car for an entire semester, i don't wanna do the maths ($40 per day). funny thing is, the person saying that Nigerians are suffering here has NEVER been to Cyprus. if Nigerians are suffering here, i wont have been here 5yrs plus. i try to paint Cyprus as it is cos some have been lied to about this place, that its EUROPE, it's just 1 train stop away from France, a bus ride from Greece, a boat ride from Germany, and other funny stories lol mehn, you won't believe what people have been told about Cyprus. they say this and that about the place, and when most of them reach here, ask them to go back, they won't go! people complained so much one time and my school offered free tickets for them to go back, NO BODY came forward!!! yea, that's how much they're suffering here, that they don't wanna go back even for free. so let's just say things as they are (still not referring to you bros) the issue of north Cyprus and "turkey" is that the north part is owned and controlled by Turkey while the south is kinda controlled by Greece. so north is usually called Turkish Cyprus and south is usually called Greek Cyprus. south is EU but life isn't any better. my elder bro schooled there. once again, sorry bout my tone. just advising other who're gonna read this later on. |

for me, i always try PNG. If that doesn't satisfy me size-wise, i try JPG before lastly settling for GIF. if its an image that doesn't have to be high quality or require high details, i'd use GIF most probably. But if i need high quality with small size, i use PNG. in my experience so far, PNG has about the smallest size for most images u've worked with as compared to GIF or JPG. i guess that's why it's called PNG, portable network graphics. i especially like it for its transparency as i work A LOT with images that should have transparent backgrounds. there's no transparency with JPG and that sucks sometimes cos JPG sometimes has the smallest size when i need to export. same things, depends on the task at hand sha |

@pateuropa: i have no idea where you get your information from. European University of Lefke is NOT in Turkey, it is in Cyprus, Northern Cyprus. Neither Turkey nor Northern Cyprus is in EU, but Southern Cyprus is. I've been here for 5 years and counting. We had 46 NIGERIAN graduates just last semester; most of them are doing their youth service, some will go in with the next batch, others have go to other countries for masters and a few are still chilling around here. There are 5 universities here in the North, 2 of which i KNOW for a fact are recognized in Nigeria and internationally, European University of Lefke and Eastern Mediterranean University, both of which i attended. So please, KNOW what you're saying before you speak. Don't give people wrong information cos people have come to Cyprus with wrong information only to find out it's not what "people" say it is. Ask from the right sources and draw YOUR OWN conclusions. Same goes for anyone else out there. |
